Cheese pie with broccoli and mushrooms

Probably some of the worst pizza I've ever had. Toppings were anemic and the crust was coated in raw flour. I guess when there are limited options, you can phone it in.

The food was yummy and service was nice. No free refills here which bugged me. Overall nice dinner. We didn't get the steak and gnocchi this time but it's wonderful also.

We love the crust -- which is a true NYC-style crust, glutinous, thin and yes, foldable! -- but the toppings leave something to be desired. A Margherita ($21) came with no tomatoes, a thick slather of sauce (actually of good quality, but just in too high of a ratio), and almost no mozzarella. The little mozzarella on the pie was "fresh" as in it came in brick form rather than in shredded form -- but it wasn't tender as it ought to've been. And there may have been three 1/2 mm slivers of basil present. Pepperoni pizza ($23) included the most minute amounts of pepperoni, cut into thin strips and nearly invisible on the pie. Man. The crust does a lot for us -- but it can't go all the way!

It's supposed to be pepperoni pizza

What the heck?!? Pi Pizzaria, could you care less? This was the one of the worst pizzas I have ever tasted. It's not even fair to call it pizza. Come on guys, I know you probably don't care but could you care a little? $25 for what's called a large, you'd be kicked out of every city nationwide for trying to call this pizza. It's an abomination. floppy, no taste, gross, inedible. You should be ashamed. What a bummer.

I give this a solid 3. I ordered the Great Italian pizza, Large (16") and a side of garlic bread. The service was great. Pizza is just OK, but not great. Flavor is there, but check out the photos. There's barely any toppings. I think a GREAT Italian pizza would have at least double the toppings as what I received. Even if they just increased the onions and peppers they'd make it so much better without costing them a lot. Also, the center was quite soggy, with lots of sauce, so it was super saggy. The garlic bread was meh. It definitely seemed like store-bought bread, serving was really small for $7 and the flavor wasn't great. I give it a 3 because it's not good enough to automatically want to go back for more. I'm definitely going to try other pizzas on the island.

If you are visiting Nantucket Pi Pizza is a MUST! The food is incredible, they don't just sell amazing pizza, they also have one of the best steaks I've ever had. The staff is friendly and the vibe is perfectly cozy.

This place is great! They have a nice outdoor patio. (Dog friendly too) Service was great. Pizza and the minestrone soup were excellent. Perfect on a chilly evening in Nantucket!

The formula is actually pretty simple: the food is excellent... the service is memorably bad. In fact, it's become a running family joke every summer. We always wonder, "How bad will the customer service be this time?" It's almost part of the experience. It starts before you even walk in. If you call to place an order, they answer the phone like they're genuinely annoyed that it rang. Then they tell you your order will be ready in, say, 20 minutes. My advice? Add another 15 minutes to whatever they tell you. It's almost automatic. When I say the service is bad, I don't mean the employees are overwhelmed or having an off day. They often talk to customers as if you're inconveniencing them simply by ordering. It's consistently curt and surprisingly rude. Then comes the twist... You slide your credit card into the machine. It asks if you'd like to leave a tip. You make your selection. Then--like someone flipped a switch--they smile, hand you your food, genuinely thank you, and wish you a nice day. And somehow... it works. Five minutes ago you were annoyed. Now you have your food, you're relieved the ordeal is over, and you're walking out smelling the pizza! It's like a customer-service Jedi mind trick. They don't convince you the service was good--they just make you so happy to finally have your food that you momentarily forget how you were treated. I've watched this happen to me--and to plenty of other customers--for years. And yet... I keep going back. Because the food really is that good.

We do want to come back, but we will do take-out instead. The longer version: I ordered a butter chicken, naan, and the Dynamite Roll. We placed our orders at the counter and sat down at a table. The restaurant is very hot inside and unfortunately they do not have outdoor seating. We received waters promptly. The wait time for food was a tad long but understandable when you see just how many people are steady coming for take-out and with the phone constantly ringing with new orders. Once the food came, it was pretty good! The sushi roll was fantastic. I would order it again. The other items were not the most amazing Indian food I've ever had but still very enjoyable. It satisfied the craving I was having. My naan did not come until we were almost done after I had to ask for it again. It was abnormal but still fluffy and delicious. We did not get water refills until very late in the meal. Next time I plan to try the korma. Overall, the food is good and for a good price. Our service was subpar so I recommend getting it to-go.

On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!
