The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

It's tuck in a nook of a strip mall, but you will notice that the parking lot is packed. Seating has intimate small tables inside or larger tables for groups. Also, they have outside seating for those warmer days. I do suggest you make a reservation just because of the limited overall seating. I always like to start with a good calamari but what made it was the homemade sauce to dip them in. I also decided to go for the special which today was a crab cake stuff pasta. Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem in Somerset, combining great food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for a casual night out, a family gathering, or a romantic dinner. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian dishes or looking to explore new flavors, Luca's is sure to impress.

Online the restaurant is listed as BYOB. However, upon arrival we were informed that it was not BYOB, as they now had a liquor license. Okay then, please update your website. The server James was good, but not great. He failed to tell us that a salad came with the meal until after the four us had ordered soup, which was a separate charge. It was not a soup or salad choice with meal and nowhere is it listed on the menu. Lentil and a hearty chicken noodle were the soups of the day. Two of us had the lentil and two the chicken noodle. Both were served piping hot, and very tasty. The entrees were a decent portion and all were good, but not outstanding. The hot Italian Bread was very good. Usually don't find good Italian bread at many of the Italian restaurants in the area. This was an exception. Overall, I would rate it 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

The Veal Sorrentino sounded mouth watering by the ensemble cast of ingredients listed on the menu (prosciutto, eggplant, mozzarella, light marinara-white wine). Overall, this dish was very disappointing, I couldn't taste any flavor in the meal. Once again, the spaghetti from an Italian restaurant was lackluster as well, this is like ordering a wonton soup from a Chinese restaurant and it not meeting your expectations. We tried a gluten free pizza as well, my girlfriend enjoyed it. I can only describe the pizza being almost like a cracker. This is not neccessary a bad thing but think flatbread pizza, not the type of pizza where you get a nice chewy bite. At $50+ plus dollars between the two items I can say I am glad I gave it a shot but I would not bring home take out from here again, I would give it a try in person though and reevaluate after the experience. As always people SYOY!!!

The food delivered. A fresh, well-balanced salad to start along a rich lobster bisque to start. The boom boom chicken (big flavor, nicely done), and sesame-crusted salmon that was cooked just right. Service was OK...especially considering it was busy on Christmas. All in all, a very good spot worth checking out if you're looking for a comfortable, well-executed meal without the hype.

As for the food, we had quite a off experience where the appetizers were really bad so we were worried for our special dinner: aranchini was too sweet and had a weird aroma. Wedge salad was literally half a romaine with ranch dressing and some pork belly bits. HOWEVER - the main entrees were all AMAZING. We were mind blown. We had surf & turf, chicken parmesan rigatoni, scallop risotto, and miso glazed salmon. They were all spectacular! I would definitely go back and just skip appetizers Oh they also weirdly had a lot of ingredients missing that day so we couldn't order bunch of menu items or desserts but i think that was just a one time thing where they did not receive their shipment.
