VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE -- BE CAREFUL BEFORE SIGNING!…read more If I could give SpaceManager zero stars, I absolutely would. The only positive part of our experience was the designer, who deserves five stars for her professionalism, creativity, and the excellent 3D design she prepared for us. Unfortunately, the company's management and business practices were a completely different story. The designer came to our home, spent time understanding our needs, and created a beautiful 3D closet design. We were initially very impressed and seriously considered moving forward with the company. However, when it came to pricing, we were offered a 30% manager's discount, which we agreed to consider. Before signing the final agreement, we carefully reviewed the proposal and discovered numerous errors and items that had been removed or cut from our original design. This was extremely disappointing because the proposal did not reflect what we had discussed and expected. The advertised 30% discount meant very little when items were being removed from the project. My biggest concern is transparency and trust. A discount should be a genuine discount, not something that distracts customers from missing items, changes to the design, or errors in the proposal. Thankfully, we reviewed everything carefully before committing further. My advice to anyone considering SpaceManager is to read every single detail of the contract and make sure every item you discussed is clearly included in writing before signing or making any payment. We were also very disappointed with the manager's attitude. Instead of handling our concerns professionally and respectfully, we found him rude and difficult to communicate with. The way our concerns were handled completely damaged our confidence in the company. We ultimately decided not to move forward because we no longer felt comfortable trusting the company with our project. It is such a shame because the designer was excellent, but a good designer cannot make up for poor management, a lack of transparency, and an unpleasant customer experience. My recommendation: Be extremely careful, double-check your proposal, confirm every detail, and do not let a big discount pressure you into signing. For us, trust is everything, and unfortunately, SpaceManager failed to earn ours. The designer gets 5 stars from me. The management and overall company experience get 0 stars. I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

The company got back to me in a timely manner, and was able to send someone to come to our home on…read morea Saturday morning. The free in-home consultation was great! The consultant Diana understood our ideas and saw the vision that we had for our wardrobe unit. She was able to measure everything, and render a drawing right away. Being able to have a professional visit our home, was an important factor to us (in comparison to being in a store, and talking to an associate). Her suggestions about the trim and design were helpful to our exact specifications. She helped to set our expectations on the look of the wardrobe and the price of it. Everything was handled professionally from the contracts, deposits, and scheduling the install dates. When it was finally time for installation, the workers arrived on schedule, and they were young. They worked quickly, but they were not very careful. They did not show me the service agreement until after they packed up the room, swept the room, and were done. On the agreement, it said that they were supposed to use drop cloths during the installation. When I asked them if they used drop cloths, they said they did, but I noticed from one of my pictures that they did not use use drop cloths nor did I remember them using any. Safety-wise from the same picture, the drill is on top of the cabinet above their heads -- which can be dangerous. I also told them that it seemed like they were dropping a lot of items, and I can hear them from the next room. If it wasn't for the walk-thru, they would have forgotten a box of nails, a can of paint thinner, and a rag inside the cabinets. After they left, I saw damages and scratches on the wood floor. When, my husband came home later, he saw that the pulls were not leveled. We communicated to Diana about our concerns, and the company was able to address them right away. They are sending the production manager to look over the damages, and to fix the pulls. We love our wardrobe, the quality is really nice! We love being able to organize our home with it. We would work with Houston Closet Factory again, but would request more experienced workers for the installation next time.

My wife and I combined households a few years ago, and getting everything in its place in our tiny, weird house was an albatross we carried for years. After conceding that we didn't have the time or vision to get the house in order ourselves, we found Taya and bought a package. It felt early on that her experience and dedication to each particular client elevated her work to the highest quality, and that quality is evident all over my house in organization systems that continue to work now. It's been about three months since the project was finished and my life is just better. I'm less stressed every day because everything has a place. Spaces that had no use before are maximized and utilized. Cleaning is easier. I can host comfortably now. It honestly just feels like I finally have somewhere to live again. Thanks to Taya from M&M. It's so nice to have our chaos under control thanks to Maureen and Katy Home Organizer. (Full…read moredisclosure -- I wrote this review a while back and forgot all about the well-deserved stars-- so this is a repost from an earlier date-- With all 5 stars that Maureen has earned) We were a classic case of too much stuff belonging to too many kids who have left home but are not ready to take their items with them. Maureen came to the house, developed a plan of attack, and then we began working together once a week on a different area. Because we've been in this house for a long time, items were mixed among different rooms. So, we set aside an unused bedroom for staging and sorting as we worked our way through. To avoid the "you threw out my stuff" syndrome, We texted grown kids with pictures of some of their things to find out whether or not they had any interest in keeping them. We even set aside a separate pile so my husband could salvage treasures before we hauled everything away. We worked together, sorting and packing keepsakes while we also made other useful items more readily accessible. This project brought me a sense of peace and control, something that was sorely lacking before.

Unfortunately, Susan had just had surgery and was unavailable, so I got stuck with someone named Theresa instead. Only later did I realize I was being SCAMMED. Do NOT fall for this scam!! This has been a nightmare for me. I work from home (remotely) so informed them that I would be working when the individual arrived and couldn't talk much to her due to that reason. Theresa arrived about 45 min earlier than when she was supposed to--which really inconvenienced me and was very unprofessional I felt as I was busy getting ready for the day at that time. But later I realized this was part of their scam. They keep adding more and more hours to your bill (at $72 per hour--which really adds up in the end) and Theresa moved at literally a snails pace, so ultimately they can keep billing you!! This woman was SOOOO slow!! She literally took 10 hours (I was working the whole time and honestly thought she had left long ago. I was shocked and horrified to find out she was still in my apartment!! I calculated and that would cost me $720.00!! On top of that, she only organized my bedroom closet and the kitchen--which I had not asked her to organize as I had already organized the kitchen. I had instructed her to do the master bath and laundry room which she didn't do AT ALL--but said she'd be back the following day to my horror!! This woman should enter a different line of work as she does not follow instructions and basically is a scam artist. She stayed 10 entire hours and barely accomplished anything!! I moved to Houston from Manhattan and have hired professional organizers there. This is not my first rodeo. However true professional organizers never need more than 2 hours (max 3 hrs)--and that's to organize your ENTIRE HOME!! I have no idea what Theresa was doing that entire time as I was busy working myself, but the job she did definitely DID NOT REFLECT TEN HOURS OF WORK!! When I complained to the owner Susan about these issues (and said not to send Theresa back the next day), she seemed to understand and said she would offer me a discount. Well the discount was miniscule and she has been harassing me constantly since that time to pay over $620.00 for this pathetic service!! I am horrified by the shadiness of this company and its owner Susan who appears to be very much on board with this corruption. I have had much BETTER organizers than this woman (in Manhattan), and they were WAY more efficient. I am shocked an horrified by this bill and this scam. I am warning everyone--DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!! These people are out to get your money--PERIOD!! And if you hire them, you will ultimately be billed THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in the end (unless you fire them first as I did) as this is their business model. And you won't be happy with the work as you will be paying through your nose for it--and they in no way deserve the amount they charge you Trust me, you will be clueless just as I was because they present themselves as fair and professional--until your are shocked at the end by their MASSIVE bill . Unless you're willing to pay this company the equivalent of probably an entire month's mortgage payment (or more) after only getting very AVERAGE results (and their organizing rooms you didn't ask for while ignoring those you did), do NOT HIRE these people. And now I have this woman pretty much STALKING me to pay this ridiculous bill. I will obviously pay the bill as this is my own fault for hiring this company and not doing my due diligence in advance. Stupid me--I should have insisted on a their giving me a quote in advance--which actually I did on Yelp--but Susan never given me one. Now I see why. No one would ever hire this company if they were honest about how much they intend to charge you. I know I definitely would never have hired them had I known in advance about this scam. I am a physician, so I'm not sure if this was done to me because they assumed I they could get away with billing me an exorbitant amount, but that dog won't hunt. I know fraud when I see it. And this is fraud, plain and simple. I intend to report Sunflower Strategies Organizing to the BBB and the Attorney General of TX (whom I happen to know personally). This company's fraudulent business practices and their disgusting attempts to take advantage of people by bilking them for huge amounts of money in exchange for subpar services--MUST be exposed. AND IT WILL BE!!

I didn't know how much, but it was beyond what I expected. I have had personal organizational goals but was finding some areas/things still difficult to tackle and wasn't sure how to handle them. I knew I needed to develop or figure out some kind of systems for making my space easier to clean up. Having ADHD, I knew I needed routines I could eventually turn into habits. I needed functional meets easier for me to manage. And I'm so happy I hired Clean Slate. Lisa understood my needs because she is a highly skilled professional organizer. Upon arrival Lisa had me show her my place, no judgment. She seemed to observe and make mental notes of everything and how it was organized. She gave positive feedback and examples which I needed to hear and appreciated. When we really started tackling the piles of things I wasn't sure what to do with, Lisa was a pro, quick, skilled and helped me identify categories and discard accumulated paper work, when needed would talk me throught the process and thoughts behind what to keep or not to keep. She didn't attempt to overhaul or change anything that was working for me, even if I mentioned that looking at it bothers me. Lisa gave reassurance and again explained functionality. She seemed to know what I needed. I would recommend her to others and even, when needed, hire her again.
