Terrible customer service, lady would not even let me tell what was wrong! I would never go back.

Today was the second time and last time using this place. It is a convenient location and turnaround time is fast however the customer service is absolutely rude. The old guy at least acknowledges my presence but the scraggly crack head belongs in the back. I just needed a tune-up for my mower which cost about $50. My mower ran strong and started on the first pull. When I picked it up I asked her to start it and she said to take it outside. It did not start and I asked her what did you do to my mower? It worked fine when I brought it in. She got loud and argumentative and did not care to remedy the situation. I will not be back and drive farther to avoid this place. read more

I am on the fence about Blanco Fixit. On one hand they try really hard, are super responsive, really nice, and well located. On the other hand, they are limited on the types of small engines they service (lawn mowers only) and even the brands they can fix (only certain makes are serviceable there). My story is that they put in a good faith effort to try and fix what apparently is a difficult mechanical setup on my mower (mower is one brand, engine is another, and the whole setup is industrial). However, they kept having me come back to fix it only to never fix it. Ironic when you look at their name... Anyway, they finally admitted that my mower engine was beyond what they could work on and gave me a good option for repair, which I appreciated. Overall, my take home is go here if you have a very simple, light grade mower. Anything else, look elsewhere. Also, they really need to quit smoking in the shop (and quit smoking in general), but that is just a personal preference thing, but it is pretty unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Called out of the blue for a fairly random part - described the part on the phone - drove down and picked it up a few minutes later. Fabulous - and beats waiting on the mailman for delivery from that online place named for a giant river in South America. No debit or credit cards - so plan ahead. read more

Awesome place. My lawnmower wouldn't start after the winter, so I brought it in asking them to take a look, and to also check to see if the blade needed to be sharpened. A few days later they called back saying they had fixed it and that the blade didn't need to be sharpened (so no charge for that). They explained that the gas had gone bad in my machine and they had to do a carburetor flush, and told me I could avoid this issue by using ethanol free gasoline. They spent 15 minutes with me walking me through best practices for maintaining my lawnmower, plus they only charged like $25 for the work. They were SO honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and AFFORDABLE. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They could've easily told me they sharpened my blade and charged me for it since they knew I didn't know anything about mowers. It's hard to find good people like this. read more

Yes they to stop smoking indoors. Its not wise for their health or the health of their customers. But this couple knows how to fix a lawnmower. This is a great lawn mower fix-it shop. Local owners working pretty much on household, not commercial, lawn mowers. Terry was nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Big thing with me is I felt they do not overcharge or do unnecessary work. I plan to use them for tune-ups and any problems that arise. You can be confident you'll get your money's worth. read more

but careful!! we took our two lawn mowers to get tuned up & neither worked when we got them home. so we took them to another fixit shop and the newer one didnt have a motor at all. they were able to fix the older one, we were told nothing had been done to the older one. read more

Dropped our lawn mower off on Saturday and it was done by Monday, and only cost us $21. Totally worth it, especially considering my husband had spent two weeks trying to "fix it" himself. Also I thought they were very knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. read more

They repaired my Craftsman mower in less than a week. They also provided me with a detailed list of the parts required to fix my mower. They answered the phone every time I called to ask a question and they were courteous in every encounter. read more

I had been going for awhile and then stopped. The guy was always nice but the last time I went to have my lawnmower serviced I got charged $53.03 for a tune up. Well when I got home tried it and didn't want to turn on so called and the lady (if that's what you want to call her). It worked fine just wanted a tune up before I took it in. So I take it back and everything she says she can't help me get out I was speaking to her nice. I kept explaining it worked fine before she was rude. I suffer from PTSD unfortunately so I always treat people with respect. She argued with my 15 year old daughter which is a very good girl. She called my daughter a hussy. The only hussy I saw was that crack head lady. Not being nice anymore. I took my lawnmower down the street from them no charge and all they had to do was move a leaver. I had paid all that money with no help. He use to be super nice as can be. I don't know what happened. Like I said the man was always nice but she always had a problem. This is not my idea of business--I plan to avoid this place in future. I called--I just needed a gasket, wanted to make sure that they had the correct one--the man said that they did--asked how much--"couple bucks". So, I drove there--that's time and fuel--the woman behind the counter is smoking, in a gasoline filled environment, there are mowers with gas in them lined up next to where we are standing--OK, it's her shop and her life, altho I think that is a violation of the city safety codes, and it's surely NOT good common sense--she says that they are not selling their gaskets individually, they need to keep their inventory for repairs, she will only sell me the "kit", with all of the carburetor repair parts in it--$20.00--and it's not subject to discussion--I felt like I was being bumped up on the sale, so I left, with no gasket--wasted trip. If they had said this before I went there, I would not have gone. Got the gasket for $2.20 at another shop--they lost a sale and a future customer-- read more

Called them, discussed my mower problem, and arranged to bring mower in for repair. When I got to the place, the old lady said, "uh-oh, we only work on American made equipment". She did not mention this while on the phone with me, and did not apologize for making me take a long drive for nothing. read more
