He showed up on time and is a very personable guy. Jack quickly diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher (was not draining after a cleaning cycle) as caused by improper installation of a garbage disposal by my tenants. The problem was fixed without the need of any additional parts; just needed to correct the garbage disposal issue. Then I asked Jack to take a look at my oven door as it was not closing/seating all the way shut. After removing the door there was the possibility the oven door needed new hinges. After reinstalling the door, the problem was fixed as the issue seemingly was simply misaligned hinges. I found Jack to be refreshingly knowledgeable and professional. And his fees are more than reasonable for the services rendered. These days it is a challenge to find competent, professional and honest contractors. I would like to express how impressed I am with Mike from TX Elite. Not only did he help my wife…read moreand me with our issue, but he was also extremely helpful and courteous throughout the whole process. Our freestanding oven stopped heating on both the cooktop and oven sections. My wife called TX Elite and spoke with Mike, and he walked her through checking the breakers and troubleshooting the problem as much as possible over the phone. He initially determined it was likely the control board. Upon further inspection, I found that the electrical plug on the oven wasn't tightened down fully and was arcing when turned on. I fixed the issue right away and the oven started working again. We sent Mike pictures of what we found, and he called us back immediately to make sure the repair was done correctly. He didn't charge us anything since he hadn't come out to the house, which we truly appreciated. His knowledge and experience even just over the phone were top notch.
