Came in for brunch on a Saturday with 6 others. Service was bugshit fast - drinks, appetizers, mains - and our server was a world beater. The food was meh and the atmosphere was even worse. We came here for breakfast and i got the challah french toast (first time i haven't finished my french toast). My bf got an americano and a wrap. He wasn't happy with his drink and also left a lot of food on his plate. It just feels so cheap and icky in here. The server was nice enough and the food came fast enough but I wouldn't return. This is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. The food is always fresh and delicious and generous portions. Absolutely recommend.

New owner Krizstina is energetic, friendly and a great manager. The food is fresh and yummy and the service is wonderful. Eaten here for lunch and late lunch a few times. Sit outside on high stools, so get to watch the happenings on the street as well. I love the teryaki bowl and add avocado to it. Fresh and tasty and the coffee is great. read more

Visited this place today for the second time and I have to say it was horrible. My friend and I had gone for breakfast, he ordered eggs w bacon, sausage and ham w french toast and I ordered corned beef hash and eggs. Both the dishes were a disappointment, and the prices went up at least 4-5 dollars on the menu. Horrendous food. The bacon almost broke my tooth, cbh was undercooked, it was just unappetizing. It didn't make sense because it was a weekday late morning and the place wasn't busy at all, even if it was, there shouldn't excuse for bad food at a restaurant, specially if you've increased prices within a month. The food is decent, the price is affordable for park slope and the milkshake was delicious. I came in recently to have dinner with my daughter and it was pretty much empty. The waitress greeted us immediately and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. The menu is pretty straight forward for dinner and they do offer a kids menu if you're interested. Honestly the portions are pretty big so I ended up sharing the chicken parm with spaghetti and it was more than enough food for an adult and a child. The chicken parm was pretty good. Very cheesy and flavorful. The spaghetti was just ok, a tad overcooked and bland. I had to add some salt to it. We also ordered the Guac and chips. You get to choose corn or pita and it's not storebought. The corn chips were fresh made (hence it being oily) but it was a little too fried for my taste. The Guac was ok, needed more lime and cilantro for sure. We also shared a vanilla milkshake and this was absolutely delicious. Nice and creamy but not overly sweet. Overall, this is a cool spot to grab a bite to eat without any fuss. They have an extension breakfast menu so I'll be back to try that. read more

I thought long and hard about posting this review. I went to this establishment 3 times. once for takeout, and twice for dine in. Here is my reasoning for never returning Dine-in: The first time it was pretty empty the food was great and we enjoyed it. our server a women with a pretty thick accent was really nice so no complaints there. 2nd vist: It was pretty packed. I guess because 5th ave was having a pride festival. My boyfriend and I decided to go. We waiting a couple minutes an were seated at the last table to the right closest to the bathroom. The food was ok our fries where good I love there fries but it was like the bottom of the bag fries you know all broken up bits and pieces. Anyway after we where done eating we sat there for a while (I STILL HAD HALF MY SANDWICH LEFT. I was facing the door and my boyfriend said to me eww look. I turn around and it was a pregnant ROACH CRAWLING UP THE WALL. Nobody from their team even noticed. The roach was pretty big. I then ate what felt like forever waved over a tall gentleman with a balled head. He got a piece of paper (and reach up high)and killed the Roach. I was disgusted. He apologized once and walked off to continue his conversation. Disgusted i decided to leave but before leaving i went to the bathroom. Someone was in the bathroom so i had to wait and upon waiting someone was coming out of the kitchen the door was open for an extended period of time and their head cook was putting on his jacket a quick glance and i see MUFFINS IN A BIN UNDER TABLE JUST OUT SITTING ONTOP EACH OTHER IN A DISH BIN. How gross their kitchen is flithy. They are very nasty no gloves, dirty kitchen, and sub par food. I can't bother Ive worked in restaurants before and and this is not ok I left my sandwich and anybody who knows me knows that take everything with me. I will never eat here again. read more

I popped into South Slope prior to my boxing class at NYSC, which is just a few blocks away. To be honest, I'd never heard of it before and made the decision after searching for "healthy breakfast spots". Upon entering, I noticed that the decor reminded me a lot of a small diner or cafe, rather than a health-conscious eatery. But, after being seated and served, I was more than happy with my decision. I got the protein dish, which came with egg whites, spinach, toast, and veggies--all fresh and delicious. Honestly, it was a straightforward, no frills breakfast and it hit all the right spots in my appetite. Everyone there was friendly and accommodating as well. The only reason I'm knocking it down to a 4 star review is the wait. After asking for my check, I sat around for close to 10 minutes without ever actually receiving it. I ended up going to the counter and paying, which is fine. I just don't like waiting around for such things--especially when I have to be somewhere at a certain time. I'll certainly be back again though, as they offer a lot of smoothie and juice options that I'm dying to try. read more

I moved here four days ago and have eaten here everyday. No joke. This is exactly the place I complained about north slope not having for two years. The food is very good & fresh. Reasonably priced and well prepared. The breakfast smoothies are perfect in a pinch - like when you've thrown all your food away from your old apartment and haven't gone grocery shopping yet. Really disappointed with this place. I have been coming here for lunch every day almost since 2016 & brought so many people to their business through referrals. However my experiences lately haven't been pleasant and I've been putting off by giving negative feedback. But 1. they raised their prices way too high & it's not even a gourmet entree dish. For a cheeseburger it was $16+ and they explained they added lettuce and tomato as if tomatoes & lettuce is $10? Then i was asked if i want my change back, which turned me off, it's not polite. I've been coming here for a few years now. Back then it was called something else but the food has always been consistent. As far as diners go it's a slight step above, but nothing crazy. They do have a few hidden gems scattered in the menu. If you crave a juice or smoothie they will satisfy your needs. I have had some nice meals here but today the food and service were both terrible.The over cooked omelette arrived first, before the coffee and before the juice, and we waited 7 more minutes for the pancakes to arrive. Then it took another 7 minutes for the coffee to finally arrive. Pancakes were hard and rubbery, worst I ever had. Omelette was limp and flavorless, what they called home fries were a mushy unrecognizable mess. The waiter did not offer us any conciliation when he asked how the meal was-- all he could do is put up his hands and shrug it off.
