State PD contacted Untouchable for the tow. Inspecting the area I could not see how the truck could be extracted without further damage to my fence. That being said....... I have to give Kudo's to Matthew, the tow "guy" who showed up with a Untouchable flatbed. Matthew inspected the situation and after hooking up the pick up from a couple differnt areas, artfully first pull the vehicle away from the fence then rehook and pull it away from the tree and onto the flatbed. I cannot speak for any other services that Untouchable but as for towing service (specifically Matthew), I had a 5 star experience and would recommend the service.

My stepfather was quoted $691 for a tow from Colchester to Westerly. According to him and my mother, trouble with the payment link turned into a demand for $300 cash to unhook the van roughly a mile into the trip--even though she offered to pay by card over the phone. My stepfather says the driver also threatened to beat him in the parking lot. They took the van to their yard instead of Westerly, then demanded the full $691 to release it. We received conflicting payment instructions, including cash only and an additional 4% to use my card. When I arrived, the owner, Charles, was hostile, screamed, threatened to call the police, and increased the demand by another $100 during the confrontation. I encouraged him to call the police. Charles, your masculinity looked awfully fragile for someone putting that much effort into acting tough. If being questioned about a bill sends you into a screaming fit, you're poorly equipped to deal with customers, never mind run a business. And after all that noise, you retreated into your office. Quite the performance: enough attitude to start the confrontation, apparently not enough composure to finish a conversation. My mother also reported being sworn at and accused of being drunk while trying to arrange payment. Imagine owning a business and still needing someone to explain how to speak to another adult. If squeezing a family already dealing with a breakdown makes you feel accomplished, that is a pathetic definition of success. Having control of somebody's transportation gives you leverage. Mistaking that leverage for strength is embarrassing. What I saw was a petty bully with an inflated opinion of himself fueled by surrounding himself with weaker personalities who enable him to live his life this way and a temper he expected everyone else to accommodate. The extra $100 made it feel as though we were being billed for bruising his ego. Ofcourse it's "cash only" or "Cash App". You would've thought I was trying to get him to rewrite the declaration of Independence blinded folded by requesting a receipt for the payment so I could take it to the dmv as required when making a formal complaint (which I encourage anybody with a similar expirience to do. They might ignore one or two but if enough people have the same experiences and report it eventually they'll have to investigate this guy and I'd bet the entire kingdom that if any official authority were to take even the tiniest of look at this "untouchable towing" they would find all sorts of illegal ways he's running this business so food for thought) My warning: get every price, payment condition, destination, and possible additional charge in writing before this company touches your vehicle. Especially if you cannot afford an expensive argument while your van sits in their yard. This "business" is a band of thieves and crooks who know how to abuse the system and rules to take absolute advantage of you and they will not miss the chance to do so if you aren't careful.

I initially had a mobile service mount and balance the tires. Had some really bad shaking of the wheel so I took it to Middlebury Garage to check out what was happening. They are literally walking distance my house so its rather convenient. They remounted and rebalanced all 4 tires. It was still shaking a bit so I contacted them again and they were more than happy to take another look. It ended up being 3 of the 4 tires that I had were defective and even with the latest and greatest road force elite tire balancing system they were not able to get it to fully balance. They definitely put in their best effort and were honest enough to tell me that an alignment wasn't necessary because everything was already perfectly aligned. After getting new tires from the manufacturer everything has been perfect! Next time Im going to have Middlebury Garage mount and balance my tires from the start.

I was in an upside-down loan for a long time after realizing I got myself into a mess when buying that car. I went from dealer to dealer... even tried private sale a thousand times. Dead end every time. I finally was able to put a pretty good payment down and clear most of the debt, but it was still a little above trade in value. I was on the search for a cheaper car to build my credit and was specifically looking for a manual Honda Civic. Dan had just the car I desired. I contacted him and told him my situation and how desperarate I was to downsize. He explained he doesn't normally get into that sort of exchange considering the car was still being financed, but he took a chance on me. It took weeks for me to figure out my finances and he was patient and let me hold the car with a small deposit. Meanwhile, before I even paid for the Civic, he heard all of my concerns regarding the cars service needs and went above and beyond to make sure that the car was ready to go. This is what stood out to me the most about his character. He took it upon himself to find more and more to put into it to make sure that it beat my expectations. And he sure did. There was no pressure to buy his vehicle-in fact he even tried to make sure I thought I was making the right decision. On top of that, he paid off my Accord despite the odds stacked against me. His son assisted with the test drive, as I'm new to standard cars. Nothing but patient, kind, and honest people. You can tell they are a good family. Buying or leasing a car can be a dreadful process. More often than not, as soon as the negotiation…read morestarts, it feels like a high pressure deal where you're inevitably getting screwed somewhere in the process. I've certainly experienced that, and feel as though I'm on high alert whenever walking into a dealership, expecting it to be a less than fun experience. Ty Curry and the entire crew at VW of Hartford however, were so much different than that, and I now have a new favorite dealership to turn to. I emailed an inquiry about a VW Alltrack on a Sunday when they were closed, and decided to risk it and drive from Brooklyn, NY to Hartford first thing Monday morning not knowing if the car I was looking for was still available. Ty responded to the email as soon as they opened and we spoke on the phone as well on my way up. He said he'd have the car ready for a test drive and even met outside to greet me upon my arrival. He was incredibly knowledgeable on the whole VW lineup, and jumped right in to show me a cool feature on the car I was driving that I knew nothing about. He could not have been a more genuinely nice person, and clearly had a real passion for his job. I knew the general price point I was looking at as well as the car I wanted to buy, which of course made the process pretty straight forward. Once we sat down, there was none of the BS that I've experienced at other dealerships, and the back and fourth with the sales manager was quick and easy. We made a deal I was really happy with, and drove back to pick up my car after detailing a few days later. I also received a courtesy call the next day from Ty to make sure everything was perfect. I drove from Brooklyn two solid hours to avoid dealing with another NY/NJ dealership, and I couldn't be happier with that decision. With few exceptions, I've found that buying a car outside of the immediate NYC area is a smart move, and I'd absolutely do it again and would 100% recommend Ty Curry and VW of Hartford for your next car purchase.

Just being a Shea tree mechanic I noticed more than their mechanics did with the computer and they're supposed diagnostic checks. I wouldn't use them again. Do not trust them at all.
