We have no italian place like this in the area, you feel transported to a new place it's so cool. Tried to pop in for dinner on a Tuesday but had to sit on the patio because we didn't have a reservation. I was impressed they were that busy on a Tuesday but also a little bummed we didn't get to experience their entire menu since it's limited in the patio. But what we did try was quite delicious, we ordered the arancini, the truffle burrata, panzanella salad and the lemon pasta with chicken, everything was really really good. I loved the presentation and the service was excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back and have dinner inside the restaurant, note to self, make reservations. read more

Wow!!! First, the food is amazing. Our group started with the meatballs and focaccia. I'm not sure I will ever have a meatball this delicious again in my life until I come back here, which will be very soon. For dinner, we had the lasagna, osso buco, and bolognese. Thankfully, everyone was open to sharing, mainly because everyone was convinced they had the best dish and were trying to prove it. Turns out, we all won. I'm not sure I could say what was best, so choose your own adventure and you won't be disappointed. We had the privilege of being sat next to the open kitchen and my only regret was that I didn't order everything on the menu because all of it looked fantastic. The head chef orchestrated a smooth food service and quality controls every dish leaving the kitchen. If you are looking for a gourmet experience, this is it. Kendall Yards is lucky to have this lovely new restaurant. Sorella is authentic Italian with recipes that are passed down and traditional. As you walk inside, you are greeted by a beautiful wall of framed photos and stunning decor. Take time to soak in the details, such as the light fixtures and melted candles. Sorella didn't miss a beat with putting together their vision. The bar is so beautiful, and the barkeep has put together a unique cocktail menu with something for everyone. I even had a Prosecco that was new to me, and let's be honest, I do drink a lot of a Prosecco. The food is exciting and vibrant. The pasta is made in-house, and it shines. I absolutely loved my Limon pasta. This is a stand out dish. It is served with half a lemon all charred and ready to squeeze your desired amount of extra lemon goodness to elevate your pasta. Don't be shy and squeeze that lemon all over. The sides are not to be missed. I will highlight the carrots because they are divine. These are mouth-watering golden nuggets. So tender, they cut with a fork. Sprinkled with fresh goat cheese and macadamia nuts. I've never tasted such a perfect pairing. This dish is a large side and a great addition to any dish. I enjoyed the Burrata salad to start. I can not even describe how the flavors in this salad pop. It is light and flavorful with unique blends of mouthwatering vegetables and fresh house made cheese done so perfectly. You definitely want these flavors dancing in your mouth. The staff is just excited as you to be here. The owner, Lauren, makes her rounds and even came over to check in and say hello. The servers were friendly and efficient. They have experience, and it shows. I felt so at home during my stay. I hope y'all will make a reservation and get in here. If you can't snag one, then show up at 5pm and get a lucky spot at the bar. Finally got to try out Sorella with some friends for a Tuesday reservation. They are pretty serious about your party size and reservations including a $50 charge if you are missing your stated party, so pay attention. Not sure if they enforce that or not. Easy to park in back in the evening. We were seated promptly in middle booth right by the kitchen. The restaurant is warm and inviting, everyone a bit dressed up for the evening. Host was lovely, and the food was excellent. I don't get too excited for Italian, but this is, I would say, the best Italian available in Spokane. Excellent cocktails and a full bar with espressos. Meat balls were excellent, and the focaccia was better than I would have thought. I had the vodka pasta which was with chili, and literally the perfect amount of heat. The booth was comfortable and we never felt rushed. Service was attentive and really well pulled off. 100% an excellent 5 star Italian for Spokane. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes available as you will see in many of the reviews, and the place is just a really great comfortable spot for a fancy dinner. 5 stars Sorella! Honestly, we were pretty disappointed after dining here in mid-June. Most know that reservations for Sorella can be a bit difficult to obtain, but it seems that's mainly because the establishment preserves tables for larger groups at the expense of smaller parties. We wished to dine on a Tuesday night, and as late as Monday evening there was no problem securing a table for 3+, but a two-top wasn't available. It wasn't until Tuesday midday that it became possible to obtain a reservation for two. This seems silly for anything after 7PM, since most large midweek parties are likely to be work gatherings which would occur between 5-7PM. My point here is proven by the fact that as we dined, the restaurant was desolate after 8PM. How many parties of two ate elsewhere that night, having been unable to secure a reservation in advance? Next, was the overall presentation of the venue. Walking in the front door, we were greeted by flatware, napkins and cleaning rags lining the bench meant for patrons waiting to be seated. This was accompanied by a vacuum next to the host stand, which itself was littered with half-empty beverages being consumed by staff members. Not a great look. When ordering wine, we discovered that most pricing was triple retail. In no way do I mind paying this surcharge when the wine is properly stored and presented by trained staff, but neither is the case at Sorella. The menu fails to fully identify many of the Italian imports, simply identifying, for example, a Montepulciano. Is this a Vino Nobile or just a Rosso? There is a substantial difference in character and price between the two, and our server didn't know. I advised her that a vintage would reveal the answer, but she couldn't find the wine on the racks against the wall that house the restaurant's wine at ambient temperatures. Again, lacking the polish commensurate with the prevailing prices. Our server was polite and attentive, which was a plus. Unfortunately, she was sent home about the same time the staff began stacking chairs on adjacent tables as we continued to dine. It was well before 9PM when this activity began. While I certainly understand the need to maximize the efficiency of the waitstaff, this was quite off-putting. There were bright spots... the two antipasto courses we selected were well executed, in particular the arancini. The carrot contorni was interesting and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, both of our pasta dishes fell short of expectations. My wife's mafalde limone suffered from a broken sauce and an excess of cheese, resulting in a greasy, lumpy presentation. The bolognese on my pappardelle was quite good, but the puddle of sauce beurre blanc at the bottom of my dish (not necessary!) created a gloppy mess. It's something of a cardinal sin for an Italian restaurant to produce pasta dishes this poorly. Overall, I think there's a lot more that needs to be done here to justify the evening's $190 tab... read more

Went without reservations (which I don't recommend if possible) but was seated at the bar in less than 10 minutes. Owner was covering for sick associate behind bar. She was as nice as could be. We had one of the best meals there and the cocktails were on point. The decor was amazing. Not a single thing negative in our whole experience. Dante's meatballs rivaled anything I've ever had and I come from a big Italian family and have traveled the world. Caesar salad was very flavorful and the lasagna was on point. Recently my husband and I went out on a date and decided to try this restaurant. The energy was amazingly on point and the dim light ambiance added to the electric night life. We ordered a good amount and had a learning experience as well, which will be highlighted below: Appetizers *Focaccia: It was delightful, light and filled with a homemade touch *Whipped Ricotta: The black truffle honey did us in! The whipped ricotta was light, fluffy and easily spread on the wheat baguette. The baguette was a bit harder than I normally experienced, but it blended well together. Insalata *Butter Leaf: My husband enjoyed this salad and especially enjoyed the candied walnuts. *Burrata: I ate this fruit based salad, which was surprisingly good. I was a bit hesitant because of the snap peas as part of the meal, but it added a delightful crunch to the overall taste. Pasta *Limone: This type of pasta is basically the ridges of the lasagna pasta, which was carefully mixed with lemon, butter and parmigiana. I opted to have grilled chicken with it which was light in flavor and not heavy on the stomach. *Vodka: My husband ordered this meal without any meat (he did not want any), which was not the best. The vodka sauce overpowered the pasta along with the Calabrian chili that was the finishing touch on the meal. I tried some of his meal and I didn't like it as well, but did offer for him to eat my meal and I'd finish his. The gentleman like he is, he declined. He didn't finish his meal, but our waiter wanted to know if we wanted to take it home. We declined and did ask for honest feedback. We mentioned how 'saucy' the meal was with the pasta as well as questioned what type of vokda was used in the sauce (Grey Goose is the best in our opinion). We were offered to have the meal "comped" (which was not our intention). The chef came out to talk with my husband about his meal experience. My husband complimented the chef about how well the meal and experience except the Vodka pasta meal; he later questioned the chef about what type of vodka was used which an answer was not able to be given. Other than that issue, everything else was great. Drinks The drinks were well prepared, tasty, and strong. That did not disappoint. Selections chosen: Aperol Spritz, Sofisticata, L'Eclisse. Such an amazing first date experience! Had a perfect meal with excellent service. Arrived early for our reservation, so we were invited to enjoy a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our table. Our server, Kelsie, was just impeccable. Her wine recommendations for each of us were well paired with our meals and she is an absolute gem! I want to start this review off with "What's not to love?"... when entering we were treated by an amazing hostess (Emma), we were seated quite promptly for being early to our reservation; it was busy, but for a quaint place it was surprisingly not loud. You could tell everyone was enjoying themselves, after being sat our waitress had been over to greet us with waters (perfect timing on her behalf)... we had ordered wine (Glass of Sangiovese and Pinot Noir) which were both absolutely delicious, we then ordered two appetizers; Dante's Meatballs and the Focaccia, we had heard amazing things yet these had exceeded our expectations! (I'm quite picky about "good food"). We ordered the Limone with Chicken as well as the Al La Vodka, ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST WE HAVE HAD! A guest seated next to us had recommended the house made Limoncello; I am so glad she did! We were celebrating our birthday and had received some Lemon Sorbet that was so refreshing!!! We left full, but a good kind of full; we didn't feel weighed down! Everything here is fresh and worth it! We drove an hour to be here, and so glad we did! This is now our go to Spokane spot! I'm so happy to share that we finally food a GOOD restaurant in Spokane. A lot of the times when we try food here, we're left disappointed or feeling like the food was alright . However, Sorella exceeded our expectations. We came on our anniversary, and we were given complimentary champagne with a card wishing us happy anniversary. Honestly, a lovely surprise. The ambiance of the place was perfect, not too dark, and not too lit up and in your face. There was the open kitchen and the bar area. Good size place that was big enough to accommodate large groups, and smaller ones for bar seating. Now the menu isn't gigantically large, but with enough options to pick from. We went a little overboard and ordered 8 plates. We ordered the meatballs, arancini, carrots, Cesar salad, whipped ricotta, limone pasta, and the market pasta and fish. Before I speak about the food, I want to mention we had the most wonderful server. Apparantly they were out of the meatballs, but they just had 1 left - and she gave us that last one. She was so personable, and easy to talk to, it would be part of the reason why we would come back . Back to the food. What we would order again is the meatball, ricotta, and the pastas. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nothing was too salty, or over cooked. You get more than you would think for appetizers. The meatballs and arancini were large, and the carrots serving could probably feed 2-4 people! But not a complaint over here. Plates came out in timely manner, not too fast and not too slow which I really appreciated. We demolished all 8 plates. The drink menu was also great. I ordered the Bellini and Hugo - both were tasteful and I could have definitely ordered more rounds of it. All in all we were ecstatic we finally found a place to get great food. We went here for a date night and it was spectacular! We wanted to try everything, so we started we an order of the meatballs, the whipped focaccia bread and caesar salad. The meat balls were very good, the focaccia bread was delicious and the caesar salad was one of the bests i've ever had. For our entrees we had the limone pasta and the chicken parmigiana, both were absolutely delicious. To end the night we shared a tiramisu and it was of course amazing. Terrible service. We showed up at 7:30 as a walk-in and we were 100% prepared to wait. We were very excited from all the reviews and photos, but when we walked in the service was terrible. The hostess told us that there was no availability for the night PERIOD, so we started looking online for new restaurants. Two more people walked in after us and the hostess told them the same as us EXCEPT that they could put their name down for the bar and wait for a table. They did the same to another pair that came in. It was absolutely egregious that they did not tell us the same. We were totally understanding of how packed the restaurant was and we were planning on coming back the next day with a reservation. But not after that service. Very disappointing. read more

Discovered Sorella because I use to live in Kendall Yards & I still like to visit time to time. Honestly what a gem!!! The ambiance, the food, the staff. The service is top notch. They're extremely accommodating. I saw a group that was booked for 6 bring 2 extra people on a Friday night when the restaurant was packed, and they had every right to turn them away, but they moved so much around to accommodate them. I've been there a few times now, and everything I've ordered so far is great. No I am not a local. Yes I have high standards. The drinks are great! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones. It has been some time since I left a review on here, but I guess I was waiting for a place to inspire me. And boy did it ever! Sorella was everything people said and more. The moment we walked in, we knew Spokane had found something special! The host staff were friendly and attentive, even pouring water to those that waited a bit for their table reservation. The decor really brought out a classic Italian vibe, complete with dark teal velvet booths and matching chairs. The service was wonderful, Margaret and Naiya were incredibly helpful. They were readily available without being annoyingly present. The food was all delicious and memorable. Great flavors through out the appetizers, pastas and mains. Scallops and vodka pasta were our favorite. Lastly, the bar manager was spectacular! We had seen Josh at Wooden City previously, and what an unexpected highlight to see him here! We had a 5pm reservation, we were promptly seated in our "quaint" table for two and received immediate service. Our server was great, however, did not offer up any dessert when our meal was finished. The food was delicious! Sadly the visit was ruined when we were asked to vacate our table. We were told that we were infringing upon the next guests' reservation. The two of us were already in the process of preparing to leave, but apparently not quick enough. I've never had a restaurant push me out. I will admit, we had been in our seats for approximately 2 hours on a Thursday night. Our bill was $190 before tip (included wine) so we had a full meal, not just hors d'oeuvres. read more
