Great 1 owner car as everything checked out perfect. The owner selects quality vehicles and sells at a reasonable price.

I recently purchased an 06 Acura MDX from Franklin Motors in Hartford. After searching for cars for…read moreabout 6 months, I stopped in and looked at the car. I was satisfied with their selection. They mainly carry high end used cars, but a huge variety for a small dealership. The vehicle I bought had 1 owner and had the entire service record with the vehicle. The few things that needed to be addressed were taken care of by Franklin Motors. The owner Rocky was very accommodating and helpful. I had originally emailed them to look at the vehicle and within minutes Paul the finance manager contacted me. Both Rocky and Paul were a pleasure to work with. I am an out-of-state resident and they took care of registering the vehicle for me. The price on the vehicle was fair, and the miles were lower than at other dealerships. I have purchased used cars before without satisfaction and I can say this was by far the easiest and most comfortable transaction yet. I would strongly recommend Franklin Motors to my friends, family and co-workers. They don't pressure you into a vehicle and they are really good at accommodating any questions or concerns you have about the vehicle. Best experience I've had purchasing a car by far.

The vehicle was delivered with several issues that directly affect both safety and the minimum quality expected from a vehicle in this price range, including severely worn tires, a tire losing air pressure, and a malfunction in the parking assistance system, with a warning light appearing on the dashboard only hours after the purchase. At the time of purchase, I clearly explained that this vehicle would be used for a long-distance trip of approximately 3,000 miles to California, which makes the condition in which the car was delivered even more concerning. When I returned to the dealership in a respectful and polite manner seeking a reasonable solution, I was treated with a complete lack of professionalism. One employee in particular behaved in an arrogant and disrespectful way, even pretending not to understand me when I asked him to personally inspect the issue with me. It is unacceptable for a customer to invest such a significant amount of money into a vehicle and receive a product with evident safety concerns, while also being treated with disrespect instead of honesty, professionalism, and accountability. This type of treatment is not only harmful to customers, but also damaging to the dealership's own reputation and credibility. Businesses that fail to respect and properly support consumers after a sale ultimately lose the trust of the community and create a negative image for future buyers. My intention with this review is simply to warn future customers about the negative experience we had and to reinforce that every customer deserves transparency, respect, and proper support when dealing with issues that arise immediately after purchasing a vehicle.

Everyone was cheerful and made me feel they were happy I was there. They communicated clearly, concisely, and were detail oriented. *DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND $10K IN REPAIRS*…read moreMy wife and I were going to the store when our 18' Toyota Tacoma stopped working, so we called AAA to tow our vehicle to the nearest shop which was unfortunately, South Green Automotive. They told us our alternator was dead, so they replaced it. Charged us a good amount of money which we thought was a little bit on the expensive side but they gave us a warranty so we had that to fall back on. At least that's what we thought... Not even six months later, and our alternator failed again which led us to think that maybe they had a defective alternator so we called back to see if we can get into the warranty that they promised us, and basically had to beg them to honor their warranty, which seemed very sketchy and just unprofessional for me. They charged us the parts plus the labor cost when a lot of shops waive the labor because of the warranty and only have the customer pay the parts. Unfortunately, this was not one of the shops. Not even three months later, and the car failed again so I decided to take matters into my own hands and change the alternator and the battery so that way they wouldn't be any failure of the charging system with both parts being brand new. That only lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks, so after being fed up with this issue, I decided to take it to the Toyota dealership which told me that the alternator connector was severed, the pins were damaged and misaligned which caused the alternator to fail. Two years, Four alternators, three batteries and $10,000 later I am now hoping that my car will be fixed tomorrow so I can finally drive it. It is a shame that AAA allows for these kind of shops to continue providing service without any sort of checks or balances, because something as simple as a connector could've been inspected and repaired. Then again, Toyota mentioned that they have only seen BAD MECHANICS sever connectors and wires. There's a reason this place less than 50 reviews.
