We ordered 4 blast master shakes. 3 med @ $6.40 a piece and a small @ $5.40. You would think that when you order a small vs a medium there would be a difference in the amount of ice cream you get in the cup right? A medium to me would have more than a small. Well, it actually looks like the small has more. As seen in pics below. I asked them about that and the first girl in the window seemed like she was willing to help and top off the cup to the top of where it should be. The manager told her no. So I proceeded to ask to speak w the manager so I could maybe get a better understanding and answer. She told me that this is their standard and that she would have not do it to this one blaster and that's just their standard! As she brought that one back to the window (w attitude) I tried ask her why they seemed not full. She said have a nice day and slammed the window in my face and walked away! I'm sorry but having worked in the F&B industry and a manager myself, I don't think that was very appropriate and professional! I forgot to take a pic of the one I asked her to put it to the top to compare all 3 of them. But the left one is the small and the right is the medium. You can clearly see the medium looks like it almost even has less than the small! Not sure if anyone else has ran into this problem. Angela , an employee at this Sonic went out of her way for me and provided excellent customer service! I ordered the new unicorn slushy, and Emilly walked up to my door with a big smile on her face and proceeded to hand me my slushy. But before she handed me my slushy, she hesitated and asked me if I wanted the pink unicorn straw instead of the purple one. Seems like such a little thing, but it was so thoughtful of her given that she does not get paid enough to think about small things like that. Without me even asking, she already knew what I wanted. Corporate sonic if you're reading this, get Emilly up in your office full-time and pay a bunch of money because it'll be worth it. The Garlic Butter Bacon Burger is always a favorite for me and my best friend. I absolutely hate melted cheese, and my friend does not, so on instinct when we got our bag of food my friend went to open both burgers and manually check which is which. But no need for all that! They kindly put a "No Cheese" sticker on my burgers wrapping. The person who delivered the food to our car ran into the 20 degree weather in short sleeves and apologized for the wait, which couldn't have been near even ten minutes. We always have so much fun sitting in the car and talking with the exact dinner we craved. I recommend always making the friend with the biggest car drive you so you can have proper space for your meal. read more

I love how this location finally put a drive-thru window in! It makes it so convenient and fast. We came here the other day to get a couple of Ocean Water drinks. Honestly, you can't beat the price! They have wonderful Happy Hour pricing as well which is cool for a non-alcohol establishment to offer! I like the old-school feel of parking and having a car-hop bring out our order and it is nice to enjoy our drinks under the carport and out of the sun. They have amazingly delicious beverages with the popular pebble ice. I have bought bags of their ice before because we love that kind of ice in our drinks. My favorite drink to get here is Ocean Water. It is basically Sprite with coconut flavoring....so delicious! I have not tried their food, so I cannot speak on that, but I have heard from other people that it is good; especially their mozzarella sticks. This place is a refreshing afternoon treat! read more

Literally the worst fast food experience I've had. Ordered a large jumbo popcorn chicken combo and got a small clump of chicken not even a 1/4 of the bowl full. noticed they forgot the large tater tots that are supposed to come with the meal (how do they forget that?) so when I asked for my tater tots I pointed out how little chicken I had and she said they judge it by eye when serving It and I couldn't have more. plus the "fresh" tater tots were cold. then when I unwraped my quarter point double cheeseburger the buns were smashed like they were squeezed between two palms, one patty was split in half and falling apart and they were both burnt on the outer layer of the patty. I don't know what's happened to the staff since I visited last month but back then they knew how to actually make the food on the menu opposed to how bad they did on this visit. Update: went to another sonic and ordered a medium size chicken and it was double the size of the amount I got from this location. So definitely won't be back. I'm a Hawaii kid and we don't have sonic in Hawaii. But I see all the commercials and salivate at all the yummy milkshake concoctions on tv. -___- soooo luckily, my brother lives 2 minutes away from this sonic drive in. So cool!! It's like those old timer drive ins, where you pull up, order, the food is brought out to you and you can eat in your car. Yeah, it's a pretty slow process, but it's an experience!!! If you want a drive thru, go to mcdonalds.... I'm glad they have this button to push when you're ready to order, otherwise they would have had to listen to our 8 minute conversation about which milkshakes to order. I settled on the peanut butter with Oreo milkshake, which only came out to like $2 because they are half off after 8pm!!!! Omg! How can people not like this place. Ok, well yeah, I didn't try any of their burgers, but the milkshakes are so good and inexpensive!!! I stole all the cherries from all the milkshakes we ordered, definite plus. Food is usually pretty good, even if you have to wait a minute for it. We always come for the tater tots and are seldom disappointed. Except today, naturally. Apparently, they "just" opened (though the Yelp and Google pages say they open at six) and the cook FORGOT to turn the fryer on. So no tater tots are available. Even if they open at seven instead of six, every breakfast meal comes with tots. The good burritos have tots *in* them. This means that you can only order sandwiches, and no sides. We're doing laundry down the road and couldn't stick around until they actually got their kitchen completely up and running. My sandwich was okay, but my wife's chicken was really dry and disappointing. Overall, we should've just gone to the gas station across the road. read more

Consistently poor service and food quality. The only reason I keep coming back is because it's less than a minute from my house and I get cravings for shakes easily. Luckily for this sonic, that's their only redeeming quality keeping them from 1 star. Went last night and ordered two of the Chicken Strip Dinner meals. The sides of gravy were literally just milky water that wouldn't even stick to the food when dipped in. When I came back to get something else, I wasn't offered a refund, only new dipping sauces, and then still had to pay the $2.14 for the coney I ordered instead. So in addition to the other food I bought, I paid almost $7 for 3 dry chicken strips, one onion ring, and a piece of toast. NICE. Maybe offer some better incentives to people you've already inconvenienced. Beyond that- I've overheard employees being entirely inappropriate in the courtyard area, discussing plans to jump and hurt people in retaliation for some trailer park drama. Golden is a really great area to live but this Sonic and its employees need an upgrade. Also you need to start serving Cheddar Bites. What's up with that? read more

The reason this gets two stars was how quickly our order was taken when we pushed the button on the stall. The reason it's not 5 stars? Read below: We waited for our order for 10-15 minutes, which wasn't terrible, but seemed long for how non-crowded it was when we arrived. The person brought our order out, handed it to us, and left before I could even ask for sauce for my chicken tenders (I thought maybe they should have offered without me having to ask, but whatever). Then, my boyfriend goes to eat his burger, and we have the wrong thing - they charged us for extra bacon on a regular cheeseburger and gave us a bacon burger, but we didn't want bacon on it at all. Fine, easy mistake to make, not that big of a deal, but we wanted to get what we actually ordered. So we press the button and explain the situation, and the person taking orders comes out and says "oh, I knew I screwed that up, whoops" and takes the burger and our receipt back inside to fix it. We wait for about 10 minutes and she comes out again, saying "we're waiting on fresh meat, that's why it's taking awhile." Then, 5 minutes later, a different employee delivers a bag with a burger in it without our original receipt. Since we keep our receipts for credit card transactions, we asked for him to grab it, and he brings out our receipt, clearly crumpled and greasy, which again, whatever, but not super premium in experience. Then, the real reason this review is so bad: as we're sitting there, we open up the burger and it's the SAME DARN BURGER, bacon and all. Since we had already wasted so much time, we just left. Got the order wrong, whatever... it was after that where it was alarming. She forgot my hot dog. Then asked me if I was sure I wanted it. Then brings out change and asks us if we want our 75cents... which is fine I don't need the 75 cents. But you already messed the order up twice you would think they would at least try and give me the appropriate change... very weird experience. I'm debating between a 1 and 2 star rating. I love Sonic but this location was terrible. First we pulled up to stall 15 but our order was popping up on stall 13. Then the wait took forever. Maybe it's because we came during the lunch time rush but it was a pretty long wait. Then because we couldn't see our order on the screen and they never read back our order they charged me for a double cheese burger instead of the regular I wanted. They also didn't give or ask what kind of sauce we wanted for our popcorn chicken and same with ketchup.
