Fine--things break. So we drove up to the window to order. And then the employee literally DISAPPEARED. We sat at the window waiting. We beeped the horn repeatedly. Nothing. My kids finally got out and walked around the entire restaurant trying to find someone--NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE IN SIGHT. It genuinely seemed like the woman working the window was hiding so she wouldn't have to take our order. If you hate your job that much, please find another one. Customers shouldn't have to play hide-and-seek with the staff just to order food. Broken equipment, nonexistent customer service, and an employee who apparently vanished into another dimension. What a terrible place. I have never had a bad experience at any sonics back at home. But this place was horrendous, food was cold and disgusting. No shakes or slush's when trying to order which was around 9:00 pm. Pretty sure they just shut it down for the night, just so disappointing. Couldn't even eat our burgers so just wasted over $45.00. We stopped here after a very long drive to Key West! It's been a while since we had an evening ROUTE 44 BOGO!! We love our Cherry Lime ‍ Ade! We were so happy that we got Cherries & fresh limes in our cups! Our last time to Florida we went to the Melbourne location and only got The soda! It's just not the same Without them! We decided to stay and sit at the tables, Pocia took our order and delivered them to us at the very well maintained eating area! Sad that this location has such a low rating. The service was great quick, friendly, and they delivered to your car. Something like a two or a low three from me. They're okay, alright, I guess. I've really only been happy once not too long after they first opened. They pretty consistently put out a sloppy burger, sort of known for it with us; ridiculous amounts of condiments and such. They gave me some buggery once too, was enough to put me off of them for a while. This last time in I noticed five cherry stems in my cherry limeade and realized I only had one cherry leaving my imagination running and prompting this review for you. Based on the reviews I would have passed this place up so easily. I guess thankfully I didn't read them, because I had a great experience here. I stopped by this Sonic on my way out of the Keys after a great weekend. I wanted something quick and something I could grab and go. I decided to go through the tradition drive-thru. The girl who waited on me was more than friendly. I placed my order, went to the window, paid and within a few minutes (legit maybe two or three max?) I had my food. My burger was really tasty! The meat tasted fresh as well as they lettuce and tomato. Tons of condiments on a nice bun. Delicious. The fries were hot and salty too, just what I needed. I upgraded my drink for a limeade, because, I'm worth it, and it was worth it. I love those cherry limeades, even the diet version. Overall I can't really say anything bad about this experience. Ive been SEVERAL times to this sonic before writing this review. It is consistently good! I've ordered every way possible (mobile, drive thru, and carhop) and all options at lunch time are fast and fresh and hot! They get my order correct every time which is a definite plus in my book! Everthing about the order was wrong. No ranch as requested to go with my cheddar peppers. Tater Tots tasted several days old. My burger had no mustard and they never brought the packet I asked for. Iced tea had no tea and all ice. My husband ordered a burger with mustard, lettuce and tomatoes only. It came with cheese, no mustard. He cannot eat cheese. This was the first time I have ever been to a Sonic. My son and I were excited. Sadly, the man who took our order, Jay, was incredibly rude. Strange place for sure! Ordered through app and had to wait for a long time once we got there. Was getting to the point we were getting ready to push the call button but finally they showed up with the food. Food was not very warm and had a lot to be desired. We watched as a couple rode their bikes up to the restaurant (which has a bike rack) and they could figure out where to order at. The order panels in the middle apparently weren't working or the employees were not responding. Living in the lower keys, it's a rare treat to come and grab fast food every couple weeks. I always enjoy my food here from sonic. However, I can't say they've gotten my order correct one single time I've been here. I don't understand how it happens every time I come through, as my order is repeated back to me correctly but I still receive incorrect meals and sauces. I often order for somebody with food allergies, and this is very negligent on the restaurant's part, as I order specific items that can fit into their diet. read more
