Does anyone else feel like they're in a twilight zone at this location? You have to repeat your order at least five times and they STILL get it wrong: "One foot long plain hot dog" "Is that a six inch or foot long?" "Foot long" "So one chili cheese foot long " "No plain" (Silence) Once you get to the window triple check your order because more than likely something is missing or off. They left off a drink and when I asked for it the cashier says "oh it wasn't on your receipt" and hands me the receipt with a dumbfounded look on her face. Sonic blast extra candy= melted ice cream and candy mix on the outside and pure vanilla on the inside. Explanation: we top the blast off with vanilla ice cream. If that's the case, there would be a point where the vanilla stops and the blast begins. The vanilla should not continue all the way to the bottom. read more

Inconsistent. One day their ice cream mixer is broken, the next day it's fixed and the day after that it's broken again. One employee told me the machine is always working. For a company that advertises ice cream they should ensure their equipment ment is working. Sucks they closed the Anaheim location bc I never had an issue there. read more

The check-in didn't work. I placed an order on the app. Pulled up and parked in one of the stalls. Tried to check-in and it said "invalid number." I did it several times and same issue. It wouldn't let me check in. I had to get out of my car and tell them I had arrived. My order wasn't ready though, they were still working on it. I went back to my car and waited. They eventually brought it out. The ambiance was very busy. Most of the stalls were taken already when I pulled up. The mozzarella sticks weren't the best. My first time to go to this Sonic was actually for a Yelp Elite Event. It was fun to go and an interesting experience. I'd always enjoyed Sonic at other locations, and this one is closer to home so I was hoping for a great time. It was fun because of the Elite event, but service wasn't up to par even that night and they even forgot I was waiting out there for them to bring me my order. But fast forward to a couple years later, I took my husband back because he had never been to a Sonic and wanted the experience. I love the sonic experience normally so back I went with him. Wow was the service ever slow!! And what makes it even more annoying is that the screens here (on both of my experiences) don't update after the food starts cooking. So you are in an unknown limbo. Because of my forgotten order at the Elite event, we checked in after quite a long wait.... nobody answered. Tried again a couple times, nobody answered. After a VERY long wait our food finally came out. No sauce, no napkins and missing an item. Ugh. I really really want to love you Sonic in Fullerton, but you are losing me man! Because I do like the food and LOVE the slushies, I will be back, but it seems too coincidental that both times I have been here my orders have been completely messed up (or forgotten) and took far too long for a "fast food" place. When I pulled up to order at 11:30pm I asked for one second because I wasn't sure what I wanted and there were no cars behind me. The lady taking my order instantly responded and said "if you're not ready to order can you pull into a spot." Mind you, there were no cars in line behind us, but we obliged nonetheless. Been having one of those weeks where you just want to eat junk food to forget the week ever happened! Lol I looked at the menu and picked out the strawberry mangonada slush with a hint of tajin. It was really really sweet not my favorite but I do love their other drinks and shakes here, had to try something new though. we also got two grilled cheese, a hot dog, some mozzarella sticks which were good, got onion rings but those tasted so sweet it was so weird sort of like a funnel cake with onions inside LOL idk about those but the milk shake was delicious I didn't get a photo of that though. Pulled up to the drive thru window and unfortunately sat for another 25 minutes there making a grand total of 50 minutes to wait for 2 entrees; a footlong chili cheese dog and a large chicken bite. Since my last review was in 2012, I'm going to assume I've haven't been here since then! I don't live super close to this one so if I visit, so I remember this place by Googling "Fast Food Restaurants Near Me." and lo and behold, Sonic popped up! The app was fairly straight forward, but I did have to hunt and peck to find exactly what I wanted. I ended up with just a regular burger meal with tater tots and a drink. What I couldn't find was a way to upgrade the drink to a large. It might be there; it was just obvious to me if it was. I pulled into the parking lot and was a little confused about if I just pull up to any stop, or what. Since there were more spots on the other side, I pulled around, and for the first time I've noticed, they have a drive-thru! I didn't know Sonic's had drive-thrus since you can order from any parking spot. When I reached the other side, I saw the parking spots for mobile order and pulled in. You type in your stall number into the app, and a few minutes later, out came my food! Checking my bag before leaving, I had a childhood flashback when I saw the silver wrappings for the burger and tater-tots. I reminded me of our local A&W which used to do that. I know, I know... little things excited me. After I got home, I have to tell you, that was a tasty burger. I was impressed. And the tater-tots with cheese, perfect. I did wish my drink was larger, but that's really complaining about nothing. This is not your typical Sonic review as I haven't eaten here in years. I come here for the ice! I'm usually more of a wino but I recently started making Tiki cocktails at home. A friend mentioned that the ice at Sonic is the greatest for making these cocktails and I now agree! This location is only a block from my home so when I feel like making some drinks at home, I'll go through the drive thru and order an extra large cup of ice. They obviously get this order frequently since they don't even question it. It's a mere 96 cents for an extra large cup of their great pebble ice. They also sell a ten pound bag but unfortunately I don't have the room in my freezer for it. The drive thru ordering screen actually promotes their ten pound bag of ice. I ordered one small shake on mobile order 15 minutes before arriving thinking that would be enough time, drive through seems to be moving pretty quickly, but I'm stuck in a stall still waiting for my drink 30 minutes later. I always come for the shakes because they're good, but I didn't think it would take this long :/ Got my drink 30 minutes later AFTER waiting outside their door (probably never would have gotten it if I hadn't) and they proceed to tell me that the stalls weren't in service (it was 11:30pm) i checked in on the app at 10:57 - when it said my drink would be ready - and there was no option for drive-thru ONLY the stall. If you are not going to take the orders of countless other cars in the stalls, I recommend you put a sign up or change the ordering system online so others don't have to go through this horrible experience. read more

The food was good, the stalls where you would park was clean. The eating area was also clean. I ordered pick for pickup and the food came out quick. The young lady didn't ask if I needed anything else and wasn't very welcoming. There was something that I had forgot to order and decided to place it at the stall. The second order came out quick too. I wanted a cup of ice. I had to throw the ice away because there were pieces of unions in it. The plus was that the second attendant was a very pleasant young man. He was kind and made me feel appreciated. Maybe the young lady was having a bad day. We are all human. I would still come back because it's not often that the experience is negative and the second server, the guy, made up for the lack of attention. Stopped by for a treat in my way back to hotel. Location is convenient as it's right near a few hotels and on a populated road. There aren't a lot of people when I stoped in, maybe 3-4 cars in the carhops and only 1 ahead of me in line. The service was a little slow as the person ahead of me had their door opened and it was unclear if they were just chatty or if there was an issue with their order but they were there for a while. When I pulled up my order was pretty quick and I was on my way. Ice cream was tasty and had plenty of mix ins in my sonic blast of choice. We came and pulled into one of the stalls to order. When we ordered, the machine didn't give us a pay confirmation receipt. We called to check if it had gone through and they said if it didnt go through, they'd come to our car with our food when it was ready and we could pay then. 20 minutes later, still nothing. We decided to go through the drive thru instead and right before we got to the window, someone came to our car to deliver our food, cold as ice.
