Talk about absolutely TERRIBLE service! It took over 10 minutes for someone to take our order, the display screen was broken so we couldn't even verify that our order was correct and then we waited 30 minutes for our food. Mind you, the drive thru moved quickly and there weren't a lot of customers parked and waiting so what was the hold up? We asked an employee what was taking so long with our order and she act dazed and confused. Shortly thereafter she came out with our food. All of our burgers and corn dog were barely warm. All of our tots were cold! If our food wasn't going to be hot and fresh, what was the hold up??? I took our tots to the employee door and told the "manager" that they were cold and our food was barely warm. I should've returned everything but at this point, my kids were starving after waiting so long. The employee brings me out piping hot tots... and why couldn't we get food like this from the beginning without me saying something? I'm still confused as to what took so long if our food wasn't going to be fresh?!? My daughter took one bite of her corn dog and no longer wanted it. Our burgers were dry with hardly any Mayo. This review is only for their drinks. This particular location doesn't ever seem as crowded as the others. The great thing is that there's also a drive-thru in addition to the carports. Happy Hour is from 2-5pm and it's 50% their slushies and drinks, which is a great deal! I'm a fan of their strawberry lemonade slushes (also great if you take it home and turn it into an adult beverage). I guess the people in front of us in the drive thru had a large order, so it was taking awhile. I was impressed by the fact that someone came out to get our payment in the drive thru and brought our drinks out to us so that we could pull out of the drive thru. I was handed my milkshake and the entire outside of the cup was coated in icecream. I asked the employee ( really ) and his response was oh , I can get you some napkins which took about 3 to 4 minutes. Everyone is welcome here. Very friendly car hop drive-in. Also drive thru window or outdoor seating. Very affordable American and Mexican food and desserts. Good place to go during a crisis. MMmm if you've never had a strawberry limeaid on a hot summer day you definitely gotta come get one. It's even better during happy hours daily from 2-4PM when all drinks are 50% off. You can literally customize your own drink from their expensive list of drink choices. I think there was about 400,000 different possible combination.. This is the newest Sonic's location in socal and located right off the 57 directly across from Innout. If you've never been to a Sonic's this will bring back those nostalgic memories of drive-in diners where the servers would serve your food on roller skates this is the place to go. The wait can definitely be abit long during rush hours but the wait is definitely worth it. The onion rings along with a classic Sonic burger just hits the spots. The best yet it's great late night munchie food for after clubbing or those late night parties. read more

Waited over 30 minutes for 3 drinks and an order of mozzarella sticks. 2 shakes came out Luke warm. When asked if they can be remade to actually be cold.. was told that that's just how they were and they wouldn't do anything about it. Brought home an ocean water drink without tasting it beforehand (big mistake) and it literally tasted like water with a dropping of food coloring. I recently visited Sonic and I want to highlight the amazing service I received from Kenya at the drive-thru. Despite the long line and witnessing a customer behind me get out of his car to go rudely yell at her over the wait, she remained incredibly polite and calm. When it was my turn, she greeted me with a smile, ensured my order was correct, and wished me a good day. However, it's clear that she was overwhelmed. The wait time was much longer than expected which I believe is due to the shortage of staff in the morning because this is not the fisrt time i've been asked to be patient in the morning because they are short-staffed!! I highly recommend management hire more staff to help out in the mornings. Not only would this reduce the wait time for customers, but it would also ensure that their employees aren't stretched so thin!! With more support, the overall experience could easily go from good to great. read more

Really wanted to hold off writing this. What happened to Sonic!? This was a pretty decent nostalgic place - not anymore. Once we pulled in to the stall and hit the button it literally took 25 minutes for someone to answer (even though they can hear everything on the intercom and know exactly how frustrating it is with kids in the car). I should have read the reviews before getting disappointed. Every time I ask if they had an item - the response was "no" and felt rushed through the order. If you can picture what epitome of " I'm annoyed with my job" looks like that's exactly what was felt through the speaker! I understand when there is a ton of clients and it's rush hour but there was literally 2 cars in the whole place. It took another 15 minutes for the order to arrive. Let me tell you stuff was just thrown together in the bag, nothing was labeled, the fries were as cold as my ex's heart. Even the Sonic Blasts: Oreo, chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry cheesecake blast were all the same; melting and no flavor. Not to mention had to go on mystery mission to find out which one was which! The chicken sandwiches were hard as a rock. The kids were so hangry that they didn't even care how their food was prepared. And the worst part of all - no more car hops!!! Ah man, I would be happy just with decent food. I think the management is lacking in providing a place where employees would feel like they accomplish something by working there, as well as provide growth and opportunities. I went to Sonic Drive-In around 8PM on a Friday night and had an absolutely frustrating time trying to order. It seems that no matter if you are ordering at a stall or order at the drive thru, the sonic employees cannot hear nor understand us. I am a frequent sonic customer and I am very close to just giving up coming here because it is a hassle every time I order. (I know there are online ordering options but this shouldn't even be a problem). NOT TO MENTION, this problem only persists at this sonic and not the one in anaheim. To Sonic Managment: Please consider getting a new speaker system because you're losing customers for no good reason. Take care of your restaurant and act like you care about the place. read more

My experience with Sonic has always been okay; never good or bad, but this one, omfg, like I can't even with this place. First off, the guy that was taking our order at one of the stalls kept messing up our order. Literally all we ordered was a limeade, meal #11 with a large dr. pepper, and chili cheese tots. So he messed up the order on the screens; he switched us with another stall's order, and he NEVER repeated our order CORRECTLY. With that being said, guy comes out 20 minutes later, with the wrong order. He brought two sodas and I told him we only asked for one. With that being said, we ended up being charged for another large soda. Did not even apologized, did not take it back, he basically forced us to purchase the soda that was THEIR FUCKING MISTAKE. Also note, their #11 combo comes with either 3 or 5 piece chicken strips, which are tiny and tasteless, tater tots (probably the best part about everything), texas toast, which was literally regular toasted white bread, and ONE onion ring lmao. ONE. Not two, three, ONE. Why?????? You might as well NOT included it in a meal, smh. It does advertise as ONE onion ring, but this could still be misleading to a lot of people. Tonight was the worst service I ever received T this Sonic Drive-in! I order 2 #2 combos, both with no onions, guess what I got 2 cheeseburgers on the bun and mayo (for both orders!) no lettuce, tomato or pickles included. I also order a plain meat patty for the dog, and got a chicken sandwich. 2 orders of tots and 2 ice teas. When I got the bag I didn't look in and ask if my order was completed? Guy says yes so I drove off, get around the corner and the bag tilts over and there is only one order of tots! I go back and get the 2nd order and didn't think to unwrap the food to make sure I had the correct order. I get home and everything was wrong and the ice tea didn't have any damn ice included in the cup! I spent $19.69 on this order and pretty pissed that I didn't get what I paid for, if I wanted a double cheese burger I could of gone to McDonald and got them for $2.00 each. read more

We were having late nite munchies and decided to give this place a try. Ordered a cheeseburger combo and a 3 piece chicken tender combo. The food is standard fast food. I was not a big fan of it. They have something called Texas Toast and it is literally white bread that has bee toasted. No butter, no oil, nothing. Just bread. Maybe the bread is from Texas? There Frozen Limeade drink was actually pretty good. It wasn't too sweet or sour. For the full Sonic experience we ate inside the car. But the cool part was the server brought our food really quickly. Quickly as in he had roller skates on! Just saw him gliding to my car in the corner of my eye! Ridiculous trip to Sonic. Waited about 10 minutes to order at the drive in stall. After ordering, our food took over 30 minutes to come out. Plus, every single item was incorrect. We ordered 4 combos. Every single burger was wrong and one of the sides was incorrect. We didn't receive the sauces for two of our items and the kids didn't get their drinks. To top it off, we ordered shakes on the app while we were waiting for our food. While dealing with the incorrect food order, we inquired about the shakes to which we were told they didn't have shakes today. Why would you allow me To order them on the app then? I get they are short staffed hence the long wait but some of those issues aren't due to being short staffed. read more

I ordered 2 oreo shakes. It just tasted like vanilla with an eye drop of Oreo. Worst oreo shake ever. Should of went to Denny's across the street. Not worth the price. Not worth the wait. Sat in our cars forever. No communication about how they are running behind on orders. Maybe other locations might be better. But the people who worked there seemed nice. Even if the line is long save your time and go through the drive-thru. This location has not a single care in the world for the drive-up ordering stalls. So many people, including us, first sat at a drive-up stall for over 25 minutes waiting for our order to be taken. They do not answer when you press the Red button. Although the drive thru line was long we decided to go through that instead and park and eat after. The line was moving at snail speed but at least it was moving. We spent another 15 minutes in line behind 6 cars. As we were in line we could see so many empty&occupied outdoor stalls with flashing red lights. So many people come and then leave empty handed because they were not served. I challenge the general manager of this location to actually work here for a night so he or she can see for themself how bad of a manager they are. Hell, I challenge the CEO to work a night since there seems to be a bad trend for all So-Cal Sonic locations. Such a cool concept, gone to waste. Looking inside through the drive thru window, the staff looked pretty relaxed and not stressed at all and didn't have much urgency despite at least 30 people waiting for help? You can tell they are used to this! But I feel sorry for them, there should be more staff. 0 stars for outdoor service + 1 Star for "decent" cashier service from the guy at the window and for getting our order correct although he never apologized for the long wait + 1 bonus Star for their amazing Shakes/Slushes/Sonic Blasts and for their poor quality food that kinda tastes good. read more

We had pulled into a stall originally- after hitting the button and waiting 5 mins we were told they were only using the drive thru right now. So we got into the line, at that point there were about 5 cars in front of us. We sat in that drive thru line for so long we forgot we were even in line. Started watching a movie on my phone while waiting to get to order and THEN waiting even longer to get to the window after ordering to get the food. We get to the window to pay and use a debit card. The lady swipes it and hands it back saying it's saying our card wasn't authorized. We asked her to slide it once more she said it said the same thing. We gave her a different debit card and she hands it back saying it says the same thing. We have to scrounge for cash and luckily we have enough to cover the total. We ask if it's just our cards and it's only THEN she tells us that no it happens all the time and they have issue getting any cards to read but that people complain if they put up a cash only sign. Handled horribly in my opinion especially because then were here thinking something was wrong with our card! Waited another 7 mins after paying and being at the window to get the food. The order then had one item incorrect that I had to take back up to get changed and also to ask for the cheese sauce that was supposed to come with the soft pretzel (which was actually good and I'm happy they had them I've been wanting a soft pretzel) but only then do they tell me they do not have any of the cheese that is supposed to come with it. Just wish they would have told me at the time of ordering as a full disclosure there. When i went up to tell them I unfortunately saw how dirty and gross it is inside where they make all of the food. The floor was coated with spilled food, ice cream, and empty cups. The counters didn't look like they had had the time to wipe them down in a while either. The lady working and trying to fix everything was super nice and can tell they were dealing with a lot. But then management needs to put better processes in place to expedite food and to get it cleaned up. The cleanliness was the BIGGEST turn off. I should have taken a picture, but I was trying to get to my food! They need to get someone to do something about that, it can't be healthy. (We still ate it tho, I was starving.
