This is the most incredible drink I've ever experienced
    Julie C.

My 6th time coming to SCK and doenst disappoint!! We ordered the flatbread with shrimp & grits and gurrrrllllll it was insane!!!! We had this strawberry martini that I cannot describe the freshness of the strawberries and the perfect blend!!! Just incredible- the appetizers were fried pickles- INCREDIBLE and the Cajun perogies. Holy smokes!!! What a meal!!!

The food was basic and very underwhelming. As someone who doesn't love to cook, I cook have easily made all the dishes we had and they'd taste exactly like what we got. Just nothing special. We started with the 1/2 Pound Peel and Eat Shrimp. They were overcooked and kind of mealy. The tartar sauce that came with it was no good! Actually pretty bad. It tasted like a side of mayo. For entrees we ordered the Chicken 'N Waffles and the Half Slow Roasted Chicken. The chicken and waffles were pretty good. No complaints there. The waffle was especially good. My husband ordered the chicken. It looked good except for those collard greens. Heck no! LOL! They looked like someone went out back, pulled some greenery from the yard and threw them on the plate. I don't know what kind of collards those were supposed to be but I've never seen greens at a soul food restaurant looking like that. They'd be better off buying canned greens and serving those. The chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy were good but that chicken was dry. If it weren't for the plentiful amount of gravy that chicken would be a choking hazard. We also ordered the Jalapeño Cornbread to go with our entrees. That was a no. So dry we don't even bother eating it. It's really interesting because the website and menu give off elevated dining vibes and it is far from that. It doesn't need to be fine dining but it should be shown for what it is, which is casual dining. For example, stamping the name of the owner's website on the wine glasses you'd never seen in a finer dining restaurant but would see in a pub, bar type of place. Just mixed messaging. The service was good and all of the wait staff were nice and attentive.

I've been to SCK a few times. The service is always good and food is superb. I always try something new each visit. The waiter suggested the popular breakfast quesadilla which was different for me. There was enough protein to keep you full and the breakfast potatoes were delicious. Wings were a good size and were fried enough for me! The cheesesteak egg rolls are definitely homemade and tasted great! Clean restrooms as well. Can't wait until my next visit.

Jambalaya, fried pickles, biscuit, shrimp and grits

I wanted to try this place for a long time because it gets recommended a lot in various community groups. Reviewers typically highlight the friendly service here, but that was not my experience. The service was lukewarm. The staff saw me walk in and chose to keep doing their own thing instead of greeting me. After standing there awkwardly for a few moments, someone said they would be right with me. When they came to hostess stand, I told them I wanted a seat for two and they said, "hold on" and ran off again. For context, the restaurant was not busy. From the beginning I felt like my presence was a nuisance to them. Food service was good. Someone took our orders, checked in on us, and the food came quickly. We ordered the lemonade mocktails. They were way too sweet. After adding half a glass of water, it was palatable. For food, we tried the fried pickles, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, and a side of biscuit. The fried pickles were pretty good. They are fried pickle chips. I was expecting fried pickle wedges. The jambalaya was a miss. It looked more like a salad than a stew. One dimensional flavor and not at all close to what I've tasted in the south. I enjoyed the Shrimp and grits, it is something I would order again. Biscuit was average, nothing memorable. If anything, it was on the dry side. The portions were huge! Neither of us finished our entree. If you're looking for value, this is a good spot. You will not leave hungry. My star rating is for food only. I normally don't care about service because my priority is food quality. I only felt the need to comment on it because so many people recommended this spot for their friendly service.

I've eaten a Southern Cross quite a few times and enjoyed everything I've tried on the menu. The service is always excellent. I recently had my bridal shower there and the staff were absolutely amazing. They were proactive in anticipating the needs of the party, and worked quickly and efficiently. I could not recommend them enough. The restaurant and event space are also so pretty! I will be back to eat again.

Bananas foster French toast (has nut topping)

We had the mimosa flight. We chose 3 flavors and they were gracious enough to add a 4th for a nominal fee. I prefer my mimosas to be on the sweeter side and again service was top tier and the server provided us with small side glasses of each juice for the flights. For appetizers we had the cinnamon beignets, breakfast potato's and the jalapeño cornbread. The beignets came perfectly flaky, warm and melt in your mouth. The plate included dark chocolate sauce and whipped cream as well as diced strawberry and sliced apples and oranges. Sooooo yummy! The jalapeño cornbread was dry and hard. Throw that away and never let it see the light of day again. Pure grit! Yuck! I expected warm and moist. It's a southern comfort food. So disappointing. The breakfast potatoes we asked for well done and they delivered! They were well seasoned and so delicious! We also had the deviled eggs which features 3 regular deviled eggs and 3 seasonal deviled eggs. The regular were hustled okra. The filling wasn't well seasoned. The seasonal was much better and the basalmic drizzle was a nice touch! Our main item was the bananas foster French toast. Perfectly done! Our server was attentive and kind. I would come back just because of her. She checked in regularly without being overbearing. We love love loved that this place offers all day brunch AND multiple happy hour options throughout the day. We will be returning to try more things.

We stopped by here after work to grab brunch before the holiday break. Food was great, service was quick and the place was clean.

Get the relax beer. And the jambalaya, OMG.

Kevin, our host - great. Danielle, our waitress, great. The food - cheesesteak rolls, jambalaya, chicken sandwich, shrimp tacos, and the brisket - were ....to die for. The food - great. A lil commentary, the new schoole Yelpers are savages and should not be sharing there opinions, SC is what a good restaurant is. A friendly business with good cooks. Just go eat some good food. Go now!

For starters, one of the funniest things I think I've ever said while having a meal was with a friend when I stated "omg everything I am eating and drinking. Today is tickling my palette!" and this is a perfect way to describe my experience today at the rabbit hole. For starters, the environment is incredible. I feel like I literally stepped into a super fancy Alice in Wonderland film! The decor is gorgeous, from the deep purple velvet barstools, to the dark green textured wallpaper and the royal rabbit artwork on the walls, it's so fabulously done I had to take a video and send it to my daughter! Then there's the drink menu, I cannot describe how clever these drink combinations are. We tried the mad queens elixir and the queens garden and they had the most delicious and unique flavor combinations. You just have to try them! The Food selections, and as our waiter informed us, they change regularly. They are unique and delicious and served homemade to our table. We had a very short wait time for me to order food, and it arrived at the table in large portions and we couldn't even finish everything we were so full!! We tried the sampler of dips and breads and a spicy flatbread.... But just looking over the menu there were so many different things to try. We have to come back for the next trip sooner than later. Our final event to report for the night was as we were getting ready to pay the check. A fabulous woman came up to our table and asked if we would like to stay for the trivia night. We were pleasantly surprised, and the event is on Wednesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM the place, filled up very quickly in anticipation of this event. And the crowd was fun and vibrant as was the woman who officiated. The game itself was so much fun, and it really did put the cherry on the Sunday for our entire experience! Our waiter was wonderful, offering us recommendations and gave us amazing service. And the last thing we heard from was the woman who was announcing the trivia game telling us she would love for us to come back that we were so much fun. That little extra special kind word really just made this such a great culinary experience and overall great memory. I highly highly suggest if you live in this area, this should be your local go to. And if you're a visitor that's coming in for a short day, this place is definitely worth coming in and patroning! 5 stars Rabbit Hole!!

I've never heard of this place which is surprising because as I said it's right up my alley. It's not on the Main Street and instead nestled in the neighborhood a few blocks away which might explain why. The cocktails are non-traditional and certainly interesting, but I quite enjoyed them. For those who want to be less adventurous, they have a big wine list. The food was very good, albeit a bit pricey for what we got. My fiancé and I shared the tomato soup and grilled cheese for an appetizer and I gotta say that was probably the best part of the meal. My pizza and my fiancé's French dip sandwich were good but nothing to write home about. Our waitress was great! Very attentive and nice, always asking if we needed anything. Overall I will definitely be back here at some point. The only thing I gotta ding the place for is the prices. It's a little bit too steep. Our check for what we got should have been like $30-$40 less. But, then again it is Conshohocken and that's somewhat normal.

But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.

We had a lot of salmon orders at the table, too, and every plate was empty before the dessert menus came around -- I didn't try the crème brûlée or bread pudding, but they both looked like a nice end to a great meal.
