Lovvvee this place. The variety is great and staff is super friendly. Mangonadas are the best and it has a super cute atmosphere.
Super disappointing... wish I could give no stars! The hours of business say 1pm -8pm on yelp and on sign. It also states on different sign they will close early at 6pm if weather is cold or slow. I will say the weather is cooler today but it's currently 338pm and the place is completely shut down. This place is not worth the gas if they aren't even going to be open when they say they are.
Aguas Frescas - authentic, fresh made with real ingredients. Italian Ice, tastes like a scoop of paleta. Buy local, support friendly family-owned. Store is fun and clean, A/100 inspection.
When you walk in there are several pictures of their sweet treats posted on the walls. It was nice to see what their menu items look like before ordering. There are also a few menus posted around so it's easy to decide what you want as you're waiting for your turn to order. The ice cream is blocked so you can't see it, but you are able to look at a list of their flavors. The young man working was very kind and patient as we looked at all our options. When I asked about something, he explained what all was in the treat then pointed at the wall and told me where to find the picture. I think many people would have just told me it was on the wall, but he took the time to explain how it was made step by step. We got a brownie sundae which was pretty basic - the brownie and cookies were slightly dry and it was plain vanilla ice cream so it didn't exactly feel worth the money. The Oreo one was definitely worth it, but VERY sweet! There are two Oreos and ice cream sandwich on top of an Oreo milkshake. Man was it good, though!! We wouldn't drive across town for it again, but if we're in the area again I'd try one of their mangonadas or another Mexican treat!
I love their sno cones. These are some of the best sno cones I've ever had. And of course, they have other great things to offer such as corn in a cup, etc.
This place was a very typical snack shop. With chips and cheese, shaved ice, corn in a cup, and even mini pancakes. It was slow/empty when i arrived and i was greeted and served immediately. Staff were friendly and ready to help. Establishment was clean, they have plenty of indoor seating. Chips and cheese (not pictured) were good, cheese was hot! Shaved ice is very much like bahama bucks and not raspa like :(. If you're craving it, check them out, prices were pricey so I wouldn't make it a habit.
Overall it was a cute place to grab a snack. The are was sketchy though so we probably won't be back. Orders: Cotton candy shave Ice Strawberry delight (I think?) It was all very good! We just popped in and out though so not much to say about service or snacking in.
Amazing food! But a bit overwhelming on what you can order. Delicious as heck, but I feel I would need an old fashioned diner menu to know all of my options.
5 star service from the friendly staff! Clean, calm spot (when I came anyway)! I've passed by before and there was lots of people! It's evident too from the laid out & roped off entrance & exit, which organizes how to line up w/ directions as you enter. Woman who I ordered with was really nice. Answered my question inquiring what was in the cucumber split-mango Italian ice and more! I wanted it to be smaller so I didn't order it. Ordered nachos w/ jalapeños and a small strawberry Italian ice. Nachos were the familiar favorite & exactly as expected. Italian ice was super soft and quite tasty. It wasn't at all overly sweet, in fact, I kind of wanted sweeter. I also didn't ask if it was an option to get two different kinds in the choice of flavors. I didn't even think about it. Honestly, for the taste I wanted, a mini with one scoop would've served me perfectly. Some of the other snacks looked like super sized snacks. I just wanted little snacks. Ha. Maverick, who is the assistant manager & prepared both of my things was super friendly & when I told him I wanted the cucumber split, but thought it was too big, he said to try it next time because it's served in the same dish as the nachos, so it's not very big. He also said the Italian ice does pretty well in the freezer if you don't finish it. Aguas frescas are also made fresh in house. I'll be back to try at least a few more things on their extensive menu! Only criticism is beyond their control, or maybe something to bring up with building management since it's outside of the store- There were a couple of unhoused people sitting next to the building drinking and tweeking. They weren't a bother but in that mental state, we all just have to be safe & aware of our surroundings (wherever we go, really), that's all.
Their snow cones are beautiful and taste great too. They add condensed milk to our that gave it an extra sweet flavor. The inside of the restaurant is a bit sticky though, which I suppose could be expected with kids and melting sweets. Service was typical. There was not a lot of seating, we ended up taking ours to go.
Food was delicious prices are awesome mango flavored Piccadilly was awesome reminded me of home in Corpus Christi corn in the cup was yummy too highly recommend you stop by during the summer for a true Mexican treat

So many flavors! I love there is an option to sit inside and not just a drive through. Love the options to have ice cream and cream. Employees are all nice and they were pretty fast. Cheerful environment and you can even play games while you eat. read more

Unless I'm out in Hawaii or somewhere out west, I'm usually pretty skeptical of Hawaiian themed places that sell poke, musubi, or in this case, shaved ice. Aloha caught me by surprise for offering a lovely version of shaved ice; one that had me wanting more. Now after having gone back a time or two, I am super appreciative that something like this exists in San Antonio. For starters, they've been taking the pandemic seriously. There is still no indoor dining and they have folks socially distant for every line that forms. They have sanitizer at the tables and offer touchless payment options and the staff is masked up. (#1) The AC is blasting in the place and they have the proper decor (surfboard too!) to give the place a pseudo-tropical feel. They'll even rock a 10% discount for a social media follow. I went the strawberry and pineapple explosion, which is strawberry / pineapple flavored shaved ice with fruit over a bed of ice cream and topped off with condensed milk. It was sweet, refreshing, and everything I wanted. In fact, it was the best way to get acquainted with the business and is a personal highlight for me down here. The woman behind the register had also mentioned that "everything is good." I usually never take that to heart, but somehow I ordered very random things and still managed to enjoy them all. Everything from birthday cake ice cream, mangonadas, esquite (or as they call it: "corn in a cup"), and she was right: it really was all very good. Before any island lovers get too amped up about this, I would still maintain real Hawaiian spots are goals, but this is a solid alternative. The staff is mainly all Spanish speaking and are pretty friendly. The menu is adjusted to adhere to the local tastes, which is why there's aguas fresas, supernadas, nachos, etc. If there was any drag, it was the super sticky floor, table surfaces, and grubby door handles. This is a result of people eating their desserts early and/or spilling around them. Most of the culprit is melted ice cream or syrup. I hope they take the time to clean things up so that it's not a pervasive problem. ___________ (#1) If only we could say the same about the patrons. read more

These mini pancakes are always in my dreams! I always come here when I have a sweet tooth. The employees are always so sweet and patient with me. I'm always curious about things on the menu or in the fridge behind them. They always recommend the good stuff and I'm never let down! I appreciate the cleanliness of the shop. If you come after 7 sometimes they are closed, key thing to look for are the benches outside. If they are pulled inside they are closing even though it says they close at 8. Pickled cucumbers are also sold here which are not on the menu BUT YOU MUST TRY THEM! read more
Insta@dish_360 Anyone else trying to escape the heat? We had heard great things about ASI, and they did not disappoint! This place was an instant hit, and we will certainly be back in the near future. Strawberry Pineapple Explosion An enormous heaping of strawberry and pineapple shaved ice decorated with strawberry and pineapple chunks, a healthy drizzle of condensed milk, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream buried inside. Surprisingly, this was my favorite. It wasn't over the top sweet, but just sweet enough to keep you coming back for more. Side note: The pineapple wasn't great. I love pineapple, but the one we had wasn't ripe. It was hard and hadn't had the chance to sweeten yet. We tossed those but it was likely just a one off. Extreme Fresanada This treat was everything you could want in your hood snack. The embodiment of the young chola middle school mood. Chamoy galore. Chamoy drizzle over mango sorbet. Adorned with a tamarind candy stick, sourbelt, and a strawberry topper. Brownie We made an impulse buy at the register. The brownie was not a fair representation of the quality of snacks this location is capable of. COVID Social distancing markers and masks enforced. Insta@dish_360 read more

Awesome place! I had been at a restaurant down the street and was craving something cold and refreshing, most people want a drink I wanted shaved ice. After looking around I stumbled upon this place. It had great reviews and appeared to have easy going prices! Because of that I had to try! We walked in and we're greet and felt welcomed. It was cool inside literally, and had the menu wall with a huge display so everyone can read. The prices were good and the smells were better. There was so much to choose from but I cracked and I choose a simple snow cone. To me, it was too notch and I couldn't asked for anything better. Staff was great too, can't forget them. read more
This was a first visit for me. I'm super impressed with the excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the establishment. When I arrived and standing in line I thought it would be a long process however they were very well organized in taking orders and fulfilling them. There was social distancing and carry out only. Many items to choose from so whatever your tastebuds desire. I decided on the Strawberry pineapple explosion. It was fresh pineapples and strawberries loaded on top of the smooth ice. I opted not to get the scoop of ice cream. I also got nachos with jalapeños very fresh as well. Once again!!! Yum Well it gets better I picked up my 6 grandchildren to spend the weekend and we made a trip to give them the experience. One choose the Oreo overload and the other Cookie Monster. It was more than enough. The little ones got shaved ice and one was a plain chocolate shake. I got the corn and it was delicious Well tomorrow we will go back to try something else. I love great customer service and good fresh food or fruit or dessert all of read more

You know this place is the "go to" in the community as soon as you walk in. It was nice to see others leave with their concoctions. Straight art. Got a medium strawberry explosion which consisted of shaved ice with strawberry syrup, homemade vanilla (blue bell tasting) icecream sandwiched in the middle with strawberries on top. They added their homemade cream on top I think, whatever it was it's delicious. Next time I'd get a 32 oz Fresca and strawberry and cream. Especially in this San Antonio summer heat. So good. They have a organized system of directing customers and orders come out quickly. read more

I finally went to try this place. I'm always on the hunt for the best mangonada. This place is not close to me but I wanted to try it out so I took a drive. When you go inside they are practice social distance and they have a set up to walk against the walls. And after you order you there are certain squares to stand In to wait in. I did feel safe and it was very clean. So they offer a variety of sizes. I was so happy they offered a mini size. I ordered a mini mangonada and starwberries and cream. The mangonada was very good there were some chunks of mango in it not too purée but very good. The strawberry and cream was not like the traditional strawberry cream. The cream was thicker in consistency. Which isn't bad but it tasted like Strawberry and whip cream. Over all everything was very good. Give it a try there is a lot on the menu for other options. read more
