It's so important to support local businesses and this is the place to check out. Grape Press has an amazing selection of craft beers, spirits, wines, Alien beef jerky (our fav). Sam is so personable and welcomes all. His knowledge of products will impress you. Great customer service was provided and our loyalty to this store was greatly rewarded. I moved to Anaheim Hills last July and my roommates showed me Grape Press. It didn't take long for me to realize the type of people that these people were. Sam is probably the most interesting, respectful, helpful and caring person I've ever met in my entire life. I have literally spent hours when it isn't busy just chatting it up with these guys. Their prices are cheap and their selection is huge. Sam will even order your favorite Liquor, wine, spirit or even soda if they do not carry it, just for you. Above all else, they carry unrivaled dedication and respect for their customers and treat us like family. I have become so fond of these guys that I literally will not go anywhere else. And I visit a lot, being a regular drinker. Thank you for all of the memories and respect Sam & Dan. I was so sad that somebody would make up such an outlandish story like Jerry did. Anybody that knows Sam and Dan would laugh at how phony it is. These guys are the best. I live very nearby, too, Jerry. You know what I look like. Maybe when you see me you could strike up a conversation and you and I could go have a drink, buddy! Until then, Grape Press will remain the best liquor store around. Cheers!!

I have been coming here regularly for the past few years and I have nothing but praise for Sam and his store. Selection of craft beer is always top notch and his Whiskey selection is the by far the best in Orange County. He is loyal to his customers to a fault. If you show your support you will be treated like family.

This liquor store is hands down the best I've ever been to!! It's like walking into a boutique that has all sorts of alcohol. Sam is so knowledgeable and is extremely nice. We were looking for a specific whiskey and he had it! I'm definitely coming back to support this local business. Best part! He's in such a great neighborhood and there were no drunks. I felt extremely safe there the entire time. We spent probably an hour there talking about whiskey and bourbon. :-).

Grape press easily is one of my favorite liquor stores hands down. By no means that i live near grape press, i make a good healthy drive to this store but worth every damn time Sam, one of the store owners, will make you feel welcomed and befriend you. He is very educated on his liquors/beer and always have a great conversation with him and learn new things. You can come in blinded and not know which to buy but he'll take care of you. You can tell hes well liked by the customers that go in and out and even know them by their names. The content of this store is amazing. I get my bourbons here the ones i cant get from total wine/bevmo or other known stores. Grape press easily is my go-to liquor store. Shout out to Dan as well. Great guy and will take good care of you also :)

Great store. I'm an IPA guy. Beer cave has Toppling Goliath and Pure Project, honestly some of the best Hazy/Murky you can drink, period. Sam makes it happen, he's a good guy and is dedicated to the craft. Stop in, have a conversation, get some amazing beer(and anything else you need) and enjoy. I love stopping in to see what limited quantity IPA he'll have next! read more

The Asian guy who said Sam was a racist is not true ! I think he just insulted all the Asians in Anaheim Hills. Why talk about things that are not true. Sam is the nicest and works so hard to make his liquor store profitable because the last owner was such a jerk. But saying he says " do you speak English ? " is untrue. You Asian bad reviewer should be ashame of yourself. Please do not come to Sam's store anymore ! I discovered this place through a local recommendation for some bourbon I was seeking. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I could immediately tell this was a great family-owned shop simply by every customer greeting the cashier and knowing each other by name (great sign of good relationships with regulars). They have a great selection of craft beers and various spirits. The store is very clean and nicely organized. My first impression of this place was very high, which seems to be tucked away in the Anaheim Hills. Overall I would definitely recommend! Seems like a great hidden gem that is worthy of much credit. I left a review a year ago, this is an updated review after getting to know Sam and the crew over at GP. He's one of the most genuine guy in the industry, a rare trait in the industry. The negative people, are the people that cherry pick from stores and Sam doesn't put up with that. He's a drinker like the rest of us. Show loyalty and be a decent person. Sam and his crew are ace in my book. With the thousands of liquor stores, this is much more than just a store, it's a friendship that he has built with people. Keep up the great work man and good luck with Mission Viejo opening. read more

Fantastic shop in Anaheim Hills & glad a patient of mine recommended it. Sam has a great place, friendly customer service, & likes to talk shop about good beer & whiskey. Reading other reviews & I could not agree more about the excellent hospitality. Also, someone posted a review about not answering the phones. Unfortunately word got out that morning that the shop got a rare/hard to find bourbon. Lots of people showed up & the phone would not stop ringing off the hook even though the allocation was already spoken for. Was hard for the employees to cater to the crowd in the store along with the non-stop phone calls. Not a good reason to give someone a 1 star rating. read more

"Do you speak English?" Beautiful words to hear when shopping from Grape Press! Now, Sam! I'd like to be your friend. I've heard great things about your place. You have great taste, great selection. I sense a person who cares about their business, and I respect that. Now I've lived in Anaheim Hills my whole life too. Me? I'm Asian. 5th generation. My family has even fought for the U.S. in WW2 - it's true, and people actually love that fact because, by all means, they can finally understand my blood is pretty American. We've been here a lot longer than a lot of you trying to up on us with insults. My girlfriend with me whom you directed that question at? She knows English very well too, it's actually her first language. Surprise! Your kind of question offends everyone though, and is what's wrong with shopkeepers such as yourself, and I'm here to address that. Now whether you were, in fact, so intrigued as to ask that question out of your own curiosity, or worse yet, in some sort of condescendence - those words don't fly well with a lot of people. Actually, I'd say they're pretty uncomfortable and kind of racist, and the kind of stuff that makes people not wanna go to your place. The kind of stuff that makes people tell other people not to go to your place. It's an uncomfortable, assumptive thing, and actually a ton of Asian people speak English. Some people in this world actually know... wow! More than two languages? Maybe even three! Is that so surprising? Asian people actually make up the second highest ethnic percentage of people living in Anaheim Hills as well. And yes, you can find this on Wikipedia (wow - we don't only actually speak English, but read it too!). It shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Asians here speak English. Now Sam, I say this for your own benefit too. Watch what you say, whether you mean it the wrong way or the right way. I don't live too far away, Sam. Maybe let's have a drink sometime. I typically go to grocery stores to pick up alcohol but ever since my boyfriend recommended this place to me, this is my go-to spot for picking up my liquor. There are more than just alcohol sold here. In fact, they'll have snacks, hookahs, and even some DVDs sold here if you're looking for things like that. The owner himself is incredibly friendly and that is honestly one of the biggest reasons as to why I'll be coming back. He's always looking for different kinds of alcohol to bring into his shop so definitely do not be afraid to make recommendations! The pricing for the alcohol is so much cheaper than your local grocery store so if the service and amenities aren't good enough, then at least the pricing will! Highly recommend this place. read more

Five stars are not enough for this place! Sam and his staff will treat you right every time you come in. This store is a true gem for selection, fair prices and amazing customer service. Whether you're looking for that hard to find or craft beer, or you need to pick up a special bottle of wine to impress your dinner date, this is the place to come. Truly a convenience store that caters to your needs. They even deliver milk for me from neighboring businesses. And, if your looking for top shelf, hard to find, stuff, they have it in stock most always. Great place to buy gifts for your top clients and it's even children friendly. Stopped by yesterday to pick up some bourbon on my way to a family Christmas party and i can't say much but this place has the best bourbon selection i had ever seen Starting with 1792,Buffalo Trace, High West and ending by BTAC and Pappy Van Winkle.. With the risk of giving away "my spot" I have to say that Grape Press is by far one of the best bottle shops in the N OC area. Especially when it comes to craft beer. They have an amazing selection. The location has really turned around and Sam poured his heart and soul into the shop and it shows. The staff is always great with smiles and positive attitudes. They are customer focused and very approachable. The cold case walk in is huge with all the great offerings that are hard to find. Grape Press usually has what you are looking for including very limited bottles and highly rare allocated items. Grape Press is easily one of the best shops around and if you haven't been by you should. Tell them you saw this Yelp Review and they will give you a smile in return. read more

The new owners are super friendly. Way better deals than before and they have backwoods now. They also stay open later on the weekends now which is super convenient! Overall would totally recommend this liquor store to anyone who hasn't been before and to anyone who previously has gone and wasn't happy, give them another try because ever since its been under new ownership it's been packed all the time with locals. Very rude staff. They were closing twenty minutes earlier than their marked time and didn't appreciate my business at all. I asked them if they had a product and the man behind the counter responded with a dismissive attitude, and when I used my debit card to pay he actually asked for my pin number after I'd already handed him my card. Needless to say I won't be going here ever again on top of the fact that everything is overpriced compared to even the CVS next door. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Edit: Make sure you keep track of your checking account after you buy something here. read more

Probably one of the best liquor stores you will find in SoCal. Sam is very genuine and loves to chat with customers about whiskey and other drinks. He even let me browse their collection standing behind the counter. They are located a little far from me, but I always love driving over to just see what new stuff they have in stock. I've been to many liquor stores and this establishment, by far, is my favorite. I've never felt more welcome and loved by the people working here. Sam is THE best employee here. He knows me by name and remembers what I buy here. And if I ever get something new, he has never hesitated to help me find exactly what I'm looking for. Love this liquor store. Great selection and Sam does not try and drive up the price of his bourbon up because of demand. Don't go in if you have thin skin though. Danny is a hell of a guy and his sense of humor is brash. Which I adore. I love folks who show you who they are and are unapologetic about it! Can't wait to go back and check out his beer! And give him some more of my money. Looking for hard to find bottle of liquor, Grape Press is your spot. Looking for an amazing selection of beers, Grape Press is your spot. They have a great selection of beers, seltzers and hard liquor that rivals a big vendor like BevMo. We usually hit the Viv down the street and we'll be seeing more of Charlie for snacks and treats on our way into the hotel for fun. Thanks Charlie for a great experience, we'll be back for more.

They have various snack foods from all over the world, and I even saw some of the viral novelty ice creams (e.g. the ice creams that look like a chicken drumstick). I just came to accompany a friend, but after going up and down aisle after aisle of unique snack options, I had to load up. They also offer happy hour, aka Flocktail Hour, from 3 pm -5 pm and 9 pm-11 pm Mon-Thurs. The Parkside Market Coffee shop is a great spot to grab fresh breakfast items, lattes, coffees, and teas. It's one of my first stops on my way to the parks. The prices and variety are much better here than inside the park. They also offer seasonal and monthly items to keep you coming back for more. The two restaurants I have yet to try are Seoul Sister, which offers modern Korean cuisine and bowls, and GG Chicken Shop, made famous by award-winning chefs for chicken sandwiches, salads, and more. I've heard some good and bad things about the food here, as well as about the elevated prices, which have been a turnoff for me since they opened. I may try the food one day and share my thoughts. There's ample seating inside on the first and second floors, as well as nearby areas around DTD. The staff has been kind for the most part and has had no issues with the service or orders I've received. Magic Key holder discounts apply here, with the exception of alcoholic beverages. Overall, Parkside is a good food and drink option for locals and visitors alike looking to try something new.

I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is!I love going to the Grape Press for old school sodas candies and snacks. But aside from the great selection of beverages and spirits. I really feel so welcome by Sam and Daniel. These guys are the best they are so polite and respectful always! They remember my name and always greet me with a smile or a big "hello". I read a recent review given by "Jerry Y" and all I can say is this is not the Sam nor the Grape Press I know. Sams true customers who really know him know The truth. That is Sam is not the type person to mock anybody for any reason. I think it's sad when a person has to attack a someone's business and lively hood for no reason with zero proof. I heared about this place from a friend who lives close by and i came today to check it out so let me say this : This liquor store is one of the best, super clean,wide open and stocked very well ... Huge Craft beer selection,they even built a beer cave which is unique.. My wife drinks wine and they got her's Joel Gott and i saw some hard to get wine bottles like Caymus,Silver Oak and Nickel and Nickel.. Very nice knowledgeable staff and don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.. I have lived in Anaheim Hills for over 20 years, and have witnessed how Grape Press has changed since Sam took over. It is always bright and friendly. I feel comfortable bringing in my kids for them to get an occasional treat. Sam has done wonders for this local liquor store, always carrying the latest and greatest in the market.
