The service was fast and attentive. The major issue was the temperature inside of the restaurant. We asked the server to turn on the AC and she let us know that it was on. It felt like a sauna inside. We also heard other tables complaing about how hot it was inside. I would also keep in mind that this " cafe" is ALSO A SHABU RESTAURANT it is not a separate cafe. I was unaware of that and came thinking it was going to have a " cafe" atmosphere and it does not. It absolutely looks like a shabu restaurant inside. Would not recommend if you are looking for a cute brunch spot.

There wasn't much flavor to the pancake itself, but they were fluffy and light, so that was a plus, and the berry topping was pretty good. My pandan latte was also pretty decent. It didn't have a really heavy pandan flavor, but overall it was probably a four out of five as far as flavored lattes go. Overall, I was a little disappointed, and the food was kind of subpar. I probably won't be back here for quite some time.

The burrito basically tastes and has the texture of a chorizo and potato burrito and the sauce gives it the kick it needs. I've also tried their sea salted caramel latte and it's a bit too sweet for breakfast but very tasty. They are one of the few coffee shops where the music isn't blasting the whole time and there's always available tables and outlets. I also love that there's plants and art to purchase!

It does cost a bit more to use a credit card, so bring cash if you can. Another thing is their Ugleez eggs. Don't skip out on those if you don't mind their appearance or the yolk size inconsistencies. I have bought them a few times and the egg yolks are beautifully orange and they taste great! It saves you some money by getting those and you still get that high quality egg with some deformities on the outside. Jumbo eggs sells out quick, so be sure to come early around their opening time if you want that size (which is the ones I always get).

On Saturday, my honey and I were craving mexican food so I suggested " Sonoras". He agreed and so we went. He went inside and ordered us two burritos ( 1 carne and 1 brc). The wait time was quick, he came back out and we decided to eat in the car. I took a bite of my burrito and my first thought was " hmmm , no flavor?" So I proceeded to take another bite and the same thing NO FLAVOR. To be quite frank with everyone who is reading this , I have never tasted a burrito so flavorless like this one was. It seemed as though my tortilla was a bit raw as well which made the flavor even worse. I thought to myself maybe it's just my burrito And my honeys might taste better so I took a bite of his and the same thing!!! FLAVORLESS! I was so disappointed ): My honey went back into the store and asked for a refund since there was only 2 bites taken out of it . We returned after about a 15-year hiatus, hoping to reconnect with an old favorite. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. The shrimp burrito was on the lighter side and felt overly filled with rice. While the house-made tortilla was excellent and a clear highlight, the salsa tasted watered down. On a positive note, both the rice and shrimp themselves were flavorful. At $14, the overall value of the burrito felt lacking, earning about a 2-star impression from us. We might consider stopping by again just for the tortillas, but with the newer Northgate Market on Mountain Ave offering strong competition, it's uncertain. This restaurant has clearly stood the test of time, which speaks to a loyal customer base. However, it may no longer be the right fit for us moving forward. read more
