Most places offer 60 and 90 minute sessions (501 also has these options, but I love the shorter ones). I put in my notes when I booked online that it was my first massage and I was nervous it would be painful. When I arrived, the front desk attendant was very kind and took me upstairs to the spa. (Note - not sure how accessible this place is - I did not notice an elevator). My masseuse was Ashley, and she was incredible. She walked me through the process knowing I was apprehensive, explained any add ons, and made me feel at ease. She is so good at what she does, and I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

However, the results were consistently not what I requested. I brought in an inspiration photo and clearly stated multiple times that I did not want any red tones. The result was noticeably red/orange and looked nothing like the photo. I called the salon, and they were courteous and offered to correct it. The manager was helpful and encouraged me to return to the same stylist so she could learn from the situation. Although I was uncomfortable with that, I agreed as long as there was guidance. At the redo appointment, I again showed the inspiration photo and reiterated my concerns. Unfortunately, I left with hair that was pinkish/reddish/yellow and extremely dry -- again, not aligned with what I requested. The manager did ask if I was happy with it, but with the stylist present, I felt uncomfortable speaking up and said very little. The situation felt awkward and difficult to address in the moment. While the redo was comped, I was charged approximately $150 for a root retouch. Within just a few days, my silver growth was already visible. At this point, I am over $500 into the experience and have left each appointment feeling embarrassed rather than confident. I've decided to move on and find another salon, but I was truly disappointed by how far the final results were from what was clearly communicated.

I booked with the stylist online, realized I couldn't make that time, called the receptionist and was able to schedule me with the same level stylist as previously, that would fit my availability and timeline. Luckily, I got Shelby (shoutout!) who was conveniently from the same small area I was and we had mutual friends. The time passed so quickly as we never ran out of things to talk about. I'm in love with my haircut and tips she'd given about some questions I had to improve the overall health of my hair. I'll absolutely be returning to this salon! Also -- it's absolutely beautiful! Rachel was my hair artist, but the whole team jumped in and helped with the color, washing my hair, etc. They took their time and talk to me on what I wanted done. Very patient and felt very comfortable. I appreciated the salon offering me a drink (tea, water, coffee, etc). I also got to meet the owner Tina Marie who was humble and down to earth. My visit was getting OMBRE BALAYAGE (color) and a haircut. Oh wow! What a great experience! I loved how my color and cut turned out! The warm tones complimented my skin tone. The cut was very chic! I purchased one of their oil products for my hair that they highly recommended. I was very satisfied that I already booked my next color appointment. FYI, they have a parking garage next to their salon which can be validated for $5.00 when you bring your ticket in. I am definitely telling my friends about this place. When I walked in I did not wait at all she took me straight away. My stylist did an amazing job and really listened to everything I wanted done. She asked my opinion frequently for length to make sure she got it exactly how I wanted it. My stylist was very friendly and polite and even styled it perfectly at the end. Well I have went to Michaels and had a stylist straighten my hair two times with success. I was…read morevery happy. Well the girl I had for the straighteners was no longer at the salon. I had another more experienced stylist for the straightening. It was confusing from the get go. They were talking about not having the instructions for the product they were gonna use. Anyway I have never been in such an awful situation at any salon. The stylist insisted that she had the right product. I knew it was not what was used. To make a long story short. When the stylist went to dry my hair , I was turned around so I was unable to see the back. Here I spent 90.00 including tip to get home and after waiting 3 days I washed my hair and it has all the strong waves , it did not take at all. She had only let the solution on 3 min after applying it. I was very upset cuz you can't just get it done again and my hair looked awful and I had to save to pay for that. She was way more expensive than the other stylist since she was there 6 years. Her cut seemed good. I had went to Beauty School years ago in Miami Florida so I know the process was wrong and I tried to tell Michael this solution needs to stay in my hair way longer to straighten it. He tried to tell her to leave it on longer when the Blonde stylist in the far right corner yelled just leave it on overriding Michael. Her chair is back in the far right . After she yelled that out she was talking softly to her client and she and the client laughed together! What an awful experience it all was. I ended up calling Michael 4 days after i washed and saw my hair all with my deep waves in the back still that I cannot control in the Summer at all. He said he could give a conditioner since it was very damaged. I told him I have a great conditioner at home. So I hung up and tried to call back my stylist hoping I could get some money back since my hair was not straightened at all. Here Mike answered and I told him who I was and I wanted to take to my stylist . He ended up extremely angry and just said I offered you a condition treatment so I just hung up. If I ever in any profession, as in a stylist , I would have offered a little money back. 30 .00 or so and I would have felt respected and understood tgat my hair was gonna even be harder to work with . So I'm sad I really liked Michael and was so thankful for their pricing and he was always gracious. So I'm sorry to have written this review but you have to know what you are doing when giving this type of service.
