Beautiful restaurant went for lunch and sat indoors. The servers were very attentive and the food was very tasty and prepared well. The pad see ew was delectable. The pad kea mow was also good a little too spicy for me. Overall great experience can't wait to try other items. Only downside is that you can't substitute proteins on the dishes.

Heard that this was one of the best Thai restaurants ranked in the city and I can see why people think that. I'm a tough critic on Thai food, especially in the city and I felt that it was okay. Especially in Manhattan, prices are so crazy (and I get why) but there's also this dolled-up-ness to it, which I also kind of understand. That out of the way, Chada was solid and the meal was definitely satisfactory and authentic. I think the Thai scene in NYC is just so stiff, but it's a great lively place to take your friends since they have a lot of seats (I would make a reservation in advance). If you're here for a date, you might be seated at one of several two-seater tables with lively/loud conversation - not the best place to catch despite going on a weekday.

This review is purely for the bartenders who made me a delicious cosmo. Turns out one of the bartenders used to work at the Cosmo hotel in Vegas - small world. They were both lovely to chat to and made a great team!

Thai food in NYC always hits! Chada has such an authentic taste with bold flavors. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai, the khao soi, crispy tofu, and crab fried rice. My favorite was definitely the khao soi! It had such rich flavors and I loved the contrast between the soft and crispy noodles. My rule of thumb is I have to order pad Thai at any Thai place. If the pad Thai isn't good, then it says a lot about the restaurant. However, Chada blew me away and I loved the interior of the restaurant as well. The waiter was very on top of filling our waters everytime and make sure to get a reservation if you're checking out this place!

Upscale Thai restaurant with room for about 50 people (mostly 2-seat tables). Wait was about 45 min on a busy Saturday night but we were able to get seated within 10min with the caveat of an 1hr time limit. Staff was understandably rushed and slightly intrusive, but friendly. They do have Blackbird for payment which was a plus. Wi-Fi is a bit weak inside, but perhaps that'll encourage diners to speak to each other. Highly highly recommend the Crystal Coco Thai ice tea. So refreshing yet creamy and sweet, and pairs excellently with most of the spicy entrees. Pork jowl appetizers were fatty and chewy, but flavorful with dipping sauce. Both the pad kee mao and short ribs were rather spicy but rich and tender, and I enjoyed both. Prices weren't cheap but you get what you pay for. I'd absolutely love to come back; this was one of my favorite restaurants in the West Village.

We enjoyed our time at Chada. Our friends took us here for a birthday meal. I would recommend getting a reservation since it was quite busy when we went. Every dish was so flavorful and delicious. The portion sizes are great too. These were the dishes we got. Crispy Pork Krakow Folded Dumplings (**highlight) Short Rib Penang Curry Khao Soy Goong Karee The Folded Dumpling is a must get! Not only aesthetically pleasing, the bite is also heavenly. The crispy pork is a little bit spicy but so flavorful. The portion size of the short ribs in the Penang curry is generous - I definitely wouldn't be able to finish on my own. This might be one of my favorite Thai place in New York now!

Good Thai food with nice service in the West Village. We got here at 6:30pm which was at the end of their happy hour - had I known about it I would have came a bit earlier. Didn't see it advertised on their website. The place was nice and cosy. Seating wise - you are very close to the people next to you so you can sort of hear their conversations. Ordered various dishes - the pandan dumpling is definitely worthwhile ordering. We got the short rib curry along with the salt pepper pork. Both were great but a bit spicy for my friend. We ended ordering pad see ew in addition so she had something else that was non spicy. Got the Thai toast for dessert which was pretty yummy!

Heard this might be the new best Thai spot in nyc and had to give it a try. Had a reservation so the wait was only about 5 minutes. Service started off questionable. My girlfriend got there first and had to stand (in an already tight space) while the chairs in the front were occupied by take out orders. First observation is that the place is incredibly cramped, there wasn't much space to put my coat ir backpack, so felt a bit squeezed the whole time. The food itself was great - wonton tom yum soup was flavorful and comforting - pad see ew was good - panang curry was the standout dish, the short rib was tender and almost fell off the bone Overall, would probably come back but not the best spot for a medium-large group

Stopped by CHADA for dinner tonight and it was fiiire. It was shockingly easy to get a reservation here--even for day of. We ordered: - yum nam (amazing and with good heat. Less sour than some of the Lao ones that I've had, but not less delicious!) - folded dumplings (warm, coconutty, and peanutty. Very similar to some Chinese peanut mochi things that I've had. It felt more like a dessert to me than an appetizer, but I will never deny a sweet treat) - crispy salt and pepper pork (I was skeptical since this sounded Americanized, but this was amazing. Like a peppery, garlic, crispy pork belly aka siu yok for my Cantonese girlies. I would order this over and over again if I could, highly recommend) - sautéed morning glory (sleeper hit--I love a green veggie and I almost didn't order this one, but it was so flavorful and garlicky) - Khao Soi (good, but just a little too sweet to me, like the one at Soothr) Overall, this is a great, vibey spot with amazing food and an easy reservation. I would return in a heartbeat.

Great ambiance with upscale vibes and vibrant color scheme. Staff extremely kind Corn salad was unique but not quite a flavor profile I would find myself ordering again. Pad kee mao was very good with more emphasis on tomato flavor. Crispy pork was the crowd favorite! Went so well with rice

Raw crab salad - amazing! More crab than salad. You really have to work for the meat. It's fresh, messy, spicy, and delicious!

Delicious! The food was great and the service fast. I had the crab salad and the chicken noodle.

We went yesterday for my husband's birthday and they were very accommodating because we asked them for a table of 10 people (8 adults and 2 children) very last minute- they respond pretty fast! But because it was a table of 10 people, we had to do the pre fixe menu. The space is pretty tight and I would not recommend bringing a wheelchair or stroller because it's a small space. My favorite dishes were the papaya salad and the short rib - the salad was very refreshing and had a hint of salted duck egg which complements well with the papaya in my opinion. I thought the short rib was very tender and had the perfect ratio of lean and fattiness, eaten with the crab rice! The crab fried rice was very balanced, it wasn't too salty and there were generous pieces of crab too! I am not a good spice eater so a couple dishes like the croquettes and pad kee mao were too spicy for me to enjoy. The Pad Kee Mao flavor wise is delicious but I just don't think I'd be able to handle finishing a dish of it because of the spiciness. The only thing I would change, is if we had the option to choose our dishes rather than just eat what they choose, however there was a good selection of meat, fish and veggies in the mix. It was enough food for 8 adults with some leftovers too! We also had dessert and a complimentary drink included in the pre fixe and we brought our own cake BUT they will charge you a $15 holding & cutting fee. I would come back again to try their other dishes!

This restaurant is so romantic and cozy! They have something for everyone on the menu and the service was great. When it started to rain in the outdoor dining the team was able to extend the covering for the outdoor area which came in clutch. The drinks were fun and fruity and the food was all so flavorful. The crystal coco thai iced tea and lychee bless were some of our favorite drinks that are also so pretty.

But, when I found myself thinking about their Gai Yang, Grilled Branzino, pandan coconut cake dessert (aka my fave dessert EVER).. I knew this was a place I'd frequent. The flavors are always hitting and consistent. Staff is extremely attentive. Atmosphere is elevated, without feeling too pretentious and all around feels cozy with the warm tones and light. First impressions, the ambiance was really nice and service was attentive. Staff here were very friendly and helpful. We ended up ordering the chicken wings which were recommended to us, the pork jowl which we were told was the signature dish, and the sea bass curry. I thought the chicken wings were quite small and wished they were bigger especially since it was stuffed with sticky rice i feel as thought they could've capitalize on the advantage they had to essentially mold this chicken dish. While the sticky rice wasn't a bad pairing, I feel as though it took away from the chicken. I really love a steaming hot tender chicken, but you just can't achieve that with sticky rice filling. The texture diverged from being crispy, tender and juicy--all the main components of a good fried chicken to being more starchy, chewy and less crisp which i found disappointing. The pork jowl i found underwhelming while still good I expected more from a signature dish As for the sea bass curry, i felt as though the curry sauce could've had more depth to the flavor. Rather i found that while it had a nice kick from the spice there wasn't much flavor aside from the spice. Overall, was pretty disappointed. But still glad we tried it!

So when the server asked us what we'd like to drink, we asked for hot water (later found out we were charged $1 for each cup of hot water). We ordered the beef rendang, chicken satay and singapore noodles (with tofu and vegetables). I had been hoping to try the soft shelled crab but perhaps it's out of season or no longer on the menu as I didn't see it. The chicken satay came out first, it was 4 sticks of skewered chicken drenched in a slightly spicy creamy peanut sauce. This was the second favorite dish of the table as the chicken was tender and the peanut sauce paired well with it. The singapore noodles were unexpected the favorite of the table. The flavor profiles weren't too crazy just a simple curry flavor but mixed with the thin noodles and other ingredients, it was savory and not too heavy to eat a lot of. The beef rendang was the last dish to come out, the beef pieces were very tender and this was the spiciest dish out of all 3 that we had ordered. It came with about a bowl's worth of white rice on the side and some cucumbers and purple cabbage salad. It was a pretty okay lunch. Not the best Malaysian food I've had (Chinatown is still the best spot for me) but it's a good spot if you're craving Malaysian food in the west village area. Bathrooms were immaculately clean which is always a plus.
