Worst drive thru experience I have ever had. I always have had good luck except maybe some slow service but this takes the cake. I pull in to a stall and no one answers the push button, so after 5 minutes and realizing no one else is ordering I pull around to drive thru speaker, still no one answers so I pull up to pick up area and see 2 people inside. A tall skinny white guy is in there with his head down and a young guy is in there cooking. I honk my horn and the cook comes out and tells me he is just the cook but will get the manager's attention, but the manager just goes to the computer inside and starts taking orders from people that are now at the drive thru. So no one assists me and I pull around to the drive thru again behind a line of cars. While sitting in the line after ordering, 2 other females employees run from across the street likely getting lunch somewhere. They begin working and everything starts getting served. I asked to speak to the manager once again and one of the females comes out instead of the supposed manager and apologizes after hearing my concern and comps my order. But she did state that the "manager" has been ignoring people a lot and disappearing at work. Not sure why she told me that so freely so she must be being truthful. read more

Literally the worst Sonic ever. My boyfriend and I went there and simply ordered a chocolate shake and an Oreo blast. Took 20 minutes and the Oreos were literally just at the very top, the rest was just plain vanilla. Went again a few weeks later, it took 30 minutes to get the same order when there was only one other car ordering besides us. Genuinely ridiculous. read more

This sonic has consistently been terrible for years. The only reason why we still get food from them occasionally is because of the kids. They will make the burgers with incorrect condiments even tho the order is correct on the display screen. Several times I've been up there with gift cards because my in laws get them for the kids and the card won't read and they say just to pay another way. . DO NOT GO TO THIS SONIC. We ordered a sprite and a small Oreo blast and it took them 15 minutes with only 5 cars in the parking lot. They clocked our order off their screen 2 minutes after we ordered it to make their out times look awesome. We also caught attitude from whoever was taking orders. This Sonic is awful. Went here a few weeks ago for a drink thru the drive thru. Pulled up and no response, waited several minutes and cars were pulling up behind me, giving up and pulling out. I finally pulled into a spot and hit the button to order, it flashed several times and then stops. I hit it three times with no one answering. I see someone go through the drive thru and decided to try that again. Finally an answer and i order my drink. An aggravating 15-20 minutes for a drink. I try it again about a week later and again no answer in the drive thru. I pull into a spot and try to order, same thing happens. Crazy. I ask to talk to a manager when a car hop goes by. A guy comes out says he is the Asst. Manager but he's not in charge. He says the employees are new and most can't use the headsets. I'm not sure what they do there, the guy was unapologetic and didn't seem to care about the issue. I live very close to this location, but will NEVER go back. I drove to a Rockwall location at RidgeRd/205 and service was lightning fast and good shake. So disappointed that someone doesn't take control of the problem. read more

I never write reviews and it takes a really bad experience to write a bad review. The manager that was taking orders hardly speaks english and didn't understand us either so he messed up our order for one. We start to drive away and there's not one, but TWO hairs in the tater tots. We go back and he asks if we want another one. The "new" one we got was barely warm and quite obviously old. A lady comes out and gives us the bag and then says we can just keep the old one and starts to walk away..... There's two big black hairs in it why on earth would we keep it?? We actually had to ask her to take it. Then we drive away for the second time. I'm paranoid by this point so I check my mozzarella sticks and what do I find? Another black hair! We drive back for the SECOND time and ask to speak to the manager for our money back. He asked if we wanted a new one. At this point all I wanted was a refund. Then he takes out his personal wallet and hands us $3.02 in cash instead of refunding it back onto our card. What kind of professionalism is that? We would never do that at our restaurant. Needless to say, we will not be back at this location. Sonic used to be my favorite fast food place with great food, full of polite teenagers on skates. Now it's full of adults who can barely speak english, I don't care what their nationality is, including the managers, and we're lucky if we get the right order or have warm food! To the carhop tonight and other nights in the past who, when giving change, assumes I plan to tip them...... give me ALL of my change and then IF I choose to tip you, I will! Otherwise, don't assume that I only want the bills back. The tip is for your great service and not an entitlement. FYI----- I normally take all of my change back and then give you a one dollar bill. Better than 69 cents right? I too have been a carhop for Sonic and I strongly believe in tipping but you should humbly wait for it to be offered and not look so surprised when I ask about the rest of my change.
