Definitely was not listening to anything that I was saying basically told me not to repeat myself because I already said that would absolutely not bring my car here. I was doing a favor for my daughter and the lady was just like very rude about offered me the not want to hear about the mid price then she thinks I don't know anything about tires. I have usually done my mandated emissions check at a different place but their internet was down and they suggested Goodyear down the street. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency and ease with which they took in my car keys, my $20 and very shortly afterwards, called my name and presto, finished and submitted to the state. Terry, the sales manager was friendly, and Brian, service manager, even more personable. After getting a flat, we took our vehicle in to this store for new tires. After it was in the shop for a few hours, someone called from the store and said "we think one of the wheel studs is going to break when we take it off." (This sounded a little odd -- I strongly suspect it was already broken). He said they could repair it now, but that it would be $300. (Research online and a discussion with our mechanic revealed that this was grossly overpriced). After the stud inevitably broke, I told him to just change the tire, put the wheel back on with the four remaining good studs, and we would address the broken one at a later time. The very next day, the tire that we originally went in to fix was flat again. My wife called to see if they could help us out and repair it, but the answer she got was essentially..."tough luck, you didn't buy our protection plan." At that point, we had spent over $700 on new tires and we were right back where we started with the same flat we came in with. We then did what we should have done in the first place, and took it to our mechanic. He found all sorts of evidence of shoddy workmanship, including cross-threaded and not-fully-screwed-in nuts. After correcting the shoddy work done at Goodyear, and repairing our control arms, we were finally about $2000 deep into our flat tire -- but at least our car had finally been repaired by a trustworthy and honest mechanic. This was such a blatant display of sloppy, careless workmanship and shamefully poor customer service from Goodyear that we will never consider returning to one of your stores in the future, and are enthusiastically spreading the word to friends and family about this incident. PS: Goodyear asked us to fill out a survey about our experience, and we shared the information above with them. They promised to have someone reach out to us to discuss, and no one ever did. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change- online scheduling was very easy but when I got there, despite my having a confirmation email, my appointment wasn't logged on their computer. The young man at the desk, Tim made it seem like it wasn't a big deal until 50 minutes later my car is in the same spot I left it in. When I questioned Tim about it, that was when he decided to inform me that there were only two techs working that day. Why not give me the courtesy of telling me that when I first got there, I don't know but after he made no effort to assure me that my car was at least next, I figured almost an an hour is enough of a waste of time. read more

I purchased a 2/3 year alignment package. One year later I went to this location be cause they had available, and was asked to produce my recite for a warranty I purchased a YEAR ago. And they wonder why Black People have to make scenes!!!! Anyways I found the recite, and asked them to make a note so I didn't have to go out of my way to show Proof. I've been here a few times over the past few years unfortunately (for my cars' tires). Mostly for New tires, flat tires. They always have the best or comparable prices in the area, and I've had really good experiences with their customer service. I've walked in and been able to get my tires fixed very quickly. I love that they appreciate loyalty- I brought my friend's car there for a flat and they saw that I had been there a few times and didn't charge anything. I came in with a flat tire, in need of a new one. They didn't have the needed tire in stock, but were able to get one within a couple of hours. They put it on the car quickly, and charged me what I expected. When the mechanic asked if I wanted to replace the two front tires, rather than just the busted one, I said no. He said, "Okay, no problem. Just FYI sometimes a car will pull slightly to one side if you're driving with one new and one worn tire." I really appreciated that he didn't try to convince me to buy it, and I didn't feel like I had to argue about it and explain myself. This was obviously a straightforward visit-- need a new tire, get a new tire. But it was a pleasant, seamless visit and I will be returning next time I need auto help. read more

Complete rip offs. I've taken my car there a few times and it's always something else they want to fix. I always say no until I get a second opinion. This time they charged me for an oil change and did not do anything else -- no tire rotation, filling of fluids, wiper check, etc. they tried to upsell me again tho. Came out with a bogus list of things wrong. Two tires I didn't need because they claimed one was unfixable due to a nail. I had it looked at and fixed by another reputable tire center, a $450+ quote for brakes that turned out to be fine. Again had it looked at by a shop specializing in brakes. I had to call several times to get my emailed receipt. They are rude and lack customer service. Lost two good customers. Never will I go back! Crooks. Calling their corporate office! read more

First time customer - Went there for getting my tires checked for one of them needed filling twice in last month. Since the tyre service was free, I decided to get the oil change done so I give them some business. Ended up in $135 more (total $185)for the tyre sensor that they could not get out from the leaking valve. The guy tried to sell me brake pads, rotors and service for $950 - said he can take off $50 if I did it right away. Beware, get a second opinion, don't get any other services done. I was driving my (just purchased) used Prius from mass. to nyc on a sunday to see my mother who is very ill in the hospital, when multiple warning light on the dashboard lit up. I made it to goodyear but unfortunately there was no mechanic available on sunday. Manny was compassionate, and helped me find nearest available mechanic, chatted with me, let me charge my phone, and was genuinely caring despite the fact that he wasnt charging me sny money. I've used this location for oil changes and maintenance for both company and personal vehicles. The front end of the store underwent a major renovation less than a year ago, there's a very comfy waiting area and clean, spacious bathrooms. I've never had a problem with them as far as quality of work or costs. For a chain, they do as best as they can on pricing for you. All the technicians are super nice and have a good sense of humor. A bonus is that you can grab a meal at the Puket Cafe while you wait for your car work to be finished (trust me, I've had lunch this way a boat load of times over the past several years). read more

I had gotten a flat & was up the creek without a paddle. By the time AAA picked me up I had already spoken with FS in Middletown. They had a tire & were waiting for me. The tow driver suggested I go to Cromwell because it's was closer. I explained that Mtown FS had a tire for me. He said he'd check with the manager to make sure he had the same size tire. He gor6off the phone And said good news they have your size ! The driver was very smart because he wouldn't take the car off until they had a tire. The manager walked to the back & returned with great news ! He had 1 left ! After waiting 20 -30 min I peaked in to see if my car has been finished. Nope, in fact the tire, the bad one was still on the car ! Long story short. After 2 hour's I am still here waiting for a tire ! His excuse was he had mistakenly read the tire wrong ! Twice I guess. I think the tire was more than I had hoped to pay but it has been some years since I had to purchase and I did not do the research other than price other tire shops. I would not use them again. They try to upsell you on everything, always find something "wrong" with your car when it's on the lift, and then come out and try to get you to do it now, and everything is a la cart. They quote you a price for the tires, but everything else is extra, like the valves. They asked me if I would like to have a tail light bulb replaced, but then charged me twice as much as the bulb to "install" it. I could have stuck it in the socket myself for free. To be fair, when I complained about that, they refunded the labor charge, but they tried to get away with it, and that makes me feel like they tried to cheat me. I go to family businesses now like Lamores and skip the chains. And I get the same or better pricing and much better service. It's faster here, but you pay the price for speed. Advice....read your bill carefully and ask about other charges before you agree to anything, and get it in writing to be sure. read more

My dealing with the place will stop with all Goodyear stores, especially after the last incident I had with the store . They lost me as a customer and I will close my credit car with Goodyear as well. But why? This was during winter 2016 it was cold out. I brought one of my vehicles (used pickup truck) in for a synthetic oil change and filter service . I was going on a trip outside the state so I called the store scheduled an appointment, came in the next day Dropped the vehicle off and told them I will be back to pick it up in few hours. Shortly after I received a phone call and one of the front desk personal told me there was a front wheel hub assemble play and will need to be replaced. When I came back to the store they still had my truck On the lift as he was waiting for me to say yea go ahead and replace it so I can get charged . I told them that's okay I will Check it out my self. I felt like nothing was wrong with the problem they referring to because I been driving the truck and didn't notice anything and I took the truck on a trip after that and no issues. I been driving the truck for over 8 months now ( city and highway ) and guess what there is nothing wrong with it. I think they just wanted to sell me Something that I didn't need . So back to my oil change. The truck had its oil change or did it? I paid and took the vehicle home drove for about 2200 miles (oil change still had 1200 left according to the sticker they put on the windshield ) . So now that the weather is nice I decided to change the oil because it's been over 6 months. When I open the drain plug to drain the old oil . I was shocked to see and didn't believe that what suppose to be old oil coming out it was sludge and it felt like the engine was throwing up trying to spit this sludge out. Oil was so dirty. I did so many oil changes in my personal cars and family cars and never did I come across the oil change that bad. My believe is they put old recycle dirty bottom of the barrel oil in the engine . They did hanger the filter I know that for fact because the filter was napa filter and I know for a fact I had frame filter in there prior to them touching the truck. But I am not sure what hey put inside the engine what suppose to be oil it was definitely not. I believe the place it trying to mess up the vehicles. I share this story with who ever I can and people need to be aware and check their vehicles before and after they bring it to this store. Be aware and check your stuff. read more

Upsell at it's worst. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed brakes. When I told them the brakes were only two months old Jeff said whoever did them didn't do them right. Took my car back to where I had the brakes done for inspection and told they were fine. Also quoted me $85 to replace a taillight bulb. Picked one up at Walmart for $4.50 and replaced it in about 3 minutes. read more
