Worst experience at a sonic restaurant ever! Placed my order, total came out to $31.37 which was already higher than I expected, but didn't think much of it. Hit the pay with cash button on the screen and suddenly, after a couple minutes the order screen popped back up and started changing and total went up by $6 and some change, so i hit the red button again and said "I think you might've accidentally added someone elses order to mine, the total just went up quite a bit." He then responded "oh sorry about that, I changed a few items to a combo for you to make it cheaper for you." And I responded "well it made the total higher, not lower. So again, I am not sure what's going on. Can we just put it back the way you had it the first time?" To which he responded with the same response as before, trying to tell me its "cheaper" now... so again I tell him its more than before, so he readjusts the order again and this time it came out cheaper, but not to the original price that was even cheaper. So I calmly try to explain that it was still cheaper the first time to which the guy starts getting belligerent and swears it's cheaper now than ever before. So i give up and tell him that I'll pay the few dollars more. When he brings out the order, all three drinks don't have the lids on correctly, the mozzarella sticks were not only cold and hard but weren't even cooked all the way. Absolutely none of the sauces I asked for were in either of the bags and when I asked for them he literally only brought one of each for this large order!At this point i am extremely irritated and have been nothing but kind, even left a small tip even after all the original frustrations. I will never be returning to this establishment I would've given zero stars if possible over the severe pettiness and belligerent acts from their employees! This place is a joke! Don't ask for delivery from Sonics Drive in. They are sloppy, Don't pay attention to what you ordered or how you ordered the item. They also short your order, because they feel they are not liable to correct any mistakes they make, since they use the delivery service. They blame the service for not ensuring the order is correct. They will not replace the forgotten items, nor refund them. Again they blame the service. Today my daughter in-law placed an order for herself and children and was shorted one of the kids meals and a route 44 strawberry limeade. When she called them, they told her, they would not replace or refund the money. They said she needed to take it up with Grub Hub. Grub Hub refused to refund, because it was the restaurant's responsibility to make certain the order was correct, not theirs, they just pick up and deliver. I ordered burger with extra cheese, no onions, with both mustard and mayonnaise, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and a pretzel stick. I didn't receive the mozzarella sticks, nor the 2 marinara sauce or extra cheese sauce. My burger had onions, no cheese and no mustard or mayonnaise. Again Sonics, would not replace nor refund for any of thier mistakes. From times in the past I knew Doordash wouldn't either. All told Sonics, Doordash, and Grub Hub stole over $15 worth of product from this family today. read more

Stall #13 speaker is horrible. We couldn't place our order with lots of repetition, then the employee finally had to come outside to our vehicle to confirm our order. The carhop brought our food, mints, and condiments but didn't bring any napkins. We called over the speaker to request napkins and it took several attempts to finally get our napkins. This location sonic FM 150 in Kyle does not deserve a star at all!! I have gone to this location for many years and just within the last year the service SUCKS! We press the red button and wait and wait and wait for someone to come on the intercom, or you go through the drive-thru and wait and wait and wait for someone to acknowledge you. NO one ever says I will be with you in a moment or give me a second and I will be right with you, very RUDE!!! So when you finally get to order, they either cannot hear you correctly or are just plan dumb and don't care about customer service, because when you finally receive your food or drinks surprise surprise they are WRONG!!! We have called and complained several times and Chelsea the manager claims that nothing like this is happening, well she is WRONG!!! We have also spoke to corporate!!! I normally do not complain about customer service due to the fact I DO NOT AGREE that the customer is always right, But I do think that if you work in customer service you should treat people with respect because after all the customer is the reason YOU have a job!!!!! Needless to say I will NEVER be going back to this sonic!!! Left, called the on-duty manager who apologized and said they were busy? I asked how did she think she was busy when it was less than half full and she said they were understaffed. Once upon a time we lived in Kyle, TX. We have never been happier after moving out of Kyle last summer! I don't know what it is about the fast food joints in Kyle, but the staff working at any number is them is the worst I've EVER experienced anywhere, and I've been to A LOT of places. This Sonic is no exception. Also see my review of the Kyle Taco Cabana for reference. I can't decide if it just grew way too fast, or it's too close to crappy Austin attitudes (which also has tons of bad experiences I could go on about), or what! This sonic and the manager, Chelsea, do not help matters. My teen even tried to interview for a job here and Chelsea blew them off for the interview, and instead sent some rude kid out to do the interview who decided he would have fun abusing his "power". And as for getting food here? Ha. Never. Ever. Ever. Not after the SEVERAL bad experiences we had with rude inattentive staff, ridiculous wait times, and wrong orders each and every time. Management appears to need replacing and only then could things probably get better. Staff always act like whatever the management acts like, so if the management is rude, disrespectful, or unhelpful, then u can guarantee all the staff will be the same! And to think Sonic filmed a commercial here at this location! Which, btw, was a HUGE inconvenience since we couldn't even go there that day! Seems Kyle, TX and this Sonic have gotten too big for their britches. Hays county in general gave us some of the worst experiences- from the lack of a scheduled street sweeping service in Kyle (costing us 3 flat tires in 6mos), to the animal control/shelter, to the way the county calculates taxes and how they don't take care of major infrastructure needs in a timely manner, majorly inconveniencing us and other residents to no end. And don't even get me started on Jack Hays High School. We have never been treated so rudely by teachers and other school employees!! Rude, rude, and GREEDY is all I can think of this area. Parked at the stall, waited about 10 minutes ...thought the speaker were broken. Went to the drive-through wait for a long time before anybody acknowledge us. Ask for some onion rings - didn't have any said they were out. I think they need more employees....way too many cars waiting and to few employees to handle the volume of customers. I'm assuming that nobody can read at this location. Every single time we go up there- not exaggerating- something is wrong. Today, even after going over all the mistakes that were made when he read back our order over the intercom, we still left there with the wrong drinks and mayo slathered all over my burger. Ok. I hate sweet tea. I hate mayo on burgers and I managed to leave with both. It's not a one time offense. This is every.single.time. Finally, an employee comes out to hang an out of order sign on the speaker and tells me the drive thru is down . She tells me to go order at one of the stations . After I tell her I was already waiting there for more then 10 minutes she tells me they are short handed . What a joke . My wonderful experience at Sonic: So I was having an awful evening that was very stressful, so I decided to indulge in wings, tots and a master blast. This was right before closing, so there were only three other cars in the lot. I ordered my food and sat and waited. It took a while, but I didn't mind because the customer service was amazing and the food was done right. Nathan comes to me and brings me my food. At this point I'm just ready to dig in. I ask him to bring me a couple ranches for my wings. Ten seconds later he walks out with the ranch and hands them to and asks if he can get me anything else. I tell him that that will be all and thank you. Im guessing he knew I was upset because he asked if I was alright. (Sometimes the little things go a long way) He says to me that whatever it is, he hopes it will get better, and stay strong. Although it didn't change my situation(which in turn did get better) but it's the fact that these people genuinely care for their customers. So grateful I chose sonic that night because it motivated me. Also my food was HOT and FRESH while my masterblast was chilled to perfection. Definitely returning. read more

Been to this Sonic several times, each time something is wrong. 1st time - ordered chicken strip meal and they brought a gravy container that was only about 1/4 full and it was super thick. I asked for more and they told me that they would have to go make some more and they were closing in an hour so it wouldn't get used up before closing. 2nd time - ordered drinks and there was very little ice, the sodas had a watered down flat taste. I asked if they could check the drinks because they tasted off. They told me there was nothing wrong with them because they had just changed out the carbonation and syrup mix. 3rd time - we got our food and it was cold, my daughters had a long black hair in her chili cheese fries, and my daughter is a blond. 4th time - ordered 2 "Real Ice-cream Sundaes" with hot fudge topping, at $2.39 each plus $.50 extra for pecans. These were the smallest sundaes I have ever seen. Literally like baby sundaes, there was the smallest amount possible of hot fudge, and the $.50 extra charge for the 3 pecan pieces was ridiculous. They were extremely salty and kinda chewy like they were stale. Let's not forget how slow they are at taking an order and bringing it out. While I was ordering the sundaes tonight the girl came on the speaker and while she was taking my order she was talking to someone in the building at the same time, it was distracting her so she got my order wrong and I had to kindly repeat it to her two more times. When I finished she just sat there for about a minute in silence, I finally said hello and she said "oh is this all you want?" There were 3 other cars there and it took about 10 minutes to bring out the worlds smallest sundaes. I have been to this Sonic exactly 4 times (right by my house) and have had bad experiences every time. From getting orders wrong, being overcharged, to one of the workers being a rude smart ass. I feel bad writing negative reviews but we waited 10 minutes at a stall after pressing the button to order and no one ever came on to take it. After waiting so long my husband went to ask if there was a problem with the speaker but he said when he opened the door it looked pretty chaotic in there and no one stopped to ask him if he needed help. So we left. We could tell by the number of cars that they were pretty busy but I feel like this could still be an issue of understaffing or new staff who don't know how to communicate with the customers that they are running a bit slow. So we ordered a medium chilli cheese tator tots, they gave us regular medium tator tots, I asked them to correct my order, they came out with a mini size order. Then we also ordered 2 medium cherry limeades that tasted horrible, like flat Sprite or something we asked for new drinks and they tasted exactly the same, like hello do y'all not check the drinks after someone has complained!! If I could leave NO stars, I would. WORST food I've ever had. The burger was so hard it nearly broke my tooth when I bit into it. I pulled the hard bun off and it had sat under a heat lamp until it was dried out. I should have known when I pulled it out of the bag and it wasn't hot there was something wrong. Then the fries were so salty it was like they'd been dipped in the ocean. I've had better food at McDonald's before... and that should tell you all you need to know! Sent my husband back to get our money back. I'm now making a damn sandwich; which I could have done and not been pissed off while doing it had we just skipped this place! read more

ZERO STARS...I went to Sonic this morning(in kyle off 150). Arrived at 7:55 and there were maybe 2-3 cars at Sonic. I did not get my food until 8:15. Absolutely ridiculous. There were 2 cars when I left. I go to other sonics ALL the time and have NEVER had a problem. I will NEVER go to this sonic again. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
