Swig on Broadway is my absolute must-stop every time I'm downtown. I'm seriously hooked. Whether I'm in the mood for something sweet, salty, or a little bit of both, they've got me covered. My go-to drink is the Raspberry Dream (SO good), but today I tried the Spice Spice Baby and it was amazing. Total fall vibes in a cup. I usually grab a snack too, and honestly, you can't go wrong. The garlic parm pretzels are next-level, the chocolate chip cookies are always soft and delicious, and today I tried the pumpkin cookies... omg. DELICIOUS. Even when there's a line (which there usually is because this place is popular), it moves super fast and the staff is always super friendly and upbeat. Such a fun experience to have in San Antonio! I am a lover of Diet Coke, and I like how I can "make it dirty" with the various drinks they offer. Next time I think I will add some cream to my drink to see how that taste. Swig reminds me of a sonic, but way better! The drive-through was a bit complicated to get through, but once we figured it out service was very quick and we were out within five minutes. Maybe because I had first encountered Swig, Fiiz, and the like in their original market of Utah, I had higher expectations. It's an old Sonic drive in, but they have turned it into a drive thru which is a shame as they could do so much more with the space. The drinks are interesting. All Pepsi products though. They have a few snack items, but the pretzel bites are a great big let down all things considered. You're there for the drinks though. The menu sits on the ground where passengers can't see it for crap. Might want to invest in a few screws there, guys. They don't take cash. Biggest shortcoming by far to force card only purchases. I've been here twice. The first time they had just opened, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like quality has gone down some since then. The teenage staff itself is excellent though. Good at their jobs, speedy service. Can't fault them, but the franchisee needs to put in more effort. They're doing a disservice to the brand. read more

So decadent and delicious. We went on mild Saturday afternoon and the entire parking lot was packed. We parked and walked up to the window to place our order rather than waiting in either of the two drive thru lanes and received our drink quickly. Service was very friendly. I had the seasonal Alpine Avalanche (Dr Pepper, almond roca, toffee, caramel, vanilla cream). All the add-ons made the soda much smoother rather than being full of carbonation and hurting my tummy. It had a slushy consistency and reminded me of a Starbucks drink, just totally full of sugar but yummy. I would order this one again but there were several other flavors I look forward to trying, especially a hot chocolate now that cooler weather is expected. No coffee drinks on the menu. This location had previously been Fizz, another dirty soda chain that only lasted a year. I hope this one makes it. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans can probably help it last. read more

I had no idea what Swig was and learned about it from a popular reality show on Hulu. I live in the Austin area so I was bummed when to find out there wasn't one near us. We planned a trip to San Antonio and I was stoked to see so many locations. We decided once we rolled into town we would make a stop at Swig for a beverage break. This location was an old Sonic. There's an option to go through the drive-thru or order at the window. Since we had been in the car for 2 hours, we opted to order at the window. The young lady who took our order was kind and patient with us as we made our final selections. I went with Island Time - Fresca, passion fruit, mango, and coconut. My son got the Cherry Bomb - Pepsi, vanilla, and coconut. For my husband, he had the Buttery Beer which was root beer, butterscotch, and vanilla. All were very tasty. This is a treat and not something I would drink often because they're so sweet. There was seating in the shade which was perfect for us. It's a fun drink spot on Broadway serving up dirty sodas, refreshers, and reviver energy drinks. They also have some tasty mini chocolate chip cookies (and someone at the drive thru told me they have sugar free ones as well!) If you are looking for a really unique mixed soda spot, this is the place for you. I tried the Drama Queen reviver energy drink that had their SF reviver base, lemonade, SF Coconut, SF Peach, and SF strawberry. I wasn't really feeling coffee, so this was perfect! They have tons of syrup options and you can choose from their menu which has their popular and seasonal drinks, or you can customize to your heart's content. They have two lines that help you move through the drive-way quickly, and employees were informative. Let me start by saying that Isabella is an ALL STAR employee who deserves a raise. She is kind and took the time to listen and wish me a happy birthday. We went by swig for the 3rd time because their sodas are awesome and it's all I was craving for my birthday. Drinks from "swig" are very good and the line at this location moves very quick. THIS NEXT PART IS FOR MANAGEMENT/OWNER When we arrived we drove up and got in line which extended out onto the street. We were facing south on Broadway (swig location on our right) and there was clearly only ONE line. When my girlfriend and I got closer to the actual drive way a woman driving the opposite direction attempted to cut in front of our vehicle. She proceeded to inch closer and closer to our vehicle and the vehicle in front of us. We held our place as she aggressively attempted to cut us off the further we went into the line. She proceeded to yell and curse out of her passenger window but we did not reciprocate. As she placed her order off to the left (clearly out of line) we went around her as did everyone else behind us. However, when Isabella started taking our order we were interrupted by a girl in a pink shirt, whose name I unfortunately did not get. She began telling us not to be aggressive when driving. She stated that there were two lanes (even though there was only ONE line) in the drive thru and that we were the aggressors that cut in line. She proceeded to lecture us about her staff being in danger and continued to berate us as if we were the aggressors. We calmly attempted to explain what happened and we let her know that we had a video of the whole incident. At that point she became more irate and demanded to see the video. We kindly showed her the proof she requested and then AND ONLY THEN did she go silent. She never attempted to apologize for her accusations and just walked away. Another girl in a pink shirt walked up and actually listened to us and quickly remedied the situation. The first girl in the pink shirt could have and should have handled the situation way better than she did. Instead she opted to pick a side and run with it. The core of this problem lies in the way the drive thru is set up. If your staff wants to state that there are two lanes then two lanes need to be made clearly visible. I feel that certain managers, assuming the pink shirts are managers, need to be appropriately trained on how to handle such encounters or at the very least, apologize when proven wrong. Once again your sodas and food products are amazing and so is Isabella and the girl who remedied the situation. Overpriced for just drinks. Service was poor as the lady snapped at my nephew who just asked if he could have one. Extra gummy for his shark attack drink!! Really? Won't be going back. Ambiance.
