I had written a review some time ago on an old Yelp account about this place. The food is usually pretty outstanding - we love the sourdough bread. In my older review, I complained that my order was typically missing something, and most recently, an entire sandwich. The experience hasn't stopped us from frequenting the establishment, though. The food is very good. Today, I placed an order for my team because we were working on a gorgeous Saturday so buying lunch was the least I could do. My order arrived and I thought it was a mistake. Love these sandwiches and that's saying a lot. The bread is perfect which makes the sandwich imo. I usually get the French dip which comes with a side of Ajou. The only complaint I have is the price per sandwich. The sandwiches are a lot smaller than the average sandwich shop. I do like that because it's easier to bite and handle, but the problem is I can eat the whole thing. I would normally save the second half for later. I don't know if spending $40 on two sandwiches is really worth it. If they lower the price, I'd probably go there more often. It also takes a little longer than most places so order ahead. For now I just go there when I want to splurge for a sandwich. Reply: I do understand with competitive prices and inflation is why they are priced this way. The problem is the amount you get. Delish! If you are in the mood for a good sando then this is your spot. The sourdough bread is good and fresh and they have all the toppings and options that you would want in a sandwich. They have their signature sauce which seems like a mix of Horseradish and mayo of some kind. It is a nice touch. I always add peppercini's on mine as well. They also try to get you in and out as fast as they can but since it is popular you might be waiting for a bit. My only gripes are that the soups can be bland and you will be paying a premium price but at the same time this is a fresher option than say, subway. However (at the novato location) Nugget is just down the street and is pretty much the same price for a much more premium sandwich. Just something to think about. I love this location in Nave Dr. They are always friendly and listen to what you actually want on your sandwich. I've never had a sandwich that was not good. They are very detailed oriented on what you want on your sandwich. I did try the other location that in vintage shopping center but it did not meet it's expectation. I know that this is a new location so I'm sure they have to work out the kinks but my sandwich was definitely not as good as the one on Nave drive. I do wish that they would do a reward system because I know a lot of people frequent this place a lot. Could be something to consider? The glowing touch about this location is they give you a little quarter of a cookie like a dessert. It's a nice touch. This location is always nice and clean. No tables are ever dirty. We came here again. I increased my rating from 3 to 4 stars because it really hit the spot today. I get the chicken salad because I try to avoid lunch meats which usually have nitrates. Me and one of my daughters were both happy with our sandwiches. We both got the 6 inch size which is the perfect size for me. They did, though, seem a bit pricey. We had the southwest salad and the Cobb - you don't need a large since the mixin's are the same from the regular - they just add more lettuce, at least most recently. I came here recently and ordered the #9 (thinly sliced cracked pepper turkey topped with shredded lettuce, ripe tomato slices, mayo, Dijon mustard, swiss cheese, all on a freshly baked sourdough bread). I was in sandwich Heaven. The lunchtime line here moves quickly thanks to Sourdough & Co.'s conveyor belt of skilled sandwich technicians. I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes and for under 10 bucks. Needless to say, so you get plenty of sandwich bang for your buck. I'm not even done with the second half of my sandwich, and I'm already thinking about when I'll be coming back for my next lunch. The next time I return, I look forward to trying their French Dip for $9.99. Sounds like a wonderful food coma in the making.
