The soup was the only good thing for me. The food was not good at all and the service was worse!

They have an awesome mural in the dining area and had several floors for 300 + people to utilize. The breakfast buffet consist of Irish breakfast and some additional continental options and it was superb. Overall the place had a really interesting live and felt pretty homie. It was about a 15-20 walk from the city center where all of the action was so it was close enough but also far away enough from all the craziness in sounds at night. There were also a couple shops in the area which was nice in case you wanted to eat elsewhere. My biggest gripe was that I personally didn't like staying at hostels, which doesn't really have anything to do with this place as it was a decision for the entire company to stay here. I personally like having my own space and the experience of sharing it with others was quite interesting. Luckily this hostile would be what I consider to be a fancier also because all the rooms had their own towels and their own bathrooms... Which I'm not sure is common or not but it's always nice to have your own bathroom as compared to point to a public shared bathroom. The other issue I did have and again I'm not sure if this is something common, the lack of AC during the summer. The rooms basically become the heat box and is unbearable to sleep in. Luckily we were able to ask for a fan and got the last one for a room. Do to some logistics we were house in a room on the fourth floor on the first day and then relocated to our permanent stay for the rest of our trip which was the ground floor. However it was right next to an outdoor seating area and you can't stop people from going there to chat at night because it's obviously a public area. So when you combine a chatty group of people plus an open window due to the heat and someone who's an extremely light sleeper... It all becomes a an unpleasant situation. As I've said I personally don't like staying at hostels but for what my company has selected this place was quite alright. Any time spent outside the rooms was quite pleasant overall.

Room checks need to be conducted regularly to ensure the safety and security of all residents…read more While I was staying in Room 228, too many individuals who were not assigned to the room were coming in and out without proper supervision. I reported my concerns to management about unauthorized individuals entering and leaving the room. However, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and that management was not taking the situation seriously or making an adequate effort to investigate what had happened. I have serious concerns that I may have been drugged without my consent while staying in that room. The individuals I am concerned about were assigned to Beds 3 and 4. I fear that my sexual orientation may have played a role in how I was treated, and I am requesting that this concern be investigated thoroughly. I also have concerns about the potential safety risks posed by these individuals, including behavior that I perceived as potentially radicalized. I ask management to investigate these concerns objectively rather than dismissing them without review. Please document my complaint, review the room assignments and access procedures, and take appropriate steps to protect residents from unauthorized access, harassment, and potential harm. Every resident deserves to feel safe and to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of sexual orientation, nationality, or background. I am asking management to take my report seriously and explain what steps will be taken to address these concerns and prevent similar incidents in the future.

I recommend reviewing the menu before arrival. The Beef Stew was absolutely the start dish. Great flavors, textures, and temp. A herbal delightful dish with some veggies and great mashed potatoes. The fish and chips were good, the batter light on flavor but still fresh. && the house white wine was wonderful. They do have a courtyard for drinks if that is more your fancy. Hadn't really had pub food yet, so why not visit the oldest pub in Dublin? We walked in and were seated inside. Tho there's a patio if you just want a quick drink and maybe some app. Overall, I think the food was okay. The salad was probably the best thing in my opinion. I found the stew and chowder on the saltier side. And I love salt. Irish coffee was fine. I typically like mie stiffer, but I could have asked for an extra shot if I really wanted it. Worth a visit, but maybe don't order a full on meal. I don't think the dishes were worth the price. We also didn't finish the majority and this was our first meal of the day. REVIEW #4128

Our first meal in Dublin was at The Old Mill Restaurant, right in the heart of Temple Bar. It's been serving traditional Irish fare since the 1980s and has become a favorite stop for both locals and visitors looking for classic comfort food. After about a 20-minute wait, we were seated in the warm, inviting dining room. Susan ordered the mussels, one of her favorites, while I went with the Traditional Irish Stew and my daughter chose the Braised Beef & Guinness Stew. Both were exactly what we hoped for: hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of sightseeing. I finally understood why the Guinness stew had such a rich, dark color, and I have to admit, I came home a big fan of Irish stew. We finished with the Homemade Bread & Butter Pudding topped with fresh cream and custard, a comforting dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Service, atmosphere, value, and food were all five out of five. We also enjoyed chatting with the floor manager, whose pride in the restaurant and his team was obvious. That kind of hospitality made a great meal even more memorable.

I researched spots on Yelp that seemed conducive to working comfortably and also offered food. Third Space locally sources their coffee and rotates their food menu. They offer a small Irish breakfast in the morning and an expansive drink menu. The space itself has some cozy areas and shelves full of books, including a kid section. I appreciated that they have a laptop-free time from 12:30-2:30. I sat at a 2-top near the books that luckily had an outlet and a great view of the green outside. The kind workers roamed and checked in periodically and the food and drink were fabulous. I ordered: -Oat milk latte-so good I had two as I worked -Avocado toast -spicy sauce, creamy avocado mash on lovely, toasted bread.. Perfectly poached eggs and a sun-dried tomato addition. Great service. Friendly, helpful, constantly checking on patrons. Worker (newly moved from Brazil) especially kind as he bussed tables. This was one of my favorite spots in Dublin and I will seek it out again when I come back to town. Highly recommend!
