They could have made another $200 on the job, but instead chose to lose thousands of dollars in future business from a longtime customer. Customer relationships matter, and throwing away years of future business over something this small simply isn't good business. Yesterday I tempted fate because on the last time I'd been out of the house to drive anywhere -- a…read moreweek ago or more -- my car's dashboard electrical system warning light had come on. I was hoping it was just a dying battery, since I have jumper cables, and that I could get this errand completed even if I had to beg a jump-start from some stranger. Alas, it was not the battery, but the alternator, which had failed -- meaning no more juice was going into the battery, and my car therefore went completely dead about 10 minutes from my destination. But I coasted to a stop -- with the engine dead, no power steering, no dashboard lights at all -- into the parking lot of Deerfield Auto Repair & Kwik Kar. Owner Joe Fallin and his capable staff promptly diagnosed my problem and gave me a fair estimate. They replaced my alternator and battery both (never keep an old battery with a new alternator!) within the estimated time, about three hours, and hosted me in the meantime in a clean and well-appointed waiting room (easy to maintain pandemic-driven social distancing). Friendly, competent, honest, diligent -- fate delivered me into good hands, and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.

Before you buy from 365 Auto Sales, pull your own independent vehicle history report -- don't rely…read moreon anything they tell you or hand you at signing. On April 5, 2025, I purchased a 2017 RAM 1500 (VIN 3C6RR6LT8HG604738) from 365 Auto Sales in Katy, TX, financed through Westlake Financial. After the sale, I pulled independent Experian AutoCheck and CARFAX reports and found that this truck had been declared a total loss by an insurance company on February 11, 2025 -- less than two months before I bought it. Texas title records show the title was transferred directly into the insurance company's name on March 7, 2025. Less than a month later, the truck was in 365 Auto Sales' inventory, and I bought it on April 5, 2025. None of this was disclosed to me anywhere -- not in the Buyer's Order, not in the Retail Installment Contract, not in the Odometer Disclosure Statement, not verbally at the dealership. I financed $21,944.80 over 60 months at 10.69% APR for a vehicle whose insurance total-loss history I only discovered by doing my own research after the fact. On top of that, every single legal document in my file -- the Credit Application, the Retail Installment Contract, the Buyer's Order, the insurance agreement -- lists my legal name incorrectly, calling into question how carefully (if at all) this paperwork was actually reviewed before I was asked to sign it. I have sent a formal written notice to both 365 Auto Sales and Westlake Financial and have filed complaints with the Texas DMV and the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner. I'm posting this so other buyers don't find themselves in the same position: get an independent CARFAX or AutoCheck report before you sign anything at this dealership, and ask directly, in writing, about any insurance total-loss or title-brand history.

BackStory, I have been looking at a vehicle for sale that I traced back to DDPR doing some major upgrades back years ago. If you are even considering using David and his team, just go ahead and make the call and put your build in his hands.

The staff members here are reliable and do their best to make sure you're getting the best deal. As a girl, I used to be afraid of getting scammed by car repair shops but this place is the complete opposite which is very reassuring. Right when you walk in, there is a sweet Korean Lady (the owner's mother) who greets you or the owner himself. The owner has great energy and is hilarious- always made me feel very welcomed. I will say the parking lot is a little small but this shop somehow manages to make it work. The interior has a good number of chairs for customers as well as a center table. That being said, it you are hoping to not have a long wait time, I would try to come here during opening or lunch time during the weekdays. While you are waiting for your car to get fixed, if you get hungry/thirsty, there is a vending machine for beverages and mochi ice cream for you to purchase. This place has helped me with oil changes, state vehicle inspections, and my friend's AC issues. The friends who have visited here from my recommendation all had nothing but great things to say about this auto shop! Just an FYI, if you are paying with credit card, there is a 3% service charge but if you're paying with cash, that is waived. Another FYI, this place is good for three different languages: English, Spanish, and Korean.

I had my truck in, and it just needed a simple fuse replaced - it took them two days to figure this out. They made it sound like the initial person doing the inspection was not an actual mechanic. The lady behind the counter, when I went and picked my truck up stated, "well, once it got to a real mechanic, they were able to diagnose it." This time around they told me I would need to replace a certain part to get my 4x4 working again. I replaced the part, they told me it was working - it's still not working. I brought my truck back to them, they've had it for a full day, and still haven't looked at the problem. I also have a check engine light on that's related to my fuel fill inlet valve, or a Vapor Recovery System Issues - I think this is beyond their level of expertise to fix it. This is my second day missing work to have them work on my truck, and I have no hope that they'll be able to fix the issues - even though I've already paid for one to be fixed, and they told me it was fixed. I will not be bringing my truck back to this mechanic.
