Nice neighborhood place. Diner feel, w huge menu. Reasonable prices. Happy hour looks interesting 3 to 9pm. Eggs Benedict was good , turkey sandwich was good.

This was my go-to brunch spot while visiting NY. Food was fresh, delicious, good portion sizes, & great prices! I especially loved their brunch drink specials- 2 for $10..yes, please! They do have both indoor & outdoor seating. While it did get busy on the weekends, we never had to wait to be seated & the staff were always very attentive. While they don't have a private parking lot, there is usually plenty of street parking (just have to pay the parking meter) South Slope Eatery definitely deserves 5++++++ stars & then some! Till next time, ~Rebecca

Oooh baby they like it Raw

Veggie Breakfast Quesadilla

Pretty decent service and brunch food. The atmosphere was a bit lousy but very energetic. I would definitely recommend people come here for brunch and the menu has a good amount of choices to pick from.

One of my favorite places to get breakfast around the area. Service is quick and food is delicious. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. It's truly. They have a huge menu, full of items to choose from. I've only ever had breakfast here but would definitely try their lunch and dinner options.

A Rigatoni ala Vodka with shrimp. It was pretty soupy :\

I wanted to like this place so badly!! The staff was so incredibly kind and sweet, but the food simply wasn't great. My noodles were pretty soupy and the shrimp tasted off, plus my drink was too strong to finish =[ Also, be sure to ask for separate checks up front! That's not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

So many options here. The bison wrap was pretty basic but well seasoned. The spicy mango salmon wrap was great though. Drinks with ginger were definitely strong; very much an acquired taste but every unique. The website was annoying to order on but the pick up process was seamless.

Buttermilk Chicken Burger (Sandwich)

I've walked by a few dozen times and usually held off due to pricing, which to be honest isn't that steep to begin with, but today thought I'd treat myself and Hoooooly hell this food is amazing. The fries are crispy, the buttermilk chicken sandwich is flavorful with just the right hit of spicy to it, and the perfect combo of flavors. I got slope sauce on the side to dip the fries, which strikes me more as a "fry sauce" so I'm really glad I did! And the cabbage compliments the chicken completely. This thing is so big it's almost hard to hold. Also ordered the Cappuccino Freeze, which is everything I wanted in a frozen espresso drink. I don't live far from here but even with that in mind the delivery was quicker than most south slope takeout I've ordered, and piping hot upon arrival. Definitely gained a repeat customer.

Fried Chicken & Waffles

This is an OK spot for a casual lunch. Nothing memorable here. Chicken on my salad was dry, and the fried chicken was dry too. Not much more to say besides that. Come here with low expectations and you'll be pleasantly rewarded. From a glance at the table next to us, looked like the sandwiches were pretty solid. Sorry Yelp, couldn't keep my thumbs rolling on this one. I've run out of words lol

Butternut squash soup

Simply delicious. Love the variety of choices in the menu. Even on a diet I had choices from which to choose from. First time here & definitely returning, If I'm in the area.

Spinach egg feta sandwich

South Slope Eatery is such a gem! The menu is extensive, which can make people weary of quality, but every meal I've had was delicious and of good quality. My favorites are their beyond burger, I usually build my own with american cheese, jalapeños and sweet potato fries on the side. Their nachos are also great, a very big portion and generous toppings. Their breakfast is also great, I've tried their waffle, spinach feta and egg sandwich as well as the guacamole eggs Benedict with home fries. As you can read I'm a "regular", but that just shows how good the food, staff and service is!

There's a couple of tables in a small store. Above the register there's a menu board resembling a train departures board, cycling through the options (it looks neat, but the printed out menu on your right is a lot more practical). There's a cooler with drinks and salads as you enter on the right. The sandwiches, however, are something special. On my first visit I went with something familiar, the Mean Streets (their Italian sandwich). The bread itself is fantastic (locally baked), and the toppings delicious as well (if I recall correctly the dressings are house made). Pleasantly, they also give you a paper plate with your order, which is a nice touch compared to eating off a wrapper. I enjoyed the first sandwich so much I came back the next day to try the No Sleep Til Gravesend. The sandwich is essentially a hot roast beef sandwich, with a jus on the sandwich reminiscent of a French Dip. Perfect on a cold, rainy day. Overall, 1 of 1 has great (and mostly house made) ingredients and great execution. There's a level of creativity on the menu that you rarely see elsewhere in the city. 1 of 1 is among the best sandwich shops in the city, and a very welcome addition to the area.

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.

I see a lot of patrons working in laptops, some meeting up to talk and sip and even the barista chatted with a local patron. Love it! My chai was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chai was frothy, rich, the black tea leaves infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, sweetener, and milk. I savored every sip and complimented the barista.
