I got the #5, crispy chicken sandwich on Texas toast. The chicken itself was nice and crispy, but some of the lettuce was brown. I waited for a while for someone to take my order after pressing the red button but then I decided to switch to another spot and order from there. I thought it was working but no one took my order still, so that's when I decided to go through the actual drive-through. Customer service sucks. Let's be honest, nobody goes to Sonic for the food, especially with an In-N-Out across the street. Went on a Saturday afternoon at 3 pm with good weather to check the place out. We all know the REAL reason why people would go here instead of a quality place like In-N-Out. It is in hopes of seeing a pretty girl on roller skates fall on her face and spill food and drink over the place. Or to see her do some neat tricks on skates. Sadly, this place can't even provide that. No carhops on skates. In other words this isn't a real Sonic. So instead of me willing to get a small drink and a $20 tip to a nice lady on skates who can put on a show, I just decided to go home. Yes, sometimes I go out to be entertained and not just for the food. Oh well, just a matter of time until In-N-Out puts them out of business and can claim that place to get a much needed Drive-thru for them. UPDATE: just went back there tonight after taking a friend out for a birthday at Claim Jumper and sure enough, this place is making zero effort to compete with In-N-Out. Don't waste your money here on subpar food and bad service when you can get better food for cheaper and faster at In-N-Out. At least the one in Anaheim had at least one nice lady roller skating during the evening hours and seems to be making some effort to be a real Sonic. read more

Typically I wouldn't leave a bad review, but I feel the need to. The Guy who took my order was flat out rude. He was upset because he couldnt hear me, yes that's not my fault the music is playing too loud and he cannot hear me. I ordered a kids meal for my nephew, chicken strips with fries. They gave me tator tots. He's the pickiest kid and won't eat tots. So those went to waste. I ordered him a m&m sonic blast and the guy never asked me what size, and I paid for a large. Ok so I lm headed out to Az from LA and I wanted something to eat on the way. Sonic is more in the OC area so I saw how low the rating was at this location but I was hungry so I ordered the #3 with light salt on the patty. They send a burger with just meat and cheese sleigh nothing else so when I press the button to let them know; they respond as if I made the mistake. So the guy on skates comes back takes the burger says " I'll be right back sir" and then I waited and waited for them to correct their mistake...now I have cold fries and a burger that took way long. Ordered a Large Snickers sonic blast to share. The candy to ice cream ratio is a joke. The entire center of the cup was air, they filled the ice cream cup on the outside only. This has to be the SLOWEST "fast food" restaurant in America. We pressed the button in the stall, waited 10 minutes and nobody ever answered. So we decided to pull out and into the drive-thru. Waited at the order board for 5 more minutes and nobody responded to us there either. What is going on with this location? I use to love coming here but the customer service has seriously gone down the drain. Employees are either confused or rude, and aren't proactive when it comes to problem solving. Someone orders a ton of food at the window instead of at the speaker? Ask them to park so you can continue serving everyone else in line while you also make that persons food. If the driver refuses to move then start taking peoples $ and giving them their orders while they're in lining waiting so they can leave (they use to do that). Literally waited in line for 45 minutes when the line wasn't that long to begin with. People started leaving the line tonight, even after they'd already ordered. This is just one a many bad experiences we've had in the last six months or so. Today's experience just happened to be the final straw. read more

The other night it was too hot to cook so the kids chose Sonic. We drove 20 minutes to the nearest one, 2 cities over. We pulled up, and only the drive through was open due to being short staffed. .The line was long but we all wanted to wait. It took is about 40 minutes from getting there to getting our food. The staff apologized about the wait, which we told them not to worry, it was no problem. The food and slushies were delicious and hit the spot. The staff was great. There were some people in line frustrated and one lady even peeled out of the parking lot. If you don't want to wait for others to make your food exactly the way you want it, then stay home and cook it yourself. These kids are working with what they have. I had seen the new special Footlong Hotdog and tater tots special so I had to try the Chicago dog with sport peppers. Let me tell you I was very happy, It truly tastes like the hot dogs I ate at Wrigley field on my last visit [except for half the price and twice the size]. As for the location, i pulled up and had trouble reading the small display. I pushed the button and a red light started blinking but for about 6-8 minutes, no one came out and no intercom. I didn't really know how to order so I got in the drive thru line, ordered then pulled over and ate my dog. No problem. I go out of my way to come to this specific Sonic. They didn't want to honor my Yelp deal. The savings was only like 60 cents. I still come and haven't complained that the last several times have taken a long time to get my order. Probably not the best covid safety guidelines. We ordered 2 shakes for our kids and we pull up to the window and see a worker with her mask below her mouth so her nose and mouth are NOT covered she then proceeds to make our shakes. She's wearing gloves pulls her mask up (with gloves on) but her nose and mouth are still not covered. Does NOT change her gloves and starts making the shakes. Super messy and with the same gloves that she was touching her mask she grabs the cherries and puts them into the shake. This whole pandemic I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe getting food or drinks through a drive thru. This is the closest sonic location to my home. It used to be a tradition to take the kids to this spot after visiting grandma. Over the years, the service a gone downhill. It seems as if the staff is just a bunch of kids annoyed to be at work. I had one server get annoyed that I asked for mustard. I waited and ended up finishing my food and leaving before anyone brought it to me. I've gotten the wrong candy in my blast. I've gotten a chili dog with about a spoonful of chili on it. I've asked for napkins only to never receive them. These aren't just Covid times issues. These issues started well before. I didn't have much expectations from a fast food restaurant chain, but it's even worse than I thought. My boyfriend and I ordered mozzarella sticks, chili cheese tater tots, and an Oreo shake, and they came out within 20 minutes. The food was decent. I love mozzarella sticks, so can't really go wrong with that and they didn't thankfully! We wanted to order two chicken sandwiches to-go for my boyfriend's family, and so we ordered it while we were waiting for our first order to arrive. It took at least 30 minutes before I had to ask where our food was, and the person on the drive-in made it seem like they completely forgot about our order. About 5-10 minutes later (which is probably how long it took them to make it), the server comes out with our order and has barely any decency to slip out a "Sorry" without any eye contact before rushing back inside. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess don't come here unless you want to order a shake and waste your time. read more
