a friend recommended this place to me because that it where she bought her car stereo and installation. after i purchased the stereo and had it installed i got home and I realized they hadn't given me the manual so i couldn't figure out how to set it. I went online to jvc and saw that every car stereo they had came with a remote control. I called JVC and asked them if there was any way my model would be sold without a remote and they said no. so i went back to Electra and they gave me some bs about how they must have thrown it out with the box. well my friend also did not get a remote for the same model so he is a liar and a cheat. also my dashboard was very loose and so i asked him to put it back the way it was when i came in and he wanted to charge me. stay away and find a reputable dealer to by your car stereo read more

Shady Shady Shady....No warranty after you walk out the door regardless of what they tell you, it will always be denied for "customer abuse". crap installs in the parking lot by guys who are not MECP certified installers. Hack jobs I think is the technical term. Questionable "counterfeit merchandise". Definitely not the type of place you would bring your woman or kids to. I went to purchase a DVD player 10/12/14 that was in the penny saver, I came home and it wouldn't even turn on with or without the remote. In my belief they are a branch of the ACTUAL store SOS Electronic down the street on 7th and Central which I've never had any problems with, furthermore I will be taking this DVD player back to their store leaving it right there. I would like to share my story. i wanted a little more sound in my 2011 Prius. The sales man Raul was a great help. he showed my a few options on how to add more sound without changing the deck and adding two amplifiers. After listening to his choices I went with Cerwin Vega all around a 5 channel amp and (1) 12 inch Cerwin Vega woofer using the factory radio. This change did not effect the look of the car. Puuling up along side of me you would never know i had bass. Thanks sos i drive 1000 miles a week and the add sounds makes my day better. I would send more people to see you guys. read more

I went here and for my nissan altima sound system to add base and get hooked up. Raul hooked me up on a nice cerwin Vega sound system with two 12" and an 1500 watts amp. my car bumps and I recommend there work. they also gave me a life time warranty on there work. read more

worst service ever, i went in to get car speakers installed it took so long the guys installing it were just sitiing inside of my car chatting it up and when they finally got back to work they would stop to talk to the local homeless that would pass by and once again not work for another 10-20 min. the guys installing my stereo ended up uninstalling a kill switch i already had on when i specifically instructed him not to and began to argue with me. moving on to the sales floor, i was greeted nicely and thought that i was getting a great brand as i had requested but, the amp i bought was too big for my car, the guy had inspected my car prior to me purchasing the amp had told me the amp he was selling me was the best for my car when i went back because it did not fit in my car he said yea you should've gotten this one i looked at him with disbelief because he was the one who specifically told me to get the incorrect one in the first place. i did notice that he smelled like marijuana and the back of the desk gave me a hint of it also. i had to pay more for this new amp and when everything was done and installed i had to come back the next day because they had messed up my door panel my window did not go up anymore, they left a mess in my car and once again made me waste time installing something that should have been done in the first place correctly. i spoke to the manager and demanded a refund on the labor given all that i had gone through he told me it was not possible because he repaired the damage done i was shocked he did not at least offer a discount or something since i have been a coustomer for about 4 years now. this had done it for me i had let the dirty mess go that they leave every time i go and the rudeness of the workers and the unprofessional work environment smelling like weed and having an unsanitary exterior where they work on your vehicles. Boy Oh BOY! I went here to have an aftermarket stereo (Pioneer Double Din) in my 2005 Mercedes s500. I was told that on this particular vehicle, that the battery drains after installing the stereo... I told them forget it, I'll return the purchase and go elsewhere. Then they told me to hold on while they made calls to figure out how it's done. They stated they now know how it's done, so i let them proceed. Stereo sounds great, but my it drained my battery anyway. I bought a new battery ($400), only to have it drain again, again & again... I replaced the battery under the warranty... Went back to SOS, and now they claim they never told me that they figured out how to install without the battery draining... I didn't fight much with them, as they'd more than likely screw more shyt up if allowed to open it up again... Just so unprofessional... I'm sitting with Paul now at Al & Eds on La Cienega...
