Beer list as of 12 Dec 2024

Nice cosy brewpub in downtown Cleburne. Main food is house made pizza, which was pretty tasty. Beer list covered most tastes, and the IPAs were nice and hoppy (not all breweries do well with these). Service was fast and friendly, even when they got their evening rush. We got our refills and food in a timely manner, and this will be our evening spot when we come back to Cleburne. Kid friendly, lots of room for prams and kid seats.

We stopped here on the way to Dallas from the Fossil Rim Safari. The wife found it on Yelp and the reviews were great so we decided to give it a try. What a great find! The restaurant is located on the city square that all Texas towns seem to have. It was Sunday so parking was easy. We were seated and a waitress arrived immediately. We needed a couple of minutes so take in the beer and pizza menu. Our server brought a couple of samples so I could choose. I ended up with Frances, which is a dark beer but did not quite taste as heavy as a porter. Not sure what it was exactly but it was very smooth and had great flavor. Outstanding beer. The wife had pineapple cider and the child an orange soda. We started with the seasoned flatbread with queso. I was uncertain about it from the description on the menu but it was excellent. The seasoned flatbread is a winner, and the dough made us anxious for a pizza even more! The wife and I split a small meat lovers, and the kid had a small margharita pizza. For both, the crust was divine. When you bite you hear a crack from the crisp bottom and the rest is soft and chewy. The toppings were generous and good quality. Excellent pizza. If I lived in Cleburne we would be here all the time. To top it off, upstairs there are several rooms of arcade games for kids and adults. The games are from the 1970s and 1980s. Many are operable so the kid and I had some fun. Best of all....they are all free. There is also a pool table. This is homey, comfortable place where you can bring the family, have a great pizza, drink some great beer, and hang out upstairs playing games. What a great concept. The restaurant just celebrated its 1st anniversary on November 2nd and I hope it is around for many, many more years.

They're not open. Watch out. Their website will allow you to order and it will charge your card. I waited outside for 20 mins and a guy washing the windows told me they're closed. They even texted me it was ready. lol. I hope they will reverse the charge, it they can't reverse my time sitting out front.

It's a brewery so if you come for the beer, you're good. They also have pizza but it's nothing too great. I like to have some things stand out either the crust or the sauce or the toppings and it just didn't deliver. I also order ed a house salad. I thought the salad was pretty good for a basic house salad. Surprisingly, they have a "no regerts" pizza and it's basically a cauliflower crust pizza and this one probably has to be the star because it is just cauliflower pizza with the house salad on top of it, but they drizzle it with a vinaigrette that brings the whole thing together. I see it is something that'll fill you up, but it's still very light, refreshing and has an acidity to it. there's also an upstairs arcade. We were not explained how that works, but we asked about it and they said it's open and we went up there and there's no one up there. Some of the machines weren't even plugged in some of them were broken. Actually a lot of the stuff up there was pretty banged up, but it was very chill. It would be a nice place to spend some time in. It appears it gets booked a lot for private parties, seems like a really good place to have a gathering. They have bathrooms downstairs, but they are one per room so sometimes there's a line. I only visited the women's bathroom and it was very clean.

We love this place! The food is delicious, the drink are cold and the staff is friendly. There is an upstairs that has tons of arcade games to play, when we bring the kids they love to go and play while we wait on our food to be cooked. It is a nice, open space with ample seating and great for a group of friends to meet up and enjoy a nice dinner.

Very Fun place!! Beer was fantastic with lots of different choices of craft tastes. Brick oven pizza was delicious and the service was fast and very courteous. I did not know that the entire upstairs was full of video games and pinball machines - I had more fun than my kids. Thanks for bringing a great business to Cleburne!

The food is great. The craft beers are great. I wish they would bring back the pasta dishes. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Atmosphere is nice and open with plenty of bar seats as well as communal high tops and standalone tables. Nice outdoor patio when Texas weather permits! Tried a couple of their beers: Miso Smooth (Japanese rice lager - 5.5% ABV) and Soul Fire Ultra Light (American Light Lager - 3.7 ABV / 15 IBU). Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. All-in-all a great impulse decision after The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ line ended up being far too long to wait in!

The band was great though. Very nice 3 piece playing Hendrix and Stevie Ray. My server was Emeline and was helpful with my menu choices. Food and Bock style beer was good. The green beans needed to be cooked longer as they were a bit firm. Price was reasonable $25 with beer. The venue, scratch kitchen and band made this a good deal I thought.

So first the service was not great and the menu is pretty limited not what I remember from my first visit, I checked it out and the Rowlett location has a bigger and better menu not sure why every location would have the same menu. My friend did all like what they ordered and their food looked good too. I also had a couple beers that were both good but I was disappointed to see that they didn't have any stouts or porters on draft this time if year. The trivia night was pretty fun though we all enjoyed it and will consider going again

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.
