First I want to start off with the ambiance and drinks were amazing. I would totally come back for that and the staff was awesome. Our food however was not what we expected. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and my fiancé had the mango habanero wings. The cheesesteak was not temperature hot and the meat was very bland. The wings were ok but the sauce had more of a tart/citrus taste than it did mango. We did not taste the spice behind it. This will not deter us from trying again because like I said drinks, staff, ambiance were really great! It might have just not been out night for the kitchen. We will be back! read more

Might be a little hard to find, as it's a block off the square, but it was worth it. I know they have beer, and therefore I suspect wine, but reading other reviews I see Bloody Marys. Interesting. So for something a little different, Bob's is pretty cool. Looking forward to trying it again. I wonder if they ever have music on that stage (out back)? Called two weeks in advance for reservations with a party of 8. We get there look at the menu go to the bar to place our order. In the middle of us placing it the cook comes out...he was asked by a guest how his day was going since he was staring at us. He says " I've be here 10hrs and these kids don't know how to communicate; if y'all want food yall better hurry up and order because I'm leaving at 7 and idc if they fire me." So of course we left because one why are you speaking to paying customers like that and two we don't him cooking our food now. I really really want to enjoy coming here but both times the bartenders are slow to wait on us, not a welcoming "Hi how are ya" to be found and forget a thanks. I used to bartend so I get being "in the zone" and I don't need over fluffy fake nice but a little goes a long way. Came for a burger on a Tuesday lunch. Never been here before so didn't realize it's order & pay for everything at the bar, then find a seat. Maybe 3 tables inside and the rest are from or back patio. Ordered Armadillo eggs -"We're out." Ordered bacon wrapped jalepenos- "We're out." No suggestion for alternatives even though I did want an appetizer. She just continued with all the things they were out of-no smile, not apologies. Just got a burger and was confused by the names of the sides/fries and she seemed annoyed to have to explain. Filthy and poor service. Asked server to clean the table she never did so we changed tables. Watched a guy drop his cleaning cloth in the dirt and then use it on tables. Started looking and saw the fans were disgusting and blowing filth over everything. Makes you think about the kitchen. Health board needs to check this place out. Service was horrible. If you go to Bobs off the Square in Granbury be advised that the bar stool seats are not worth the money. Bar line is constant and views of stage will be blocked. In fact, the owner was one who was blocking the view. I complained and they moved our seats and gave us chips and salsa, but I do not believe as a business owner that you should be drinking at your business establishment. I will not attend another event there or patronize this establishment again. read more

Looking for a spot to relax and good food? This is it. Outside is much larger than you realize as you walk in. Our first time we just sat at the tiny bar and ordered burgers and beer. Then realized how large the outside was, with a live band. We've been back to sit outside and enjoy the space. They do allow well behaved dogs outside, which we always love. read more

When we arrived on a Thursday night, the table we reserved had been taken (we are very understanding and did not hesitate to take the table and chairs on the uneven dirt) after apologizing many times the staff gave us 15% off our total ticket. However after seeing the incorrect charge on my bank statement, I called the restaurant & the bartender gave herself another tip, which was was $40 on MY card. Upon entering, the bar area is *tiny*...although no one else was in the room we weren't greeted by either of the workers (bartenders?) who were both training someone and paying much more attention to them than us. I ordered a margarita rocks and cheese curds. I was quite disappointed to see they used a MIX for the marg and it was a cheap one at that. It tasted mostly like sugar and if I'd thought anyone would care, I would have asked for a real one. The curds were fine. Decent bar food. The patio (and only seating area was nice, but it had been raining so seating was limited. Again, there weren't many people there so it was ok. After I got my food we never saw a worker at all...so if we'd wanted another drink, we'd have had to go in. Like I said, could have been so much better. read more

We drove from Dallas to Granbury to see Prophets & Outlaws at Bob's off the Square. Initially, we were disappointed to see that they were sold out online for the concert. After we contacted them, Crystal, the GM, promptly responded and after her efforts, we were able to get a table for 4. We had a blast all night! Austin was our server and kept up with our table for the entire time. Shortly after we arrived, Crystal personally greeted us at our table and thanked us for driving out! I really want to like this place (the duck wings and burgers ARE pretty darn good!), but today was the THIRD time I've visited and been COMPLETELY IGNORED. The pattern has always been the same: you start with several minutes of being ignored at the door before finally being given a menu and told to pick a table in the back. You take your seat and look over the menu; the appetizers look great! Maybe you'll order a drink first and think things over... 5 minutes pass (no biggie!)... 10 minutes (huh, that's a bit long to not be greeted)...15 minutes (OK, this is excessive!). You can see that the restaurant isn't particularly busy, and you can see servers bringing bar drinks to other tables. Why is no one even acknowledging your presence!? Was it something you said? Is it your face? Did you give an unintentionally rude look to the bartender when you were waiting at the door? No, surely not! You're a polite customer who never complains and always tips well! Yet...you feel invisible. You feel unwanted. And you feel unwelcome. So you get up and quietly leave to eat somewhere that actually wants your business. How much does it cost to simply acknowledge someone and say "sorry for the wait, we'll be right with you"? Apparently, it costs too much for Bob's. read more

I instantly fell in love with Bob's back patio area, my server Courtney and server-in-training Statia, have been super sweet & helpful with food and beer recommendations. My tater kegs turned out delicious (definitely going to crave them when I get back home!) and my Revolver Blood & Honey is really hitting the spot on this humid day! French dip wasn't really all that. The meat was thin and was lacking on flavor except for the dip, it was good. Place is small with limited parking. No need for a revisit. Heard live music coming from back of Bobs and we decided to give it a try. We walked to the back porch area to where the stage was and listened a qhike to a pretty good trio band. Looked around for a waitress and found out from a customer sitting next to us that you have to order at the bar located in the entrance. There were only two ladies working, and the tanned brunette appeared to be training the other lady. Im sure they were very busy but they never smiled and made very little eye contact. This place would probably do much better if they hired at least one wait staff to work the patio area. My guest and i ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Not bad, not good but not worth 14 bucks. The patio and stage area appears to be a free for all as we could barely find a way to get out. We enjoyed the music and will come back and try something different to eat next time. Good location, good vibe, good music but needs better service and organization. read more
