Don't come here expecting NY pizza, lol. Came here and got a couple of slices. Make sure the cashier knows you only want one slice of 2-meat pizza or call it pep/sausage instead. I didn't realize her mistake until I had left; just figured the prices island-high. In any case, the crust is very doughy, but soft. Plenty of sauce, cheese, and topping. It's about $5/slice, which I think its the going price these days. Goes well with a drink from the chickenbox across the street. read more

Customer service and timely deliveries are not priorities. Sophie T's Pizza gave me a one hour delivery time of 9:30 after I paid for my order. I called at 9:46 to inquire about the order and was told the order was out for delivery and would arrive soon. I called again at 10:20 and the woman who answered the phone told me it was on its way. I asked her to cancel the order and refund my money and she said there was no one on site who could do this for me. The pizzas arrived at 10:53, cold and congealed. There is a certain amount high-priced bad service one tolerates here but this was over the top. read more

We were told 40 min when we ordered over the phone. Came 40 min later, was told it would be another 15 min. Asked again in 20, was told "it's coming. We're going as fast as we can. Next." Holy sass. Alright, time for a re-review: This place is currently awesome! I pooh pooh Nantucket food sometimes, but Sophie T's defies the trend this year. Folks are friendly, the pizza is quite good, and shockingly well priced. Think: normal, real world prices ($19 for a large; $12 for a small)! The crust is a tad bit thicker than a typical New York style crust, but not by much, and the dough has a lovely, slightly chewy bite. Tomato sauce is, as it is on a properly low brow NYC dollar slice, slightly sweet, not at all acidic. The amount of mozzarella (nothing too high brow on the regular cheese) is perfect. Toppings are well distributed and not applied in a stingy manner (I'm looking at you, Pi), of high-enough quality for us. Even the gluten free crust is excellent: Not crisp and crackery, but soft, somehow chewy. Again, it was slightly thicker than our ideal, but whatevs. That's completely forgivable in light of that surprisingly excellent texture. This must be our new favorite place for takeout on Nantucket. Unless El Rincon somehow magically reopens, I don't think this place is going to have much competition in our family. read more

GF pizza was good. Better than most GF take out pizza options. I would defiantly order again. Wedge salad was not so much. No bacon? Bacon is a Key ingredient of the classic wedge! Wow I had a truly terrible experience with the Sophie T's Nantucket online delivery service. Initial order indicated upto 1hr 50 min wait but in the end waited close to 3 hrs for cold pizza. Restaurant couldn't help me ("we don't do the delivery ourselves"), delivery services is a 1-800 number, delivery driver didn't have a hot box. Yea, Pizzeria Regina is terrific pizza (rolls eyes)(rolls eyes again) (rolls eyes a third time). He probably gets excited when his car passes a Papa Ginos. Yup, Papa Ginos is from Boston, too. It is OK pizza. It's made in the NYC style, and I should know that style, having lived there (and yet surprisingly I don't hold NYC style pizza in the highest regard). Good ingredients. What's nice is that Sophie T's offers other things on their menu, besides pizza. They have sandwiches, wraps, and other red-sauce entrees. Prices are OK for Nantucket. It's very hard for these these small mid-island shops to keep their prices low, so kudos to Sophie T's for not branding my bank. Not sure what I'd do without Sophie T's. A restaurant that serves top notch pizza by the slice until closing? Now that's a rare find. I'm also partial to the Italian sub which is excellent. The dining area is small and, when I was there, full of people. The women working the counter looked frazzled but were polite. The Balsamic Chicken was the fan favorite. I would also recommend the Cheese Pizza as well for something simple but very delicious. We ordered one large and two small pizzas for take out. We were quoted 20 minutes on an early Friday evening. The pizzas were ready and hot as promised. The owner (I think) and staff were friendly and attentive. We digged in as soon as we got home and we were not disappointed at all. Great hand-tossed crust. Perfect light tomato sauce. The veggies were tender - not too crisp and not too soggy - a perfect balance. While we didn't eat inside, the interior is super cute and welcoming - not your typical pizzeria joint - a thoughtful and unique decor. We are from Boston and we have high standards for pizza (Pizzeria Regina, Salvatore's, Polcari, and Nino's). We will absolutely return - this place is awesome. If you want very good pizza at a reasonable price (Nantucket reasonable), this is your place. We have a lot of guests visit during the summer and you can order a variety of pizzas without breaking the bank. The buffalo chicken pizza is a favorite of my kids. I've been here twice now and both experiences were bad: the first time, I got slices for takeout, which tasted old and soggy. Not ideal, especially at $6/slice. The second time, I went in to sit down and the service was terrible. There weren't many people here, but it still took our waitress forever to even get to us and bring water. After ordering an appetizer and some pizzas, we waited over 30 minutes. Finally our pizzas came, but still no garlic bread. Sophie T's is about one thing- quick, cheap, good pizza. There is none of that fancy touristy BS, it's just real good New England pizza. But I'm writing this review about the pizza. We were desperate to find decent pizza on Nantucket, and had been relying unfortunately on frozen pizzas until we got a pizza here. It's really good. The pizza is doughy but not too doughy. Like the perfect amount of dough so you can hold your piece of pizza, and it isn't greasy and it isn't like eating a loaf of bread. In Boston, it's almost impossible to find a pizzeria that can do that. But Sophie T delivers. So, yes, this is now our go to place for Pizza. Sophie T has the BEST pizza! Our family has been going here since it was first started almost 20 years ago! Yummy crust with just the right amount of toppings, cheese and sauce.
