Dinner for four. My…read morewife and I drove from Raleigh to this Cracker Barrel location to have dinner with her uncle and his wife who were passing through NC on their way back to Virginia. The Service was great , Michaela did an amazing job of taking care of us. She was upbeat, funny and attentive. The food was great 3 of us got the Turkey and dressing and one got meat loaf (I think) All 4 of us were happy with our meal. The ambiance was great, traditional Cracker Barrel look. The restaurant was clean in the dining area as well as the rest rooms. We were greeted when we first arrived and we were politely asked to shop in the store after dinner, I thought this was a brilliant way of getting people to shop... which we did. We had an amazing time at Cracker Barrel, if you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in. *This is Great place for families to eat. Thanks again Michaela and Cracker Barrel. :)

The store front was clear of customers and only one other was in front of us in the drive thru line. Being our first time, it was a little hard to read the menu from a car behind, so we needed to wait until we got to the window to see what they had to offer. AND BOY do they have a lot different things to offer. We decided on a double cheeseburger combo with fries and drink - total after tax about $15. Hm...okay no problem. Once you paid, you were instructed to drive around the building to the other side where you would pick-up your food once done. We waiting maybe 10 mins (if even that) and our food was brought out to us. The staff were friendly and it looked like a clean establishment from where we sat waiting. Now...the food. I can't say the price reflected the amount of food you got. The burger was somewhat on the small size, the fries were okay, and the drink was just a drink. Nothing to really write home about. Maybe next time we will try something different to have a full experience (if we are on that side of town).

One of my sons has been affected the same way, we didn't eat the same thing. Server prioritized others ahead of us (waited about 10 mins to be asked for a drink order, meanwhile filling a drink order for 4 cops who came in 10 minutes after us). Prices looked great, portion size was large but the food itself was a big meh. I asked if they could cook their burgers to temp, got a resounding Yes they can....I asked for a medium burger and it came out well done. I was asked by two people how it was, which I answered "It was ok" - nobody wanted more details. IMHO they have an established base they cater hardest too and they don't extend that service to new customers. Makes the old timers feel great however we'll never be regulars. We won't be back. I get supporting those who support you, but that's hardly a long term sustainable model. Hope you're ready for when those folks dwindle off. They'll be lost in new customers acquisition and won't understand it. Enjoy it while you can. Atmosphere was great. Very disappointed it didn't meet expectations.

They were kind enough to tell me what I needed to avoid which did limit many things I would have liked to try. However there were other options that turned out to be more than favorite for me. I would give 5 stars except for my experience yesterday. I went with a gift card I had just received. When I tried to pay with it I was told that it could not be accepted because of company policy because gift cards won't go through their machine. She hadn't even tried it. I was lucky that I had enough cash on me to pay the bill. I didn't withhold the tip because she doesn't make the rules but they should prominently post that they don't accept gift credit cards. I hate to think what would have happened if I had only had the amount of cash I usually carry

I'm afraid I'm knocking off a few stars right off the bat. Despite a nice location, great venue,…read moreand easy parking, our experience was far from stellar. We arrived during a slow time of day--around 3:45 PM for "linner." First issue: a chip in my pint glass cut my lip. They gave me a fresh glass, which I appreciate, but comping something (anything!) for the trouble would have gone a long way. I'm not reviewing the food out of fairness to them , because everything had a (bloody) metallic taste Second issue: the staff "entertainment." Someone went off in the kitchen, yelling loudly enough that it spilled out into the bar area. The unhappy server then proceeded to vent to patrons at the bar. Look, it's Garner--I get it. Having worked in Garner for several years, I know the "Garner Way." Everyone knows everyone, and a strong sense of community exists once you cross the city limits. I love that, and I'm even curious about the history behind the "Cleveland" name in this area (though that's for another review). However, after venting behind the bar to what I assume were regulars, someone finally came out to quiet things down. That same server then made an interesting pivot: since she couldn't vent in the kitchen or at the bar, she pulled out her cell phone right in the middle of the dining area. She stood just far enough away to qualify as outside the bar zone, but close enough for us to hear every detail about her car trouble and personal life. Dinner and a show--Garner style!
