Door doesn't even close in room 10
Cindy H.

Came here for the at 2:20pm. Rate is $15 per person until 8pm. The place is ghetto, the front desk looks like high schoolers operated desk. Plain thin desk with laptop. We were in room 10. The room had cigarettes smell but is was clean. The door doesn't fully shut. There was English, Chinese, korean and Spanish songs. Decent amount of English library. There was no attendants. Guess it is okay if you bring your own drinks and snacks in.

I was there during Happy Hour on Sunday. Service is extremely bad, place is super dirty, very disappointed. Price: On website, it's showing $11.99 for 2 drinks. My friend called to make reservation, the person on the phone confirmed the price is $11.99 but only with 1 drink. When we got there, they said it's $15 including tax and "cleaning fee" excluding tips. Time: On website, it's showing Happy Hour is 2pm-8pm. On the phone the person said it's 3pm-8pm. When we were there, the lady came to give our bill at around 6:45pm and said we need to leave before 7:30pm because they need to clean the room so people who made reservation at 8pm can use it right at 8... Environment: The place smells. It smells like cigarette plus puke. Room is not clean. There are balloons and other stuff left behind from the people before us. The washroom is extremely dirty. One washroom stall is broken and leaning inward, door is gone and the stall looks like it's about fall anytime soon. All stalls but the broken one have no toilet paper. One sink is clogged and it looks like the water is about to overflow. Drinks: When we ordered drinks, they said they can give us two pitchers instead because they don't have enough glasses...we asked how do we drink from the pitcher then? They said they will provide the disposable cups. When the first pitcher came, it's only three quarter, because we order hot drink. The second one is more because we ordered cold drink and there's ice. Both drinks were watered down as well. Overall Experience: I will never go back again and definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. As a matter of fact I will tell anyone that's looking for a karaoke place to stay as far away from this place as possible.

We went for this super comforting meal @scaddabush on Boxing day and can't stop thinking about…read moretheir chocolate panettone bread pudding since! The toasty bread was perfect for the snowy weather, toffee caramel drizzle wasn't too much, and the candied walnuts was a genius addition. We always get their kale salad and gigantic meatball spaghetti with an extra meatball whenever we go, this time was no exception. We've also ordered their limited time festive blood orange and cranberry bellini. It was a tasty punch; just too bad the glitter sank to the bottom, or it would have made a better photo. I was a bit disappointed because I asked specifically which of the Christmas cocktails looked prettier, and was told the glitter makes it really festive. Later in conversation the server said the liquid glitter sinks to the bottom so customers can only see the glitter when the drink is almost finished. So I suppose it was known to the staff. Service was great, server apologized for the long wait for the cocktail, and explained the bartender had to make 20 cocktails for a large party, hence the wait.

We picked this restaurant for a team dinner. There were about 15-16 people in the group. We made…read morereservation few day prior to ensure the availability. Upon arrival, we were promptly taken to our giant long table. I was also very impressed by the interior of the restaurant. It was appeared like farmhouse setup, with wooden frame and arches, brick walls and a big size bar. I got to try some of the hand stretched mozzarella dishes like naked. It came with butter toasted bread and sea salt. The mozzarella was so delicious, such good quality. I kept eating it until the entree arrived. I got the Mediterranean salmon for entree. The fish was cooked excellently. Moist in the middle. But some of the ingredients, especially the white beans didn't go well with the salmon. I left of it in the plate, just ate the fish and the spinach. I ordered the pineapple mango (spirit free) drink. Loved the flavor of it. Our server was such a champion. He handled this huge group of diners with ease, took everyone's drinks, appetizers and entree orders correctly, not a single error. Several other staff members helped him out with serving and cleaning out empty plates. Overall we had a wonderful dinner together here.

I visited the Moxies Bar and Grill in Richmond Hill for a company Xmas dinner…read more Our group was seated in the heated and enclosed patio area. There were a team of dedicated servers helping our table. The server was knowledgeable with the wine list and provided her recommendations for white wine. I ended up ordering the Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc. It was dry white wine with some fruity notes. I'm not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed it. We had a set menu which included a small appetizer soup or caesar salad. I ordered the coconut chicken soup and it was a delight. The soup was definitely Thai influenced and the bamboo shoots, chicken and coconut was a perfect medley of ingredients. It was almost like a green curry. We also ordered beef nachos, crispy calamari and goat cheese and bread dip. All the appetizers were pretty good no complaints here. I ordered the Chipotle mango chicken based on my positive experience before. I must say the dish was really good but the one I had in Moxies Pickering was outstanding. The chicken lacked the deep grill charred marks and was not piping hot. Usually the plates are really hot when they are brought out. The plate was only warm to the touch. The bite of white chocolate brownie was decadent and was great finale for our meal. I ordered a cappuccino to cap off the meal. One critique would be the lack of refilling the waters on our table. The restaurant definitely had an attractive crowd and people were happy and enjoying their drinks and food. It was a little bit difficult to talk inside as the sound insulation in the patio was poor. Overall, the service was pretty attentive and friendly. I would recommend making a reservation if you are coming in a large group. Thank you Moxies for great evening.

In addition to…read morethe salad and crispy chicken we added a order of: Spring Rolls - love the way they come in little rolls as opposed to 2 large ones cut in half; perfectly crispy Bone Marrow Carbonara - unfortunately this was a miss. I found it funny cause almost every item has the "favourite" symbol but everything tastes good! I love the decor inside. Lots of lights, florals and greenery. There is limited seating though since it gets busy - Maybe 10 tables of 4 on the outside perimeter and another 5 tables of 4 on the inside. We got the razor clams, 12 wings and beer special (after 8:30pm), smoked beet and pig ear salad, brisket and ribs and bun bo hue. The 12 wings and beer would have been such a good deal except the drink was pretty watered down. We brought it up to the waitress so hopefully they change that in the future. The wings were crispy,m and delicious. The razor clams tasted good too, but it only comes with 4. The smoked beet and pig eat salad was one of our favourites! Unique, flavourful and good crunchy textured. The brisket and ribs were another favourite. Tender and flavourful. The bun bo hue was good too. Service could have been better. One of the waiters wasn't that friendly. We still had a good time though and enjoyed the food. I would come back to try their other dishes.
