Food is very good. Other than not offering any pintos or great northern beans, I have no complaints. Wait staff is personable and attentive. BIG complaint, if you pay in cash they STEAL all your change, whether it's a nickel or 97 cents! This has happened 4-5 times by different staff. STEALING is stealing. We were seated immediately unfortunately under a crazy fast fan.....I mean crazy..not sure what they were trying to do to patrons who sit there. Ordered a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and husband got country fried steak. Food was okay, not great. Not sure who our server was because a different person sat us down, different person took our order. Different person dropped food off, different person filled our coffee. I didn't understand that. I ate here when I first moved to this side of the state. Imagine my surprise when, instead of bringing out the "standard bread basket", I was given a huge piece of cornbread that was the best I had ever tasted! The staff was very nice and accommodating and even gave me extra cornbread to take home to my husband. It has been one of our go-to breakfast spots and there is not a single bad thing on the menu that I have found yet. This place always has a good crowd and I totally understand why! The food is homemade, the staff is super nice, and the restaurant is always clean. Looking for a good breakfast place on the way to the shooting range and stopped here. Met with great hospitality seated immediately and service was superb. Coffee was hot and no bitterness. Went to Southern Table on Sunday, August 14th after church for breakfast. We go there pretty often and always have good service. However, this Sunday was not good. We were seated and then just ignored. It was not real busy so there was no reason for this. The owner and waitress were very rude and served everyone around us including those who came in after us. We just waited patiently until they came to take our orders. After receiving our food, We were not checked on so no coffee refills or asked if we needed anything else. When we asked the owner for our check, she sent another person to give us our checks. There was no reason for this kind of treatment and if they were having a bad day there was no reason to take it out on us!! I had the fried green tomatoes (the best ones I have ever had) and for the main course turkey & dressing. The fried green tomatoes are served with a chili sauce and ranch dressing, when you top the tomato with both it marries well. The turkey & dressing was served hot and fresh, full of flavor and you can taste the home-cooking touch in every bite. It has been over a year since I have eaten here and it only got better. Won't go back but it has nothing to do with the food; it was quite good. My problem was with the server. While I doubt, legally, I can tell you her name, it begins with an "A". We had never been there before and drove from St. Augustine. My husband uses a wheelchair. I didn't see a handicapped parking spot so I walked in to ask how I can get him into the restaurant. "A" said - and I quote - "I just work here!!" So I had to drag his chair across their gravel parking lot onto the city sidewalk and up the path to get him in. After sitting there for 10 minutes or so I saw the handicapped space. I got up and moved my car. Never did "A" - or anyone else - offer me this information. I smiled during our meal so that no one spit on it in the kitchen, but I would never go back. When you have a handicapped spouse/sibling/parent/partner, you need all the help you can get. No one there helped me at all!! Very sad - and for that I drove 45 minutes! Never again. read more

The place had plenty of seating when we arrived as there was only one other couple seated. We did not approve of the corner she "insisted" on putting us so we requested to sit elsewhere. She never stopped complaining to us about how she "expected" a busy lunch crowd & needing time space seating. A small crowd did arrive during our meal but there was no spacing out. Therefore it wasn't necessary to complain to us upon our arrival if spaced seating was not practiced. My first dish came out tasting absolutely horrible bc they use very cheap ingredients for instance "liquid eggs that have been pasteurized, homogenized and packed in a juice box and store bought lunch meat. Sent that plate back. Ordered another sandwich without the nasty liquid eggs. It was the same quality of horribleness. Watched many other dishes come out and if you are looking for a heart attack or diabetes this is the place. This place hit my list of drive by & forget. I am sure the expected locals life span is around 65, so if you like retirement, choose another place locally or drive to Ormond Beach. I absolutely loved the feel and southern style they have going on! The food was so yummy and the chairs were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and stocked VERY well! Also the actual dining room was cleaned up well. The only downside- If it wasn't for this I'd give a 5 star! - The waitresses seemed kinda cold, like they didn't really care about the customers! Yes they were nice and very quick but the never came and checked up on us , I had to stop them to get some condiments. Went there for lunch today. Not complying with CDC regulations. Tables were less than 4 feet from each other. Asked to move to the other side of the restaurant where there were plenty of tables. Have eaten here several times - it's not the best but not the worst... and there are limited options in Bunnell. Never has it been so bad that I felt the need to leave a review until today. Placed and order over the phone for pick up. Since this was over the phone, I was basing my order off of their menu from their website. When my friend picked up the order and brought it, we discovered that it was inaccurate and most importantly I was overcharged. As you can see in the pictures from my receipt compared to their own website pricing - eggs and a side with toast were $4.50 but I was charged almost double at $7.50. Was also charged a dollar more for my omelette. Immediately called to address the issue - was first told they did NOT mess my order up and then got hung up on. Called back and spoke to the manager, Jeanette who was incredibly rude and simply ignorant to how to handle customer service issues. First she claimed sausage was more and I should read the fine print (maybe this is on their menu's INSIDE the place but I didn't go inside). When I mentioned the omelette overcharging when nothing was added to it and that the website listed a different price she just laughed and said "Well that's two years old!". Um, hello - how are your customers supposed to know this?! Seems like it would be common sense to update your menu across the board. Never mind that you can't as a manager recognize your own ignorance or error but to be rude and make the customer feel like it was their own fault is unacceptable. My review has to do with current health concerns rather than food. We stopped to eat breakfast yesterday because the food IS good, but we left before getting a table. The hostess was walking all around the room, then came to greet us with NO MASK. Not even a pretense - speaking loudly, laughing, leaning in close to people. In better times, I'm sure she's a terrific lady, but during COVID - no thank you. We left before she seated us. I'm disappointed that this fine restaurant doesn't enforce mask-wearing for their servers. That probably means cooks aren't wearing them, either. read more

Both times were great experiences with a friendly, fun staff who took good care of us. They have a huge menu, so it may take a while to decide what you want. This is not a fast food restaurant. Everything is cooked to order, so it may take a little while to get your freshly prepared meal, but it is well worth the wait. The guy tells me we are not taking to go orders. I asked him, don't y'all close at 2PM today? He said yes. So, I can order and sit there....
