If you love bagels, you need to try Southland Bagel. Southland has been my go to bagel place for years, and it only gets better! Beautiful storefront, super friendly staff and DELICIOUS BAGELS!! Must try!!

Super cute store, I've only had their bagels at the farmer's market and I wish I'd been here sooner! Super nice and helpful people, they were training a new person, which was also great for me to hear the explanations about different options. The menu is pretty basic but very well done: bagles, bagel sandwiches, some other food items, drinks. Couldn't decide between the Hulk Smash and the Migos, so I'll be back for the Migos next time. Also want to check out their coffee, the Samsise Gamgee sounds yummy!

The Lux with scallion cream cheese. I added greens and spicy pickles as well! Also on the right is their honey latte iced with oat milk!

Southland bagels was one of the first spots I tried out when I first visited Lexington and it's a fan favorite! The service is always friendly and fast. Their menu is full of great bagel sandwiches but even if you're not in the mood for a bagel sandwich their bagels taste great on their own with any of their cream cheese flavors they make in house! The ambiance is fun and has some great nods to science fiction and comic books on their walls! Overall, a great bagel spot!

Bagels were excellent, soft and crusty. I ordered my everything bagel toasted with butter and it was the best bagel I've had in a while. My husband and girls all opted for breakfast sandwiches. They were very good, almost overstuffed, which most people love. The place is small but cozy. It's in a strip mall.

OK, I've been coming here for a while now. It's nice to be able to get a delicious bagel sandwich and a very good cup of coffee for the same, or lower price of just a cup of coffee at the big name store. The service is great. Even though it looks like they get crazy busy on the weekends, everyone is friendly, and service is quick.. And, I'm supporting a locally owned business.

Egg, sausage, and cheese bagel with a Turtle Iced Latte.

The restaurant is a little small with counter service only. The bagel with sausage, egg and cream cheese was delicious. The Turtle latte hit the spot. Nice local business with great food.

The food was good but when we got home we realized that our burgers were missing half the ingredients. We got the hangover but it was missing the egg, ham, and bacon. Super disappointed.

Quaint little spot with friendly service and even better food. I went in around 9 am and could already tell this place was going to be good based on the smells alone. I ordered a bacon, egg & DILL PICKLE cream cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. I'm not complaining and will def be back. Rad chill music was a plus

I would argue that this is one of the better bagel places here in Lexington. The bagels are great and consistent-- they don't skimp on the cream cheese. Not to mention they have one of my boyfriends favorites, goetta and my fav combo, cream cheese and egg. I prefer my eggs fried over how they scramble it but overall great bagels here!

Well, apparently I beat the breakfast rush because by 8:30, people were steadily pouring in! Families coming in for breakfast, customers grabbing takeout orders, and others settling in to eat. Mind you, it was only 8:30 on a SATURDAY morning and they just opened! The place is giving industrial-chic breakfast spot with a little urban character! I especially liked the hanging Edison-style lights, exposed brick, high ceilings, and the colorful skyline mural above the door. There's a nice mix of booths, smaller tables, and larger communal seating, plus garage-style glass doors that open onto an outdoor patio. They were closed during my visit since it was a chilly morning, but I imagine it's a great setup when the weather cooperates. Ordering is done at the counter, where you're given a number to take to your table, and your food is brought out once it's freshly prepared. I was impressed with how efficiently everything ran. Even with a steady flow of customers, the line moved incredibly quickly, orders were coming out promptly, and everything seemed very organized. I went with the Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich, choosing a medium-fried egg, cheddar cheese, and smoked paprika aioli on a brioche bun, along with some hot tea. My sandwich arrived in about five minutes, piping hot, with perfectly melty cheese and a soft, delicious brioche bun. Simple, fresh, and exactly what I wanted for breakfast! They also have several other breakfast options, and can we talk about that bakery display for a second?! Fresh baked bread, Cinnamon rolls, caramel pecan pastries, croissants, and other sweet treats that looked absolutely delicious. Definitely tempting, especially when you're standing right there trying to place your order! Between the food, the atmosphere, and how smoothly everything ran despite the morning rush, DV8 Kitchen made a great first impression. A cute little breakfast find in Lexington, and I'd happily stop in again!

We were greeted and seated promptly inside. Our hostess and server were both friendly and engaged. They have outdoor seating, as well, but it was way too hot for that. We got water and menus right away. They serve Breakfast/Brunch from open to close (9 am to 3 pm, dinner hours Fri, Sat) as well as lunch items and the menu looks good all around. My wife got the Fried Green Tomato BLT. I got Brunch on a Bun (fried egg, a large sausage patty, pepperjack cheese, bacon jam, on a toasted pretzel bun). Both came with Tots that were crispy and hot. She said the BLT was great and it was large and a lot of food. My sandwich was hot and delicious, but really messy to eat with hands. Might be best as a knife & fork dish. Either way, it was a lot of food and I took home part of it for later. Both dishes were $17 and worth it. We look forward to going back as this experience was flawless.

We loved this adorable little biscuit breakfast spot!! :)…read more We spent a weekend away in Nashville but came back through Lexington to visit a couple of distilleries as we made our way back North. Nashville really turned us on to the biscuit breakfast so when we saw that Lexington had some choices we knew we had to try! We stopped into Biscuit Belly on a recent Wednesday morning on our way out of town and were greeted with the nicest staff, waiting to take our order. We had a few questions and the man at the register was super knowledgeable and extra kind!! When we stop into a new place, my husband and I enjoy ordering a couple of different options and sharing so we can both try more things in one visit! :) The biscuit belly choices made this difficult, so many items look amazing!! My husband ordered the Mama's boy and I ordered the Fire in your Belly! Both of the sandwiches were delicious! The Mama's boy had the most tasty jalapeño pimento cheese and the perfect accompaniment, a fried green tomato on top!! This was a great combo! The Fire in your belly felt like a more simple sandwich, with less on it, but the flavors went so well together, it ended up being our favorite!! The cheddar cheese really brought everything together so nicely!! Both also came with delicious pickles which doesn't sound like it fits into a breakfast entree, but it truly did!!! :) We enjoyed both the loaded tots and cheesy grits on the side! If you get a chance to stop into a Biscuit Belly sometime, I would definitely make your move!! ;) We don't have places like this up North and that's a sad, sad thing!!

On a Sunday night, there was a wait, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. The bartenders were great--I wish I remembered their names! They made some excellent food and drink recommendations and were very attentive. We started with a Caesar salad to share, which isn't pictured, and then ordered two pasta dishes that we absolutely devoured. Everything was delicious! The following day, we discovered that many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so we ended up at Carson's again. This time, we decided to check out the back porch. We were expecting a similar menu, but the back porch seemed to focus more on meat and fish options, while we were looking for sandwiches. So, we relocated to the main dining area at Carson's without a reservation. Thankfully, the hostess was able to seat us but let us know that we would need to be finished dining by 7 p.m., which wasn't a problem for us. Our server was great, and we started with the goat cheese appetizer, which was absolutely incredible! Unfortunately, my Buffalo chicken sandwich was drenched in Buffalo sauce to the point that I couldn't really enjoy it. My spouse and I also decided to share sides of the mac and cheese and smoked Gouda broccoli. I was pretty disappointed with both because they were heavily covered in truffle, which I personally don't like. Because of that, I wasn't able to enjoy my second meal here as much as I had hoped. Nonetheless, I would still recommend checking out Carson's. There are plenty of menu options, and our first experience was fantastic. Based on my two visits, though, I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine here!
