The meat was well seasoned and everything else was also super tasty! Our waiter was super friendly! I didn't catch his name but he has definitely served me before. He usually stays behind the bar. Alfeo's is in a cute shopping center next to a vintage store in Glyndon. In all my years of living in Maryland, I have never been to Glyndon. Our server was Olivia and she was the sweetest. She walked to our table with a smile and asked what we wanted to drink. I was impressed that she asked if I wanted lemon in my water. I usually have to ask for lemon! We ordered the grilled calamari and Italian cheesesteak and it was the best ever grilled calamari and Italian cheesesteak I have ever had! The calamari was crispy and the Italian cheesesteak bread was toasted enough that its hot but not soggy. I didn't take any pictures but everything looked delicious as I described. This is definitely a place worth going to and the prices are reasonable.

They come with a marina sauce but I swear you don't even need it. Their normal Detroit style pizza is bready and yummy, but the New Haven style is thin and so crispy. You can't go wrong with either. They also have good salads and super crispy chicken tenders. I only wish the breading was seasoned as they taste a little bland. On the other hand, I find the pepperoni a little too salty but overal the pizzas are usually well balanced. Service is attentive and quick and the place gets packed but there is plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is nice! Such a good neighborhood spot for a happy hour or dinner!

This is the kind of neighborhood bar you instantly want to make a staple every time you are in the area. Chill vibe, and absolutely phenomenal Detroit style pizza. The bartender was awesome too, super attentive and even shared a good laugh with me about a couple of the signs around the bar. It made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you are in the neighborhood, or honestly, even if you are not. Pig & Rooster is worth the detour.

He came here for a restaurant week birthday treat for one of my friends. Michaels is located on eastern Avenue. They have their own small lot and you can probably find decent street parking close by as well. When you walk in the first thing you will notice is the wood panel on all of the wall walls. Reminded me of my parent's basement when I was growing up. Looks like the restaurant has remained unchanged as far as its original designs from when it first opened 40+ years ago. There was a very nice waitress working by the name of Brooke. It appears that she was the only waitress working on a Saturday afternoon. There was one bartender. So if you are in a rush, do not expect the fastest service. But Brooke was great very friendly and was willing to answer any question about menu items that we had. She brought out some bread and took our drink orders. I had a Stella in later ordered a old-fashioned. The old-fashioned was very good. Not too sweet and a generous amount of bourbon. They do not have the large single cubes of ice so it was traditional, crushed ice. But it was strong enough that it was not watered down as the ice melted. For my meal, I had a New York strip steak with a crab cake. Also had a cup of cream of crab soup and a slice of cheesecake. This was only the restaurant we menu for $55. Crab soup was delicious delicious. It had a good flavor and you could taste the chunks of real crab meat. The crabcake was OK, it had a generous amount of jumbo lump crab meat, but it was a little on the bland side. The New York strip steak was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly medium. Warm pink center and a delightful char to the exterior. Did not need any additional seasoning or steak sauce. The sides were so so. I just had a baked potato. It was nothing fancy, just a plain baked potato with a dollop of sour cream. Overall, a solid place. It appears the locals enjoy it because the bar packed with people who all knew each other and it seems like they come quite frequently. The menu has some pretty good weekend specials. I wouldn't mind coming back again.

Both were off the salvadoran portion of the menu, and both were unbelievably good.
