The gentleman on the phone was very nice, polite, and didn't rush me off the phone. Since our phone conversation went well the next day I brought my vehicle to get tested for emissions. In my past experiences with places that test for emissions usually have certain hours and waiting times and if their employees are working on other vehicles I would have to wait or make an appointment. With D & R as soon as I arrived they took my vehicle in right away and I was out within ten minutes from start to finish. I also noticed there was a vehicle in the bay on the lift and I was still shown priority which is refreshing. I also asked about prices on breaks and I was quoted a reasonable price cheaper than other automotive businesses. I will be bringing my vehicle back to them. I believe they work on small jobs based on the size of the shop. They are very reasonable and treat you with respect. I may have only used them for emissions at this point and I will be returning for other jobs when needed. If you want someone who won't rip you off please call them for a quote or take a ride down and meet the owner. You won't be sorry. Janice Merrigan Clinton, CT.

Joe Duddie cost us our vehicle due to his negligence, and we were forced to take him to civil court, where a judge ordered him to return our payment. Despite this, Joe ignored the court's deadline, and even after I personally reached out and gave him an extra 24 hours to respond, he never replied. Joe Duddie is not the kind of person who takes accountability. He lies, leaves out critical information about the work he performs, and when things go wrong, he refuses to take responsibility. Just like others have shared in their reviews, our experience echoes a pattern of shady practices -- Joe performs faulty work that ends up ruining vehicles, and then refuses to inspect or correct his own mistakes. This is not an honest mechanic. Do not trust this man. Do not bring your vehicle here. There are plenty of reputable shops in the area that value integrity and customer service -- Duddies Automotive is not one of them. and still no payment has been received even after being ordered by the court.
