This liquor store wasn't your average liquor store. They had a huge selection of liquor and beer. We stopped by after golf to pick up a couple of beers, and honestly, we were a little overwhelmed by all the choices. Thankfully, Hamu helped us out. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and patient. He seemed like the owner because he was so knowledgeable and welcoming. He made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I wish I could say I'd be back, but I don't live in the area. I just hope this review helps bring him more customers because he truly deserves it. Great customer service goes a long way, and Hamu definitely provided that. read more

I stop in here every time I eat at Fratellinos. My grandpa likes to get his lotto scratchers here. The service is always great. I sometimes bring home some wine or liquor as well. There is a good selection. There is also plenty of parking as this in a large shopping center. read more

Hacienda Beverage - Outside. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Brea, California

Family-owned liquor store. They have a ton of selection and hard to find whiskey for NOT secondary prices!!!

Unexpectedly, impressive beer selection. Most corner liquor stores I've been to are predominately stocked with your typical bottled-piss labeled as Bud/Coors/Corona. They might have a few cases of Michelob's poor answer to the craft beer movement: Shock Top. So I wasn't expecting much when I went to Hacienda Beverage... I was surprised to see a good representation from the stalwart craft breweries: Stone, Rogue, Bruery, Port, and Avery. Even more surprised to see Goose Island BCS on the shelves with a reasonable price tag. The owners were surely in a position to price gouge me for this rare brew, but they didn't. Classy. read more

Good selection, BUT they never answer the phone to see if you want to check to see if something is in stock

By far the best liquor store in the area! Family run shop that has a great selection of alcohol, beer, and wine, all at very fair prices. They get some hard to find stuff in as well. Highly recommend! read more

It's no secret that getting to and out of Brea is probably a test of your ability to go through the mouth of madness. It's a billion miles away from the freeways and everyone there - well, let's just say that they're folks of a certain attitude. In any case, there's this gem in the middle of a pile of scary. This gem is Hacienda Beverages. I don't know how they do it or where the trucks to deliver the goods comes from, but this bottle shop has it going on. If you're into craft beer, this bottle shop goes above and beyond in having everything you need. This includes all those rare and harder to find beers that get released, Chances are that this place has it. The service is as helpful and pleasant as the well the shop is laid out. It's pretty easy to find what you're looking for, but chances are they'll try to help you out far more than what you'd expect them to when coming in here. Again, the service is amazing. Almost as amazing as the beer selection. Which again, I'll have to say that this shop has everything you could be possibly looking for when it comes to those delicious craft beer needs. A ton of bottles from the breweries that are all within 100 miles or so of this place, which is a really nice thing. read more

This is why Hacienda gets a 1-up on other places. http://www.facebook.com/#!/hacienda.beverage Gotta give the place props for holding onto some older Stone VE's. Cheers! read more

"Honey, I'll be home shortly," I say hanging up the cell phone. And then I walked in here and shortly went right out the window. A full selection of craft beer to please those that know the difference from craft to microbrew to macrobrew. Yes, they have the standards of beer, and then, oh man, do they have a nice Craft Brew selection! They have a great selection of wine as well so if you are on a wine find, plan to spend some time here looking over the vast selection. The owner and his son (the son knows beer) were there and we briefly chatted about how quality matters to most purchasing beer. I am not ashamed to admit that the last time I was here was probably 8+ years ago and Coors Light was probably what I bought. This time, however, offerings from Drakes and Speak Easy were what my purchased consisted of. Thanks Yelpers for pointing out how this place has brought great choice of diverse product to a local liquor store! read more

I did a search to find other bottle shops in North County and Hacienda Beverage came up. Since I don't live too far I decided to hop in the car on a beautiful but hot Saturday evening and hop on the 57 to check things out. When I walked in I thought, "Oh if I drove all the way here for a Stone IPA or a bunch of Bootlegger's I'm gonna be pissed." I kept walking and I hit 2 aisles of craft beer from all over. As I walked through the aisles I started to wonder how often he turns beer. I wondered that for reasons: 1) the bottles were pretty dusty and 2) there were winter warmers and it was August. I grabbed a Hitachino Red Rice Ale and a saison from Lost Abbey and headed out. I don't know if I was that impressed to go here again from Anaheim, but if you live in the area and love craft beer this should be your regular spot. read more

I have been a pretty good customer over the past year, buying a large quantity of mid to higher level Scotch, Bourbon and Whisk(e)y until today. Today I visited Hacienda and saw they had a Weller 12yr old Bourbon behind the counter. I inquired how much and was told it was over $60, with a retail price of $26-28 this is price gouging, and I am not sure the distributor would be too fond of them doing this. Of course as a retailer they have every right to sell a product for what ever price they want. It is just sad however that this is only one example of price gouging. A number of other Bourbons, Scotch and Beers I observed today were anywhere from 1.5x to 2x the retail price. Could be why there is a lot of bottles with dust on them.. As another Yelper put it, there is quite a lot of dust on the bottles, so the turnover may not be as great on some items, so look at the dates. read more

Overall, they had a very good selection of craft beer in the cold case and outside the case. Came up on Stone Enjoy By 12.13.13, Racer X IPA, and 2013 Stone Double Bastard. Prices were decent as well. If you're into this stuff like myself, I highly suggest checking this place out. read more

Finally checked this place out after several years finding them on Facebook. Their selection is good but the place is super tiny. Limited beers that are chilled so that's my only gripe. I did try the Brekenridge Brewery Double IPA which was super crisp and smooth. I was there to get the Tripel IPA from Green Flash but it wasn't in stock. Owner was super friendly and gave me stickers and a bottle opener just in case I forgot mine. How thoughtful! Would possibly come back but more fridges would be nice or get rid of one of the aisles which just has random stuff. They did have a cool bourbon, scotch, whiskey, vodka, selection. read more

I was referred to Hacienda Beverage by a friend. I told him I needed to stock up my beer fridge (it ran pretty low recently unexpectedly), but I wanted to try a different place. I pulled up to the liquor store and parked right in front, empty parking lot at night. There are some bottle displayed in a window, unfortunately they had all fallen because of the recent earthquakes. I walked in said hello, and proceeded to the craft beer section (a good portion of the store). They have all types of beer from many different breweries. I like selecting beers I haven't had before, so this place was perfect for me, there were many beers available that I had never tried. I probably spent 40 minutes just looking through all the different beers. I noticed that if you buy 12 beers, you get 10% off. That's 1.2 beers for free (and by free I mean you spend so much on 12 beers that they kind feel bad for you and give you a portion of your money back), so I went for it. Most of the beers range from $3-$15 each for single beers, and about $6-$25 for 750 ml. I ended up getting 12 beers (mixture of 12 ounce beers and 750ml beers) for about $70, then got my 10% off. I felt the price was reasonable for all the different beers I bought. These additional beverages in my beer fridge should last at least another week for me, so that makes me happy too. I expect I will return here again, and will recommend it too those who enjoy craft beers in the area. read more

Pros: One of my favorite go-to spots for craft brewed beers. The owner here is very friendly, selection is great, and the prices are fair. Cons: None. Overall: Whether you are a seasoned beer connoisseur or just starting out in the craft brewed beer world, Hacienda Beverage is a great place to start exploring for brews. read more

Pretty much everything on the shelves are expired!!! So dusty and the owner is just very cheap!

The largest and the latest selections of craft beer in Brea! Hidden gem for sure. Hacienda Beverage carries everything from Coors Light to Knuckle Sandwich! This place has it all. I've been coming here for years. Frank knows his brewskiiii! read more

When's the last time you walked into an average liquor store and they had a full stock of local craft brews and seasonal wines? I'll answer it for you. Never. That is unless you've been to Hacienda Beverage. You'll be surprised with the beer selection that they have here. Sure you can get your Bud Light and Dos Equis, but you can also sample some of the eclectic beers from all over the world that you could only find at the actual breweries themselves or at an over-priced BevMo. The guy that works here can also recommend stuff for you if you're unsure of what to get. You have nothing to lose but your sobriety here. read more

This is my go to craft beer store. I spend at least half an hour everytime I go looking at the enormous selection Frank has in stock. Like the facebook page or their instagram to keep up to date on their latest stock. Frank will often put little gems out for people to find (east coast beers, barrel aged, vintage, limited releases, etc.). If you're a craft beer lover, go check this place out. They have discounts when you buy 6 or more bottles! redonks! read more

Awesome selection of craft beers. I had heard of this place, and driven by on many occasions, but wrote it off as just another liquor store. But after my friends insisted there was a decent selection there, I checked it out. Needless to say, I'm glad I did. I'm a big beer guy, and I have to say their beer selection is great. Sure they have your regular stuff (read: crap) like Bud, Coors, and Miller, but that's not for me. I've gotten really interested in craft beers, and Hacienda has no shortage of them. I recently picked up some Speedway Stout, and 4 Calling Birds (Bruery). Their prices are even cheaper than going to Bruery Provisions. The proprietors are very courteous and kind enough to share suggestions and recommendations. If you're on Facebook, I suggest 'liking' their page; they ofen have updates of new products that come in. read more

Love this place! The owners here are total sweethearts as are all of the employees. Great selection of hard to find craft brews. The guys that work there are super knowledgeable and always willing to help find your new favorite beer. They also carry a decent variety of craft beer mugs and shirts. They'll also take any booze requests and stock it up for you. read more

It's really nice that this place is family owned and run because it shows in the customer service that's provided. The selection here is up there with the best of them in Orange County and they get some of the more limited releases that can be difficult to get your hand on. When high demand, limited releases come around, they tend to make it up to loyal customers by bringing things out of the cellar/storage. Great place to put on your rounds if you're a craft beer fan. read more

Simply the best place to get craft beer in Brea! There might be two bigger places in Brea, but the newest and Dank selection of craft beers here, beats them out! + Frank is very knowledgeable of all different types of beers! He knows what to order. Only gem in brea that supports the local craft beer community. Legit beer selections.

Great Selection - Great place to go on the way back from the Guitar Center. I always buy my sunglasses here.

I love this place. They have a Facebook account and Frank updates all the new beer that comes in. I get fresh beer and I never feel like I miss out on something awesome. I often find myself here 3-5 times a week. Their beer selection is incredible. If you like wine, it appears they have a great selection. Don't miss out on one of the greatest craft beer shops in North Orange County. I can't say enough good things. read more

Frank definitely knows his beers! I almost only exclusively shop at Hacienda because they have one of the best craft beer selections around. Frank always gets the limited releases and hard to find beers. His prices are really good and I love how he always posts his new arrivals on Facebook and Instagram so his customers know what's in and what's new. read more

What a gem in Brea, and also in the local neighboring cities. A real good spot for people who are into Craft Beer. Also they have a pretty nice looking wine selection too. Definitely the spot to go to if you don't wanna go to BevMo or Total Wines to see the same stuff on the shelf day in day out. This place is always getting in new beers, but you gotta make it a point to come in semi frequently because supplies are limited due to the rarity/popularity of the beers coming in. Do yourself a favor, stop by if you haven't yet. read more

Ive been going here for a couple years now and Ill admit..its a very good bottle shop for the area I live in. They have a great selection of craft beers (rares too depending on what youre looking for) As a couple did mention, and it is true, Frank does have some shelf turds that I noticed and the place must collect dust easily because lots of the bottles get covered in it. If youre a beer fanatic, this is one thing you start to notice on beers is that you look at what should be aged or what should be removed. At least discount or remove them rather than leave them full price and think the consumer should pay for it because they cant get it anywhere else. I do check out his postings on FB, which he keeps up regularly but since so many shops are open now, its like a feeding frenzy on which places gets the newest shipment of beers. read more

A quality and diverse selection of 650ml & 750ml beers. Another plus is their instagram account. They post recent beers that have been delivered. Only downside is the 4 & 6 pack section is a little small. Prices are a little steep, but chances are they'll have something you're looking for or a brew you never realized you wanted. read more

Great selection. Knowledgeable people when it comes to craft beers. Great prices. Not overpriced like many others.

Great selection of craft beer from breweries such as Stone, Mikkeller, Great Divide, Rogue, and about 20 others! Really friendly service, and the prices are usually slightly lower than Total Wine or Bevmo. This is my favorite place to get craft beer, and I usually go by about once a week. They also have beers in stock that other places don't have. read more

This a family owned business that is a diamond in the rough. I pop in almost every day just to see if they have received any new beers in. Frank is always ordering new and exciting beers that are hard to find at any other bottle shops and his prices are always fair. Their Facebook page is always updated with the new arrivals and they often run contests and do other fun things on there. Frank is passionate about craft beer and it shows! If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and check this place out! read more

Awesome place with good and fresh crafts. The important ones are always locked in and to be found here.

Craft beers galore, and discounts when you buy a certain amount of craft beers?! Count me in.

Very good selection of local and foreign craft beers. However, it looks like around 25-35% of the product has not been moved in quite awhile (enough to collect dust on the bottles). I would have rated a 3 because of that but they have such a good selection I had to give a 4. Worth a re-visit read more
