I called on 19 March 2025 to get my mower blades sharpened. I was quoted $5 a blade to get them sharpened. When I arrived, I had him recount the blades; I had 31 instead of 30. He said he would not charge for the extra blade, although I was willing to pay. They wanted the money upfront, which differed from the businesses I typically deal with. I spent the $150 ($120 in cash and $30 on my card). After I paid, he said finishing them would take an hour. I received a call shortly after leaving that the blades were ready. When I returned to this young man's shop, I looked at the blades and was very disappointed. Once I told him these were not sharp, as i was rubbing my finger up and down the blade in front of him, he came up with multiple reasons why. One of the excuses was a safety issue, which made no sense since only a handful of blades had been sharpened before. I requested my money back, and he said no, then offered to sharpen them and return them to me on Saturday, 22 March. To that, I replied "is this the best you can do"; he tried to avoid the question so I asked him again. Once he said it was, I told him I wouldn't be wasting any more of my time or money on him and to expect this Google review. After I posted my initial review (yes, this is the second), he replied and said everything was a lie, attempting to discredit the review. Upon reading his reply, I texted him to tell him that libel is actual. He refused to tell the truth, and I added to my review, which, at the time, I didn't know businesses could delete Google reviews if edited. It mysteriously disappeared once I edited the review to reply to his statements. He claimed to have a video of sharpening 31 blades in less than an hour. My recommendation is for him to post the video he claims to have of him sharpening the blades. This company is unethical, has no integrity, and has shown they do not know how to sharpen mower blades. The rest of the review I left on 24 Mar 2025 is below: After reading his response to my review and doing a quick Google search, I uncovered additional reviews on Yelp that echo my concerns. His reply reveals a disturbing lack of accountability. He appears unethical, unprofessional, and profoundly uninformed about sharpening mower blades. He boasts about having a video that demonstrates his process, so I challenge him to share it. This would showcase his supposed skills and serve as an effective advertisement for his services. Out of the 31 blades he claims to have sharpened, not one is even remotely usable. Before leaving, I documented several of these blades in pictures (which I have previously shared), and I will include more below. Not a single blade has an edge; instead, he carelessly ground the wrong side to give the illusion of having done something. Before, he claimed that he had never seen any of these blades; this is about $1000 in mower blades in the box accumulated over 3 years. I am a rational person, and my company is too. To that, no one I know will utilize their time to get or find 31 (EGO) blades and post pictures of sub-par craftsmanship of a company they have never heard of before. So, to help him out just a little, I live in a very rocky area, and this is 3 years of blades. Out of the 31 blades, eight had been previously sharpened. So, immediately after looking at these blades, I knew they weren't sharpened correctly. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and as you can see, there are no safety issues. As a veteran with experience working alongside many businesses and individuals, I would be very cautious. After I posted my honest and factual review, he resorted to lies, attacked my character, and displayed an utter lack of integrity. This behavior is unacceptable. It's a wake-up call for him to reflect on his actions and improve his business practices.

I should have been more skeptical of Ryobi instead- Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised with Big T.

I've been a customer of Comfort-Air Engineering & Primo Plumbing for over five years, but my recent…read moreexperience has been unacceptable. The company double-billed me for the same AC service, an invoice I had already paid, and has ignored three months of my calls and emails seeking clarification about the second charge. I continue to receive automated invoices without any explanation of the duplicate billing or the work supposedly performed. Even worse, an employee reached out to me in an email, falsely claiming that I was trying to hold them "financially responsible" for things outside of their control simply because I asked a question about the work performed. This was especially troubling since the dispatcher had already confirmed it was the same issue being repaired a second time. Neither management nor the owner (who had been personally introduced to me) has ever responded. This company's unprofessionalism, billing errors, and disregard for customers are appalling. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now evaluating whether to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies to prevent others from being treated the same way. It's sad to see a business I've supported for years fail to provide simple explanations and treat loyal customers this poorly. All trust has been lost. Response to the Company's response: I appreciate the company's reply, but it unfortunately confirms the very issue I described. For three months, I asked for clarification on why I was billed twice for the same unresolved problem, a matter your own dispatcher acknowledged was the same service being revisited, not a new one. That's why I reached out for clarification, as anyone would after receiving a second bill by surprise that was said to be for the same work. The repair was only completed successfully on the second visit, which is when payment should reasonably apply. The problem has since been resolved with no further issues, confirming that the first visit was not a completed job, something also acknowledged by the dispatcher. Despite repeated outreach, no one ever explained this or provided details of what was done on that second visit; I only received another invoice. After being ignored for months, I ultimately paid the second bill under threat of collections, not because the situation was ever clarified. The owner's follow-up came only after I posted this review, and even then, my questions about billing and communication were not addressed. I've been a customer for over five years and have always paid promptly once a repair was completed. My only request was transparency. It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging that, the company continues to deflect responsibility rather than address the lack of communication and customer care that led to this situation. I'm not looking to escalate this any further; I simply wanted the company to understand how this came across from a long-time customer's perspective. I genuinely hope you take this as constructive feedback. In my experience, clear communication and follow-through make all the difference in maintaining trust and long-term relationships. Disacknowledgement only leads to a loss of trust, and in this case, confirms it.

They fixed it fast and charged me UNDER $270!! On a Friday evvening at 7 pm. when tech arrived. That's amazing. He also figured out how to unclog the downstairs sink which drained slow. No one else could figure it out cause it's copper pipes that are an odd configuration. Another time he sold me an air conditioner for about $9,000 less than others would have charged. He said it was an older model he had. It works fantastic as the house is older. Perfect match. I'm not saying they're perfect. But I've dealt with other plumbing companies who tried to charge me $10,000 for a problem they fixed for $300. HONEST is freaking hard to find.

Of course this came to a head a little after 5:30 pm when you would think all the service techs would have called it a day. I posted my emergency on Yelp, and Jason replied within a minute to ask a few questions and let me know he could be here within the hour. He made it here in 30 minutes. This is the service of yesteryear when it meant something to commit to the very best. Jason explained thoroughly how these breakers can take a turn and fail when not properly maintained. (In our case we had some screws that were loose, causing the intermittent flow to tax the breaker) We had used our home warranty service to have an AC guy look at the problem previously (before the breaker completely failed) and he had completely misdiagnosed the problem. Beware using "home shield" vendors, as they are paid very little and will fit the repair with what profits them the most! It was quite a fiasco until NES came out and solved it in a snap.
