    Beef stew without ANY beef.
    Dree D.

Nice quaint place. Nothing wrong with the customer service aside from a lil bait and switch. Although huge potential to be delicious, for a $10 beef stew you'd expect at least a few pieces of beef. I had ( count ) 2 tiny pieces of beef. Frozen green beans, and a spoonful of disappointment. I'm outdone.

The weather is still cold in April and I took the chance to order from this place even though I haven't heard much about it. The kale and black eyed peas soup is very flavorful and tasted really healthy. The crab cake was pretty standard- I was surprised by the size of it. The tuna sandwich was also delicious with the bread that was used for it. I'm curious to check out the other soups and items from this restaurant

I had a unbelievable craving for soup in the summer - judge me I'm anemic - and needed to get something on the go. The SOUP QUEENs are doing thing at the soup dive. The part that got me was 1- all the ingredients are at the highest quality available and 2- they don't compromise quality for challenges. I'd rather pay a bit more than have to question if the chicken is halal or the seafood is imatation. No faking the funk here, my soup was DELICIOUS. Salmon patty too. I'll be back for sure.

Halal Chicken Breast Dinner w mixed vegetables, spinach and cornbread!

I've had their food from their food truck and was very impressed! The teriyaki chicken was moist and had a ton of flavor. The red skin mashed potatoes were good along w mixed vegetables and a nice size of corn bread. A very good lunch for $11 was worth it. This brought me to their Southfield location. I ordered the same thing but w spinach instead of mashed potatoes. In store price was a little higher at $12.50. The staff was super friendly. I would pass on the upgrade for spinach bc it didn't have much flavor. I again really enjoyed the flavor in the teriyaki chicken and the green dip. I sampled the salmon chowder, I will order a bowl of that next time. I look forward to having them again.

We get food trucks at work once a week and this one was awesome! Many people expected a variety of soups but it was so much more. They did have gumbo, chicken noodle and a tomato soup on the menu. I tried the wild Alaskan salmon fillet which came with two sides. I opted to get double veggies instead of the mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the salmon crockets. We both really enjoyed our meals, everything tasted very fresh. They make everything from scratch, have gluten free options and use healthy ingredients like extra virgin olive oil. I would definitely order again if I saw this truck around town.

The sandwiches are great! Soups are pretty good as well, but those thick sandwiches that are quality keep me coming back!

I worked with Eric Kierszkowski on our menu. We had Vegetarians and guests with food allergies. The vegetarian option was one of the most delicious and filling meals I've ever had from a catered event. Absolutely superb. We also had two guests unaccounted for - and Eric was able to seemlessly provide meals for them. His staff was so efficient and friendly. They showed up early to set up the tables with me and stayed after everyone had vacated to help clean up. The best caterer I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend their services.

It was fun to watch her work. Our waitress, Cecilia was the best we've experienced here. She was friendly, efficient, and kept our drinks coming. She reminded us about the happy hour specials. She even refilled our drinks after we paid and were still sitting at the table chatting away. I wish I had extra cash on me because I when have doubled the tip that was left for her. As for the food... the nachos are always a table favorite. I tried the chicken tenders with BBQ sauce - which I believe is made in house - it's pretty perfect in BBQ flavor. I found Red Balloon Saloon on Google Maps--it looked promising, so I met up with a buddy there after work. First impressions were solid: the place looks good inside, with plenty of TVs and even a pool table. We grabbed seats at the bar and started to settle in--until I saw the sign saying they add a mandatory 20% gratuity to all tabs. That's a big issue for me. If tips are guaranteed, where's the motivation for good service? Unfortunately, that concern proved true. It took a while to get our drinks, and we had to flag the bartender down to order appetizers. I got the cheese sticks and my buddy got the catfish. Both were tasty--no complaints on the food. The biggest downside? It was insanely loud. So loud that my Apple Watch actually alerted me about excessive noise levels. It made it really tough to have a conversation, and we ended up leaving early. Even cashing out took longer than it should have. While it's conveniently close to my new office, I don't see myself coming back. The forced gratuity policy and overwhelming noise make it a one-and-done for me.

The food is typical fried bar food. But it's still decent and let's you soak up some liquor lol. The drinks are pretty basic, don't expect super fancy drinks but they will get you where you need to be. The ambience is decent, pretty long bar with plenty of tables and a billiard table as well. If you want quiet, this may not be the place for you. They have TVs and play pretty loud music. They have a juke box so that you can even request songs yourself. The parking is free lot parking but it isn't a lot out front so you may have to park in the back if it's a crowded night. The establishment is in a small shopping center so you have to take whatever parking you can get. The back of the building has a huge area for parking though so aside from a potentially long walk, you should be fine. The staff can be hit or miss. It really depends on what kind of mood they are in lol. Never had any bad experience though overall, but sometimes they don't give you that 5 star smile. This is a good neighborhood bar that has a lot of character. I will always ride or die for red balloon.

I did not eat the stir-fried chicken completely because it had a liver and onion taste. Somehow the flavors got mixed together. I have been there with my family many times and it was good. I went to take the food that was not eaten back and told them that it tasted like the liver and onions. The insulting thing is that the manager on duty said that they did not sell liver and onions. I told them that it tasted like that and then the server came over and remembered me and said that I told her that I loved the food and that again was not accurate. I do not understand them not even felling as though they should apologize but became very combative about it like I was trying to get a steak dinner out of it. I said here is the meal and over half was there. I know that it had liver mixed in because I am allergic to liver and spent most of the night puking it up. I was so very disappointed that I looked at them and just left if it is that important for them to be correct than to help a customer it is a shame. I have spent with my family hundreds of dollars there but now that I see that they could care less about customer service and more about being correct I definitely will not return. I can only give a one star but if I could go lower because of the treatment I would.
