Super excited this place opened, and it was definitely worth the wait! Their coffee is really good, as well as their pastries and breads. The mocha and the lavender breve are both delicious and unique. The location is wonderful with lots of street parking and a ton of indoor/outdoor seating. The building renovation itself is gorgeous and well decorated--its such a big step up from the Chinese restaurant that used to be there. For a place that just opened they seemed to have their stuff all together! The staff were all friendly and super helpful. I have yet to try their food but it looks equally amazing as their coffee. I thought coffee bar and Mediterranean food was an odd combination, but they do both things really well so it definitely works. Can't wait to come back for the food and to bring friends. This is the best place to hit Burbank in a long time. Everything I've had here is delicious, from the kabobs to the salads. The chicken and salmon have been cooked perfectly every time I've been here. My favorite is the Mediterranean salad with white meat chicken and babaganoush on the side. The dressing is amazing. This restaurant gets solid marks for food and the sincere efforts of the staff. But seriously, did anyone at Sotta double-check the noise level? It's like a concrete box where every media exec's exclamation (near Disney), dish and bar clatter is amplified. You end up screaming across the table, like many an entertainment negotiation. It's exhausting. Too bad because it's great to have a good Mediterranean choice in the neighborhood, but unfortunate to struggle against an unrelenting decibel level. read more

I'm not a food critic. But i am critical of food in Los Angeles. Is it overpriced? Hows the staff? Atmosphere? Living near the burbank downtown area i have seen restaurants that suck come and go, restaurants i like come and go. In the instance of Sotta i genuinely hope they never leave. The food is love. I like how they have quality desserts from Pitchoun Bakery, beer and wine, and a good and healthy selection of menu items. The first night we ate there one of the owners chatted with us and was receptive to any suggestions we had. We been back a number of times for take out and dine in. We ordered delivery from Sotta and it was outstanding! We had the salmon, hummous, sabziri salad, tzaziki and everything was fabulous! We have had these items from other restaurants, but they were better at Sotta. We did get the extra salmon and we would encourage you to do the same if you are sharing an order. Be careful if you have allergies​! I placed an order for a salmon with salad. This is my first time ordering a ​salad with their meals and it came with the salmon served on top of the pita bread. I've ordered their food all the time but their pita always used to come in a plastic bag that I would normally give back to the girl at the counter. I have a wheat allergy so I couldn't eat it, they would have to make a new one. They didn't make a new one instead they placed the old fish on the new plate. I had to reorder the thing and the manager came over and said that this is my fault because I ordered wrong and that his people have to make a new piece of fish! Extremely rude! If I could eat the fish I would have, it's not a great PR move to blame your customers and their allergies. Won't be going back again. They have tasty food but I wonder how many people they've made sick because of their recycled food. read more

We had such a great experience here! Not only was the food delicious (we got the boneless chicken kabob), but the customer service was out of this world! We ordered hummus as our side, and Mike, the manager there, personally informed us that they had sold out, and needed to make more, then asked if we would like to wait 10 minutes. We said yes, and the hummus arrived later, as promised. Mike also gave us some complimentary hummus and pita togo for the inconvenience. We didn't ask for it, but he just went above and beyond to make us happy. We will definitely come back for the great food, great atmosphere, and even greater service! read more

I called to place an order over the phone and as I was placing my order I decided to dine-in instead of getting it to go. I arrived and paid for my meal. I told the young lady I had placed an order over the phone but was going to dine-in, everything seem pleasing until 30 minutes went by and everyone around me was getting their food except for me. I decided to go to the counter and ask if my food was almost out since I was on my lunch and only had a couple of minutes left. I went back to my table and see the manager walking towards me (well I assumed he was the manager since he was the only one wearing a black shirt instead of green) as he approached my table with out introducing himself to me he immediately said all orders over the phone are only to go, but he was going to plate it for me this one time, but for future phone orders I had to take my food to go. He made it seem as if it was my fault my food was forgotten and it had been sitting in the counter for the passed 30 minutes only because I placed my order over the phone. He was very rude, unprofessional, with no customer service. Never was I told on the phone or once I paid all phone orders were to go. Honestly I would have completely understood and would not be writing this bad review if he was honest and accepted it was their fault. A simple apology would had done it for me, I understand it was rush hour and we all do mistakes. Good customer service would have made a difference. read more
