I'm not one for hand outs or looking for something for free,I purchased thes tires on 12/23/2019 I live 1.5 miles to work,I put 11.000 miles on these tires in 5years 3months when the wife and I go out we take her car because truck is too high. I noticed my tire was going flat when I went to add air,I noticed dry rot in the tread .when asked I have a 55.000 mile tire with 110000 miles driven they will not pro rate tires how ever the manger who ironically was sick friday and Saturday ,I left my truck there for 2 days they didn't even fix the flat and told me about the dry rot policy.any tire purchased after 12 31 2019,really,I purchased on time .not satisfied here you lost a good customer I recommend you support the smal business man right down the road,J&M tire they back their tires up if you bought them there, and they won't give you an attitude like this manager did on Sunday March 29th, Corporate greed at its finest and don't forget you need wipers in cabin air filter, air filter they make commission selling you things you don't even need. Firestone Complete Auto Care - The tire they don't make anymore,and I wonder why. - Tires Near Me - Southington, Connecticut

I recently had to bring my vehicle for emissions testing and learned that I could get it done at the Firestone in Southington. Not all Firestone locations offer emissions testing so this was a huge plus. I liked that I didn't need to make an appointment and they took walk-ins. When I arrived, there were parking spaces reserved for emissions testing. They weren't busy and the gentleman that helped me was very nice. I was there for no more than 15 minutes, and I went on with my day. Their waiting room was very nice, comfy seats, and was very clean. I liked how quick, easy, and convenient the process was. There had been occasions at other auto shops where I've waited a half hour or more. Will definitely return again when our next vehicle is up for emissions testing. read more

Went in for an oil/filter change and tire rotation before a long trip. Oil was changed but it was clear we were charged for a tire rotation that wasn't done. Returned today to get the tires rotated and rather than be apologetic for the inconvenience, the service manager was defensive and dismissive and was adamant tires were rotated and we were wrong despite us seeing a nicked tire/rim in the exact same place and confirming tread depth measurements were unchanged from the day before. Mistakes happen and it's understandable that occasionally things get missed, but the service agent we talked to was argumentative, dismissive and lacked customer interaction skills. It's unlikely we'll return despite being a nearby option for routine maintenance. Don't appreciate being talked down to when the garage made the mistake. Disappointing experience. read more

Got a flat tire on 84 west. Called at 4:30pm and asked if they could fit me in to put a new tire on. They said they were busy but if I could get the car to them they'd get me a new tire. When I arrived I was worried they would try to sell me on multiple tires or pressure me to get an expensive kind, but I got the exact opposite experience. They asked me what price point I was looking for and got me back on the road in 30 minutes. When things go wrong the last thing you need is a pushy salesman or an auto-body shop that wants to try to sell you on repairs or new equipment that you don't need. This Firestone location was honest and I would recommend it. read more

I purchased tires a yr ago. I had a sensor light come on about 10 days after. I was told I needed a new sensor 210.00. I went to garage they put air in the tire. Sensor went off. This went on for over 6 months as I did not want to spend money for a sensor when tire is losing air. I brought the car back to have tires rotated and tire checked. I was told they checked the tire and it was fine. I assumed they rotated the tires. Later I couldn't find the tire lock key. They finally told me the tech could not find key lock. Why I wasn't asked for key in the 1.5 hrs I sat in waiting rm is beyond me. Last week I brought car back and requested the valve stem be replaced. I told it was free. I was then told sensor was bad and valve stem and sensor are one piece. 200.00 later, and one week later sensor was on and tire was low by 20 lbs. I took the car to the garage and was told valve stem and sensor were never replaced. Firestone refuses to give me a new tire or money back. Run from this company!!! read more

Terrible service, wouldnt fix my tire cause they wanted to sell me a new one, put my spare on then didnt put the old one back in the jeep. Town Fair fixed the tire in 5 minutes! Then they told me there was nothing wrong with my A/C, even tho it wasnt blowing cold air, took it somewhere else and they figured out the problem!!! Thanks for nothing Firestone! I have been a loyal customer of the Southington, CT Firestone store for the past 15 years. After my recent experience I will not be returning and I will be strongly advising others to choose another service facility. I had my rear brakes replaced by Firestone and was given a cost breakdown of all of the parts and labor that would be required for the job. When I received my bill it was substantially higher then I was originally told. I was never informed that the cost was going to increase while I sat in the waiting room for hours. I had to return to Firestone because the new brakes were making a very loud grinding noise and it didn't sound like it was safe to continue driving. I took the car back and they took a few hours checking the brakes and they couldn't figure out what the issue was. They decided to put some grease on some of the brake hardware and amazingly the noise went away...for about a month. I called Firestone on 11/12/18 (Mon) to make an appointment to have my breaks checked again because they are still making a loud grinding noise and the break job is covered under Firestone's warranty. I made an appointment for 11/18/18 (sun) at 9am. Sunday morning comes and I'm the first one in the door. I had to have my wife and my three kids follow me there because the Firestone employee I spoke with when I made the appointment requested that leave the car so they have adequate time to properly fix the breaks as he knew I have been there a few times for this issue and it is still unresolved. I get up the desk to hand the service manager Dennis my keys, only to be rudely told that whoever I spoke with on 11/12/18 never entered my appointment into their system. He then told me that he has a lot of cars and that he most likely couldn't get to my car but he would try. I left my car in hopes that maybe a miracle would happen and Firestone would come through and take care of a good customer who did everything right on their end. But no, they didn't touch my car and the service manager had a very rude and unfriendly demeanor when I returned to pick up my car that sat in their parking lot for almost 8 hours untouched. I got the impression that the service manager either didn't believe that I had actually made an appointment prior or that he just didn't care. I returned to this location yesterday 12/2/18 in hopes of rectifying my break issue. I dealt with the service manager Dennis once again. And again I was talked down to, given an attitude and his excuse for his demeanor was that he was "short staffed". A technician looked at my brakes that they had previously installed and took my car for a test drive. The technician heard the loud grinding noise I brought the car in for. Dennis proceeded to tell me that he didn't know what the issue was as everything looked fine. I explained to him that there is clearly an issue and that the work is warrantied for 12k miles / 1 year as stated by Firestone warranty policy. Dennis reluctantly and rudely agreed to replace the brake drums. I explained to him this was fine as long as I were to receive the same brake drums that I had installed by Firestone originally. When I originally had Firestone do my brakes, I had them order brake drums that were rust resistant and I told Dennis this. Dennis assured me that I would get the same brake drums. Fast forward about an hour, Dennis calls me and says that the part number for the brake drums on my original receipt don't match the drums they originally put on my car?! I told him that I'm not sure how to explain that as Firestone ordered the brake drums, installed them and wrote up the receipt. I explained to Dennis that whatever the issue is as to why the part numbers don't match, that this isn't my fault or problem. Dennis refused to work with me, and was completely unprofessional in both of my experiences dealing with him. When I was in the waiting room, I spoke with multiple customers and they agreed that they have seen a fast decline in the service and professionalism in this particular location. I haven't had much work on my car done here, but the few oil changes and tire changes have been efficient and pleasant. I purchased snow tires here last year, and when it was time to have them removed and then put back on for winter this year, they were speedy, looked into a warning light for me, and most importantly did it for free. When I have gotten an oil change, they of course take a look at everything else and let you know what needs updating (like every mechanic does), but they don't give a hard sell or try to pressure you into getting anything. read more

I had set up an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation for 5pm. I got there on the day I had set the appointment and let them know that I have an appointment but will leave it while I go to grab some food with my wife. At 6:30pm I get a call on my cellphone that they did not get the truck in and would not be able to tonight as they close at 7pm. Not only did they not get to my truck they acted as if they were not concerned nor did they care. Poorly managed business with poorly trained employees when it comes to customer service. read more

I visited this location this past Sunday 11/2/18 to get my tires changed over. I was not satisfied with the customer service during my visit. The service manager named Dennis was not pleasant to deal with. He was very short when talking with me and he was basically arguing with me over the pricing which I found to be quite unprofessional. I also witnessed Dennis being rude to other customers while I was in the waiting room that day. I plan on taking my business elsewhere and I suggest others due the same to avoid the aggravation I was subjected to. read more

This is not a good place to go if you're a young lady and don't know much about cars. They will try to pressure you into selling you parts you don't need and saying they need more labor time than needed. I go in for just an oil change twice now and each time they pressure me into selling me 4 brand new tires when my car is a 2016 and has only 30000 miles on it the service guy told me I needed to park my car at home and not drive it until I bought new tires funny cause I was able to drive my car to Rhode Island and back that same day with no problems.... I agree with the fact that I probably do need new tires soon but it wasn't fair to pressure me into buying new ones that day before looking at prices or getting a second opinion instead he scared me and made me unaware of what I should do never going back to firestone goodbye! read more

Stopped in after work on Friday, labor day weekend. Thought my u-joints were bad and I needed to have it fixed ASAP to catch an am flight to Chicago. Technician Joseph was on his way home but agreed to out truck on the lift before leaving to check u-joints to see if they could fix by 9:00 am next day. After diagnosing, found u-joints were fine and noise coming from leaf springs. Not emergency. However, outer tie-rod was shot and needed immediate replacement. Joseph stayed and took care of the problem and the alignment was done. In and out in an hour. They went above and beyond and now I can safely make it to the airport in the morning. read more

Most of the time I have good service here. I got a good deal on my tires and I get them rotated as part of the service for the life of the tires. The last time I was in to have my tires checked because of leaking air, we found a nail in my tire. They said they weren't able to repair the tire and I needed to get a new set of tires because I have AWD. I took the car to my dealer for a second opinion and they looked at it and were able to repair the tire and saved me a bunch of money, especially considering I still had about 20,000 miles left on the tires. I'm sure Firestone has policies about where they can patch and repair tires for safety reasons but I'm also inclined to trust my car dealer too. So, overall, generally good service here but it's important to do your homework and check things out. read more

I recently had a nail in my tire. I took it to Firestone on Queen Street. The mechanic I spoke with was extremely polite and took my car right in to be fixed. However, he came out a short time later and told me that they would be unable to fix the tire because of where the nail was. He then informed me that I would need 4 new tires for my vehicle and he wrote up an estimate for over $900. They did not carry the tires needed and I took my vehicle to Tire Depot in Bristol! They were able to repair the tire at "no cost." I called Firestone to explain what had happened and they told me it was "Corporation Policy." I can't help feel that this was nothing but a scam. I can't thank the people at this Firestone service center enough. I was traveling on Interstate 84, when my oil light went on. I got off the highway, looking for a gas station with a repair shop. All the gas stations along the road did not have a repair station. I found an independent auto service place. The fellow there said that my oil was not low. I asked him for a quart of synthetic oil. He came back with a synthetic blend, and said that he had no synthetic oil. I refused the blend, knowing that my car takes pure synthetic oil. I called the Allstate Motor Club. They would tow me, but would not bring me any oil. But they told me about the Firestone service center down the road. It was 15 minutes before closing time, and the people there took me in, no problem. They put in a quart of synthetic oil. The oil light stayed on. The manager Steve told me that the oil light in Subarus go on when you are down a quart of oil, and that the light should go off as the oil goes through the system. He never charged me anything, and he was right about the light going off, which it did, 30 seconds after leaving Firestone. Thanks everyone there! read more
