BUYER BEWARE!! Purchased & sold many vehicles in my life, hands down, worse car buying experience ever. There appears to be a lot of inconsistencies, lack of communication & zero integrity going on here. There's not enough room to write, to even begin to warn consumers so sadly it'll have to be brief. HUGE RED FLAGS 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks VIN#3FMCR9C64MRA01757, Stock #D12138A - Sales Reps new, know nothing about vehicles & no attempt to find out answers to questions. Areli although kind, fit this bill. - Vehicle not as advertised or presented on site as clean inside/out yet in person was absolutely disgusting inside!. Filthy. Heavy debris over every inch of floors, white food/liquid spilled on top of rear seat, debris imbedded into seats. Thoroughly embarrassing and unprofessional for the dealer - Gas light on during test drive, alone - Auto hold check light on, when questioned, Natasha, Sales Manager advised "Well, it's under manufacturer warranty". No assurance it'd be fixed prior to purchase, more or less insinuated that was on us to fix. - MAJOR milage discrepancy. Again, not as advertised on site. Vehicle pic posted on dealer site as 17,583.3 yet listed on all sites including theirs as 32,613, yet odometer read 19,722.4 HUGE red flags waved for possible vin swap. Natasha asked to see ad, we had & cross referenced vin. She confirmed was correct vehicle but "Someone must've made a mistake & entered the wrong milage" Next day, Natasha advised she "Thought what had happened was it was entered as km and not miles. Adam Larson, identified as GM, stated this as well. However, math does not compute, that would be 20,264.7 miles - Vehicle on lot for 61 days, Kwok, identified as General Sales Manager, claims can sell for $33K yet posted at $27,590? W/in those 61days, vehicle had 2,139.1 placed on it. Confirmed being used as loaner or employee car. After, 3 days deep w/attamepts to purchase vehicle, I offered $26K. 2nd offer, meet inK at $26,795. They come down $795, I'll come up $795. Natasha, Kwok & Adam all attempted ZERO negotiations and let me walk for $795. Unheard of for a dealer to not enter into negotiations not to mention, the poor and misleading customer interaction alone warrants negotiations. - Dealer has poor ratings across board. When asked Natasha to pull Carfax as 2 major recalls showing as not fixed, she advised they don't use Carfax but pulled anyway? Kwok, advised, "Yes, we do!" yet, Adam Larson confirmed they in fact do not. - Dealer not part of Ford Certified program. A 21' with 19k miles which would qualify, could not be Certified. Adam advised they chose not to buy into due to cost. - Adam Larsen only apologized for misinformation provided & poor customer service. Said I should've been informed day 1 that car was priced as is. He's fully aware of dealer faults & let cash paying, 3 dy invested & customer walk over $795. He was too busy talking over me, trying to explain how long employees involved worked there, what their level of experience was, ,market values etc than selling a vehicle that is clearly not moving. I am fully convinced dealer incorrectly priced vehicle w/32k miles on it & did everything in their power to foil purchase for me so they can turn around & re-post it with correct milage & price as they knew I had them with potential false advertisement as well as not honoring the accurate milage/price. As of today, the vehicle has already been re-posted with correct milage. - Inaccuracies with milage, advertisement & pricing - Kwok ILLEGALLY asked "How much can I pay you to not give us a bad review" - Showing vehicles in poor, unclean and unsafe conditions - Customer Service standards low, not recognize value w/cash paying consumer purchasing non certified, 1st edition vehicle w/2 major recalls, one which had no proof of fix @ 19k milage, Dash warning light present, major milage discrepancy, new tires needed, filthy vehicle condition, gas light on, uneducated staff & zero attempts to negotiate sale to the tune of $795 TOTAL SKETCHY DEALER, UNPROFESSIONAL, ZERO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!!!!! read more

Long story short: If this place could receive less than a 1, it should. I normally am a patient person, and believe that it is what it is, that there's always a way to make things work. That doesn't apply here. I am still appalled when I think about the experience I had there. It's extremely shady practice, magically pulling numbers out their asses to make it "work" for your budget. The whole ordeal was terrible from the beginning. Long story? Read on. I waited a little bit to write this review because I wanted all emotion removed. Three weeks ago, I was looking for a new car. I had been renting for long trips, as my car was on its last leg. On a Wednesday, I went car shopping, on Thursday I visited Sound Ford around noon(6am the next day I had to leave for Montana). My intent was to purchase a car. My boyfriend and I walked around the pre-owned section, looking for an Escape (2013). Finally found one we liked, and asked about price. They took that as "Yes, let's go for a test drive!" No, I wanted the price. Because it's the process that they have, we obliged. They do NOT tell you the price of the vehicle, they only tell you what the monthly payment would be. The car we liked had a dead battery, so we drove another (one model down). I asked about the price again, and they said that the SEL (the one we were looking at) was a few thousand more than the SE (test drive model).. okay, that makes sense if we're staying within a budget. Go inside, wait a bit to talk to someone. I said my monthly was between 250-350 (again, they refuse to tell you price). They went into the finance manager's office, and came back with a number... 430. How the heck does that sound right? They fudged the interest rate, down to 407. Then they managed to come down to 380. I hesitantly agreed... so we started the process. Here is the biggest red flag - I was on their computer printing my insurance information, and I searched for the model that we were getting. The SAME car we saw earlier (the SEL) was 500 dollars CHEAPER than the model they were selling me. I should have walked out at this point right? Nope, although I was upset, they profusely apologized and gave me the model I wanted. It was already 3pm and I had to leave, to come back at 7pm. Upon arriving, I waited over an hour for the finance manager. Super agitated, we completed the paperwork, and drive off around 8:15pm. The second I drove off, I realized my windshield was cracked. Are you kidding me? I drive back pissed off and in tears because I had already spent 4 hours dealing with the headache. I will admit a tore the manager a new one, who felt embarrassed... he couldn't let me drive that car legally. We walked around the lot, I finally found a car I liked - a 2013 Ford Fusion (silver), had AWD. didn't even test drive it. We go back to look at numbers, and the manager (Quoc I think) said that he would make it work for me. Came back with a number over $450 (my initial range was 250-350). It was completely outrageous. He offered me the same model in a different color (red, no thanks, not if I'm spending 20k+ on a car), without AWD, only because the car I chose was new on the lot and he could sell it for more. At this point it was 930, and he offered me a ride home. That possibly could have ended up badly. My boyfriend picked me up at 10pm. Oh, did I mention that they had already deposited my down payment and I had to call my bank the next day to put a stop on that check? The next day, we were late because we had no vehicle. I ended up going to Bowen-Scarff in Kent... (please please please, if you read this, save yourself the headache and go there). They have a single price, no bargaining, no hassle. I found a car in 20 minutes and left the dealership within a couple hours after arrive with a smile on my face. I still get anxiety thinking about my experience at Sound Ford. read more

If I could put a 0 star I absolutely would. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR .Customer service is NOT a thing here. Careless, rude, insulting, inconvenient and DISGUSTING is more like it. Both locations , here and sound national lending (their counterpart and same general manager Adam ) are completely oblivious to safety during covid, especially at sound national lending. Numerous times ive gone in and they havent had masks. I was in a very bad car accident in september and had to get a car out of necessity and nothing but a hard time with them. They were completely irresponsible with the paperwork for the bank, blamed me for their failing in not getting it in on time , made me have to go through another deal for more and constantly kept calling me while i was at work and would not even give me a chance to call back yet 0 communication when it was actually needed. They insulted me, made me miss 2 meetings when im trying to get back into work after my accident and got me in trouble with my job , were horribly rude and again still never wore masks, To make it worse they breached their contract and I had to call them 3 times for my plates my paper was good till the 4th of november and I didnt get my plates till 5 days after and when I showed concern that I could get a ticket i was already upset , continuously insulted and waved off, I voiced my worry as a black woman of getting pulled over and asked for something, anything in writing , they scoffed at me and refused and then proceesed to threaten me by calling the police instead of treating me like a HUMAN and a PAYING CUSTOMER and not act like ignorant uncaring and racist. I finally got my plates and then the car that I just purchased and didnt have plates for wouldnt start. The battery was bad , so bad that it was almost less then 300 of the 800 it should be at and they did nothing NOTHING to help me even after I complained about the way i was treated and the process/ experience. No reimbursment for the battery and my time out of good faith. NOTHING. This is disgusting and dissapointing. I will be contacting better business bureau for breach of contract regarding no plates among other things since they don't care maybe someone else can make them and teach them how to deal with customers. read more

I stopped in about a week ago just window shopping. I wanted to take a good look at the late model Mustangs and see if I liked how they drive and what option packages were available. I was met by Alex, a "product specialist", and Kesh, who I believe is a sales manager. As a product specialist, I discovered that they aren't the typical commissioned sales people. Not only are they non-commissioned (so there's no sales pressure), they are also trained in many aspects of car sales, including washing and prep. Alex was very helpful and showed me the variety of cars they had and demonstrated the latest technologies that Ford incorporated into the cars and accompanied me on a nice test drive of the Mustang GT. But....I had to tell them that my wife was out of town for a few more days and I couldn't go any farther (yes, it was true). Before my wife's return, their sales manager, Brian Camp, personally called me at home to thank me for coming in and offered any help that I might want. The great thing here is, that after talking with Brian, I discovered that he's a tremendous asset for the dealership having owned a multitude of Mustangs in his life and knows all about them. Good to know! A few days go by and my wife met me there after work, again, mostly window shopping for her this time. Product specialists Mikkeli and Natasha helped me this time and were wonderful to work with. Both were very informative and friendly. In the end, I found the car that I was looking for, with most of the options that I wanted, in their inventory for the right price! Financing was a breeze with their financial guy, Nabu, who has access to most if not all of the available credit issuing agencies around here. After sale support has been great also. They didn't just forget about me now that the sale is done. This has been a totally positive experience for me and I recommend to anyone to give the folks at Sound Ford a chance to earn your business. And, no, I'm not receiving a single penny for writing up this positive review. read more

I recently have been searching for a 2018 Ford SUV in which they had many listed on their website. I've been past this dealership many times and finally decided to go ahead and check out my options for my next car purchase. Once I got there, I was freshly greeted by a nice young woman who referred herself as a product specialist, Abby, (non-commission sales) whom introduced me to the dealership. I then met with one of the sales managers, Innette, who explained their whole approach to how they handled their business with customers and made sure I understood that there was no pressure whatsoever to purchasing a car! Mind you that I was still doing some research on the SUVs that I wanted to check out, so I still had more questions to ask as well as cars to drive. I wanted to test and compare the different Ford SUV models- Escape and the edge. The product specialist took me outside to check the inventory for those two models on what they had on the lot and also let me knew that there was another lot to check out if I wanted to compare the trim levels of the different models. Luckily, the models that they had on their main lot had all the options and packages that I wanted to look at and compare. I drove both the titanium escape and the titanium edge using the same route so I could understand the different drivetrains, AND also decided to drive the ecosport (which now I am considering!). When I came back from my test drive, I ended up awestruck with the SUV options that I had. I decided not to purchase that day, however I left with the sales manager leaving me her card as well as brochures and more information specifically for the three models that I test drove. This was my first experience trying to buy my own car at a dealership, as a young college student. To say the least my experience fell nothing short of terrible. The car we went to view was extremely dirty upon arrival. Regardless we went to take a test drive to solidify my interest when we found check lights going off in the car for gas and parking break issues, before becoming aware that the car was actually on recall and hadn't been fixed. We continued to talk about our interest in the car, however quickly found out the staff had almost no answers to any of our questions and wasn't very knowledgeable about their own car? While discussing questions it was brought to my attention that the mileage on the car was significantly less than what was outlined in the add. Over 10,000 less. Clearly thinking this is weird we brought it to the staffs attention where they told us that someone royally messed up. Following this the staffs demeanor changed from very welcoming and eager to make a sale to sincerely unwelcoming. We expressed our interest in buying and negotiating for the car, only to be shut down over and over again. The staff refused to even talk numbers and kept on sending us to various different staff member where no one would give us a straight answer. I am a very capable and educated honors student, who is the top of her class, and I have only left feeling like this staff is trying to manipulate a "young dumb" girl. I am sad to say this experience has given me a bad taste in my mouth, and has left me frustrated, confused, and suspicious of this process. Great way to start my car purchase journey. Yes the bait and switch tactic was alive and well when I went into Sound Ford too but I remained steadfast and took the "bait" car home. I guess I consider that a normal car buying ritual in this country. During the test drive of my new Ford Fiesta, it became clear that despite Ben Bouyahmed's, my salesman, attempts to assist me in remembering how to drive a stick again, I would not be able to safely drive my new car home. Sound Ford had one employee drive me home in my new Fiesta and a second employee in another car to drive the first employee back to work! However, I wasn't too clever during the car-buying transaction, and ordered extended warranty/maintenance that I didn't need in my particular circumstances. So, I visited the finance manager a few days later and told him that I wanted to cancel, and he said, "No problem" and began the cancellation process immediately. Then a few weeks later, I realized that the documents that I signed had the MSRP base price rather than the "bait" price to which my salesman, Ben, and I had agreed. I called Ben immediately and he said, "No problem!" and set to work to fix the situation. Ben has been helpful, respectful, and energetic during this whole process from attempting to teach me to drive a stick again, to arranging for two cars and two drivers to get my home safely, to redoing all the financials. So, the bottom line is this. Would I recommend Sound Ford and Ben Bouyahmed to friends and family. Well I guess I am right now. read more

I rarely write reviews but this experience was so rare I felt I needed to share. My vehicle was recently stolen and totaled which is why I was in the market for a new car ( New to me, my Budget will not allow for a NEW car). I have had good experience in the past with Ford dealers but this was my first at Sound of Renton. I chose a vehicle and my salesperson, Dane worked very hard for me. I am like most middle Americans with "Fair" credit. I was very pleased with my choice until a few electrical issues showed up very shortly after delivery. I of course panicked because I did not purchase the extended warranty this time! By the way, NOT recommended, this is a must! So I take the vehicle back to Sound Ford and insist they must find me a new vehicle as I am scared to death that this could be a huge issue. Now in Washington state when you sign a contract it is yours! They were in their rights to tell me this, but to my surprise they spent all morning looking for a vehicle that would not only fit in my budget but that I would be happy with. I can not say enough about how grateful I am for the dedication to customer service of the Sales team at Sound Ford, this had the most elegant outcome possible. Absolutely horrible experience at Sound Ford in Renton. I came in seriously interested in purchasing a Ford Lightning and already had my trade-in appraised elsewhere for over $40,000 before even walking through their doors. Right off the bat, their manager tried offering me only $30,000 for my vehicle. It immediately felt disrespectful and insulting. What made it worse was the attitude throughout the entire interaction. The manager (Michael) came across as condescending and dismissive, constantly trying to justify the lowball offer with questionable statements about my car's value while also claiming the Ford Lightning wouldn't depreciate badly because it was discontinued. The whole conversation felt more like being talked down to instead of being treated like a serious buyer. After leaving frustrated, I went directly to Bowen Ford, and the difference in customer service was night and day. They immediately valued my trade-in at $43,000 with no games, no disrespect, and no unnecessary negotiation. It showed they actually understood the market and respected that I knew the value of my vehicle. I ended up buying my Ford Lightning from Bowen Ford, and I'll gladly continue giving them my business moving forward. I dread purchasing a car because of my experience at Sound Ford. Stay away from them. After telling my husband that this is 2009 (back then) and a woman should be able to purchase a car just as well as man could, we already had financing and I would only get the vehicle that was advertised online anyway (and had a set amount I wanted to pay for), I called Sound Ford (to ask if the car was available) and drove down (was there within 30 minutes of calling). THREE HOURS LATER, my son and I literally RAN out (snuck out) as I went with our six year old son (my husband left for a soccer tournament with our other sons). I wished I had gone to the soccer tournament instead. The sales guys were super aggressive and kept showing me cars I wasn't interested in, despite the fact I came in with financing already arranged from my credit union (and had explained this continually and provided paperwork), kept claiming they could get me a better deal and just "wait a few more minutes". After three hours of "a few more minutes" with my wiggly six year old, he said "mommy, let's make a break for it" and we literally just left! I felt like I should have drawn an escape route on our son like in Prison Break just to get away from aggressive, oily car salesmen who were doing a bait and switch. read more

Just bought a car today from these guys, and made a review to set things straight. Like most people I did my research reviewed all the social review platforms. Yelp for some reason has an awful rating for these guys. Still, they had the best deal around on the car I wanted. In short: I worked with Bill and interacted with a few other members of his team. Bill is a great guy. Personable, straight forward, and kind. The staff checked in on me during my waits, and chatted me up, offered coffee, etc. I traded in my car, and purchased a new one. The long: I read the dealership as a non-commission sales staff on their website. I verified they aren't. I semi suspected a "this is the deal, no haggling" type of experience but I had a trade, which I figured would take some negotiating. And it did. Not a bad thing, working in sales you need to have some negotiating skills. I was pretty proud of my trade in with the care I took of it and was shooting pretty high for what it was. After some negotiating we struck a deal. Although there was a minor hiccup in the process, I measure my review on how it was handled and the overall experience in the end. I brought my 2013 Ford Explorer in on 11/8/2017 because the passenger side heat/air conditioner was not working. The fan would blow air but not hot or cold. After investigating on the internet, I found it was most likely the blend door actuator (a $40 part). To be sure, I needed to bring it in but they said it would cost $140 for the diagnosis. I brought it in with the attitude they were going to try to rip me off and was sure to let them know I knew what the problem was already. I can't remember the gentleman's name (wish I could!!) but he asked if I had a warranty. I had bought it used from the Burien Chevy dealer and thought I purchased the extended warranty but had no paperwork or proof to back it up. He said it was no problem and he would call them. A few hours later he called to let me know I was right about the issue and that they replaced the part. He said he had a heck of time with the Chevy dealer getting the needed information for the warranty but that he got it and yes, I had a warranty. I walked out of there only paying a $100 deductible with a working heater and a car that was cleaned both inside and out. Most importantly, it made my day. I came in on Sunday, the 14th, expecting this disaster of buying a car based on my previous experiences. Boy, I could not have been more wrong. I walked in and was met by a gentleman named Christian. After he educated me a great deal of the vehicle, he then went out of the way to find the one I wanted and made sure it was ready to go when the deal was closed, all while connecting with you and making it an enjoyable experience. After my experience with Christian, I was then transferred to the Sales Manager, Dave, to talk about the price and financing. Lets be honest here, usually when you buy a new car from a dealer you expect it to go badly, and in the end you usually come out spending way more than you wanted. The amount of help Dave gave me was incredible and it is no wonder he is a sales manager. I walked out with the best car buying experience I have ever had and I am inclined to think ever will have. I HIGHLY recommend Dave and Christian as the people to talk to as soon as you walk in, they will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need and want, at the same time doing their best to make sure you spend less than you originally wanted.
