The hype is real! So good! It's definitely dark and cramped in there so I would not recommend it for like a first date because of that. It could be uncomfortable to get around. Small spaces between each table so you'll get real cozy to the people sitting next to you. THE FOOOD HOWEVER. The food was really good. Pad Thai - only offered shrimp, but it is very consistent and tasty. Eggplant salad - super yum. surprisingly really really good. Yum kaw moo - I remember liking it a lot, but I can't remember what it taste like now, must've been unmemorable Special hot and sour soup - it was good and definitely tasted like a cozy suit meal at home, but I would not get it again because it was too light and sour. not savory enough. Dry suhkuthai noodles - really tasty, really good flavors. I would not get this with the pad Thai because they taste pretty similar duck lychee curry - really tasty and flavorful, but it wasn't spicy at all, which was disappointing. lychee rose sorbet - light and good, but probably wouldn't try again. mango sticky rice - this came with ice cream, which was cool. Very tasty. definitely lives up to the expectation. Would definitely eat again.

Duck Rolls (9/10): These were surprisingly amazing! I wasn't sure how the flavors would come together, but everything worked so well. The outside was perfectly crispy, while the filling was tender and flavorful. Such an unexpected combination that really delivered! Crab Fried Rice: Simply perfect. It might sound like a simple dish, but it was packed with flavor. It's served with two different sauces and they pair so well. It really tied the dish together. Mango Sticky Rice: Delicious! The mango was sweet, and the coconut cream had the perfect consistency and the rice was cooked just right. Overall, I really enjoyed the food here! I love when a dish surprises me, and those spring rolls definitely did. The crab fried rice was another standout, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect way to finish everything off. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

UPDATE: We've returned to Soothr for the third time and to no surprise, it was an enjoyable experience in every regard. To start, we showed up a few minutes before our reservation because their booking service Open Table had placed our reservation on the wrong day, but when we spoke with the host they were understanding and got us a table instantly, despite it being a busy Sunday evening. To eat, we ordered the Eggplant Buns, Panang Duck Lychee Curry, Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Ki-Mao. Everything was delicious but the standouts this time around were the panang curry and pad ki-mao for their comforting heat and spot-on flavor. Throughout the evening, we were checked on by every server that came across our table, and our main server, Jessi, was attentive and kind which was the cherry on top of our experience. It was a busy and loud atmosphere but the food was so good that it was hard to focus on anything else. We were ecstatic to be back at Soothr and plan on making a visit next time we're in New York.

Soothr is a must-visit for Thai food in NYC, especially if you love bold, creative flavors! The Panang duck lychee curry was out of this world--I never imagined lychee would pair so beautifully with Panang curry, but the sweet fruit and rich, fragrant curry were a match made in heaven. The crab noodles were equally flavorful, and the crispy veggie dumplings were delicious. If you like your food spicy, ask for their chili paste or oil on the side for an extra kick. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails and finished with mango sticky rice topped with mango ice cream--a fantastic way to wrap up the meal! Service was great, and the food came out quickly. We made a Resy reservation and walked right in for lunch, though I can see this place getting busy. The ambience is lovely, with plenty of seating. Come for the creative Thai flavors, and whatever you do, don't skip the Panang duck lychee curry! Highly recommend.

I came back to Soothr with my partner for him to finally experience the best Khao Soi. We came during lunch, and were lucky to be seated immediately. Inside has lots of seating, and service was great all round. The food we ordered came out relatively quick, and I was excited to try some new dishes. The Moo Dang Puffs were so warm and flaky. It reminds me of a cha siu bao, but mixed with a puff pastry---and the sweet vinegar sauce pairs so well! I also got to try their Dry Sukhothai Tom Yum Noodles, and these might be my favorite entree dish! It was light and the sauce was sweet and savory, it reminds me a lot of the Vietnamese dish Hủ Tiếu, which is my favorite. And of course, the Khao Soi was spectacular as always with tender chicken and flavorful broth. Soothr always fulfills me, and I will come again!

Food: The food is honestly OK, not sure how they have a michelin star. I don't think enough heat is used or they cook in large batches for the pad see ew as there was no char to the noodles, indicating not high enough heat. Food still tasty though, just not the best. I really love the morning glory salad though. Amazing. Service: Great service, my water was actually never empty. Helped me with storage as well for my large items. Ambiance: cozy and fun. nice.

I can absolutely see why this place is widely recognized. The place is brimming with people so definitely get a reservation. Seating is crowded and it can get noisy so keep that in mind. There's a restroom available in the back but it's tiny with poor ventilation. My group got the tom yum ($28), duck noodles ($26), khao soi ($25), and shrimp pad thai ($21). We were given our food in less than 30 minutes even though the restaurant was filled. I'm surprised that their prices are honestly pretty low considering their dishes are family style and the quality of taste. The tom yum soup is comforting, creamy, has a spicy kick, and whips you with a subtle zest. Literally hits in all the right places and I was taken aback by it. The duck noodles! The noodles sit just right and the caramelized duck is soft and adds the perfect flavor to those noodles. The shrimp pad thai is made with love and perfection. I have no notes for the food. Soothr is officially my #1 pick for a Thai restaurant in the US. Their service and quality is unmatched. Thank you for this memorable experience!

Really good drinks and fun decor! The tom yum soup was good, but on the sweeter and creamier side. Same for the crab meat noodles, hardly and kick, had to ask for chillies separately which changed the profile 180. I think it's really good if you don't like spicy food and still want to get American Thai

One of my new favorite spots in New York! I came here on a date and we had the best time enjoying all the flavorful food options and delicious cocktails. We tried several things and nothing disappointed us. Highly recommend giving this place a try!! I will absolutely be back.

Soothr is a famous Thai restaurant in NYC! This place gets PACKED and the space inside is rather small, so I definitely recommend a reservation if possible. The decor around the restaurant was beautiful. The servers were all very friendly, but you could tell that they wanted us to leave towards the end of our meal (90-minute dining time) so that they could flip the table. We got the Shrimp Pad Thai, Dara Citrine, Rose Quartz, Yum Pu Nhim, and Chicken Ki-Mao Noodles. As for the cocktails, they had a whole menu dedicated to birthstones so that was pretty innovative. The Dara Citrine tasted strong while the Rose Quartz tasted good. Our server recommended the Yum Pu Nhim which was the fried soft-shell crab tossed in herbs, Thai chili, and a lime dressing. This was the highlight of dinner for me. It was SO good! The crab tasted amazing and had a great crunch while the dressing it was in was so flavorful. My Chicken Ki-Mao Noodles were good, but there was a slightly tangy taste to the dish, which I am not used to. It still tasted good, but different. Overall, I think Soothr is a solid option for Thai food! Lovely atmosphere and good food.

Lush and delicious, a must try Thai spot in LES. The lychee martini was insanely good not too sweet and so refreshing and well balanced with two juicy fresh lychees hanging off the glass. The eggplant salad is a bit like a thai babaganoush and a little on the small side. The pork salad was good. Stand out dishes- the khao soi tofu was insane, the tofu is so silky and soaks up the flavor of the khao soi so well, I liked it way more than chicken. The broth was so warm and savory and perfect. The lychee duck curry was super succulent and delicious, I used the broth to flavor my rice and it was so so good. The duck rolls were delicious! So crisp and hot and filled with great spice and texture. The one thing I would not come back to order again was the fried branzino, topped with tangy mango and flavorful herbs but it was so overfried and there was barely any fish meat on the bones.

Went in on a Monday around 3pm. We were able to get a table immediately. The restaurant is very quaint. Not too loud. Very few tables and intimate. The server was attentive and helpful. Our water glasses were kept full at all times. Our mains came with a small side of pork meatballs and dumplings. The dumplings were fantastic. The meatballs were a little tough but still good. For mains, my wife got the shrimp pad Thai. Not too spicy (her liking). She said it was excellent. I got the Soothr Jeeb Dumplings. Amazing! Also got the Chicken Ki-Mao Noodles. So spicy and so good. It was a fantastic all around experience. We took the train there so can't comment on parking. A short walk from the station however. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The Panang Duck Lychee Curry is mind blowing. All the dishes we tried were flavorful and delicious. Prices not bad, especially for NYC. Nice ambiance, great for a night out. Servers were very attentive and helpful. We were able to book an early dinner reservation a couple of weeks out with no issues
