It's so important to support local businesses and this is the place to check out. Grape Press has an amazing selection of craft beers, spirits, wines, Alien beef jerky (our fav). Sam is so personable and welcomes all. His knowledge of products will impress you. Great customer service was provided and our loyalty to this store was greatly rewarded. I moved to Anaheim Hills last July and my roommates showed me Grape Press. It didn't take long for me to realize the type of people that these people were. Sam is probably the most interesting, respectful, helpful and caring person I've ever met in my entire life. I have literally spent hours when it isn't busy just chatting it up with these guys. Their prices are cheap and their selection is huge. Sam will even order your favorite Liquor, wine, spirit or even soda if they do not carry it, just for you. Above all else, they carry unrivaled dedication and respect for their customers and treat us like family. I have become so fond of these guys that I literally will not go anywhere else. And I visit a lot, being a regular drinker. Thank you for all of the memories and respect Sam & Dan. I was so sad that somebody would make up such an outlandish story like Jerry did. Anybody that knows Sam and Dan would laugh at how phony it is. These guys are the best. I live very nearby, too, Jerry. You know what I look like. Maybe when you see me you could strike up a conversation and you and I could go have a drink, buddy! Until then, Grape Press will remain the best liquor store around. Cheers!!

I have been coming here regularly for the past few years and I have nothing but praise for Sam and his store. Selection of craft beer is always top notch and his Whiskey selection is the by far the best in Orange County. He is loyal to his customers to a fault. If you show your support you will be treated like family.

This liquor store is hands down the best I've ever been to!! It's like walking into a boutique that has all sorts of alcohol. Sam is so knowledgeable and is extremely nice. We were looking for a specific whiskey and he had it! I'm definitely coming back to support this local business. Best part! He's in such a great neighborhood and there were no drunks. I felt extremely safe there the entire time. We spent probably an hour there talking about whiskey and bourbon. :-).

Grape press easily is one of my favorite liquor stores hands down. By no means that i live near grape press, i make a good healthy drive to this store but worth every damn time Sam, one of the store owners, will make you feel welcomed and befriend you. He is very educated on his liquors/beer and always have a great conversation with him and learn new things. You can come in blinded and not know which to buy but he'll take care of you. You can tell hes well liked by the customers that go in and out and even know them by their names. The content of this store is amazing. I get my bourbons here the ones i cant get from total wine/bevmo or other known stores. Grape press easily is my go-to liquor store. Shout out to Dan as well. Great guy and will take good care of you also :)

When I go to Grape Press I feel like a kid in a candy store! This place carries lots of craft beers and as a whole, have a great selection of everything. Mostly when I go in, I am greeted by Sam. His dad is normally hanging out and I believe his brother works there too, totally family owned. Nice people. (I love supporting my local small businesses!) Sam is like having a bartender at a liquor store, always remembers me and recommends things I might like to try. I recommend this place to everyone! read more

I have been going to this shop and Sam for the better part of 2 years or so, and he is one of the best in terms of knowledge and pricing. I always want to help small businesses over the major ones when I can, and with Sam, I know I will be taken care of. As a groomsman for a wedding, I wanted to buy a special bottle within my budget, and he had something ready to go for me. I'll never forget that, if you're looking for good alcohol and awesome service, this where you gotta go! Whenever I'm in town or need a drink, I know exactly where to start! read more

This store used to have nothing to offer me. I thought of it as the old man's liquor store where he might go get some scotch, but someone like myself would feel lost and wind up just buying beer at the drug store next door. Ownership recently changed though the difference is outstanding. Awesome craft beer selection and knowledgeable (and nice!) owners behind the counter now make me feel welcome and excited to be here. read more

We have been looking for a bottle of Proper 12 everywhere, but it has been sold out for about a month. However, we were able to find it here. This place is awesome!! Under new ownership, and everything is new and improved! My wife asked Sam to stock a special type of wine and the very next week it was there waiting for our purchase! I have lived in Anaheim hills my whole life and I used to refuse to buy anything from the old owner. came here to buy some scratchers and lotto tickets. their selection of scratchers is pretty limited. the staff is a old korean man and his wife. customer service is lacking here... they have a huge selection of alcohol, beer and wine. they have a few assortments of snacks and chips in the front. they also have smokes behind the counter. from what i saw, the alcohol seems over priced and the store looks kinda old. read more

New and improved grape press! I used to dread coming in to my neighborhood liquor store, but since the new owners took over a few weeks ago, it's nice to be appreciated as a customer. I spend good money on various items here; lotto tickets, nice wines, etc. and I like that I'm not looked at as an imposter by the old owner anymore. Stopped in for the first time today and was glad I did. Good whiskey selection better craft beer section. The guy behind the counter was cool. Answered all my questions without being a douche. I honestly can't say enough good things about this store! I grew up down the street from Grape Press and stopped going there because it had gone so downhill. It had been poorly run for so long! But, that is definitely not the case anymore! Under new ownership...they've COMPLETELY changed the entire store...its so clean, organized, great prices, amazing variety of craft beers....they even built a Beer Cave! The best thing though is their customer service. Hands down the most sincere, easy going, honest, happy, hard working people! Sam runs the show there & he's a great guy! I was lucky enough to be one of their first customers when I stopped in before going to a dinner party. I've been a huge fan ever since that day! read more

Working for Budweiser the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to visit over 100 different liquor stores. I place Grape Press at the top of my list. Their store is very clean and organized. Most importantly the owner Sam and his employees are extremely nice. Everyone here is knowledgeable and will help with any questions you may have. If you cannot find something you want, they can get it for you. Grape Press is will connected within the liquor store community. This allows them to offer great pricing. I stopped at grapepress for the first time on Friday. This place is awesome great selection at reasonable prices. I was talking with Sam the owner for a while and he's a great guy. Very helpful and informative. The customer service at this place is top shelf. I was looking for a rare bottle I've been on the hunt for a while. The bottle was Rock hill farms single barrel bourbon. By pure luck I stopped into this place and Sam said he had one left in the case. The price was very reasonable for the rarity of the bottle. Sam was even cool enough to give me a discount on the bottle even though I didn't ask for one. I really appreciated his generosity, this is a prime example of why I would rather support a small business than a big box store. I will definitely return to grape press for any of my liquor purchases and will recommend them to everyone. read more

This liquor store is under new management / brand NEW OWNERS ... completely DIFFERENT Store ... They have lowered prices ... added inventory ... and cleaned the place out !!!! Welcome to the neighborhood! UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. That means the grumpy old man who seemed to be annoyed when you had the audacity to purchase things from his store is GONE. He would watch you like you were stealing even though you have seen him a thousand times. The rudeness and contempt was offensive... enough about that...moving on. The new people running this place are personable and they are very friendly. They actually put different beer in the fridge that they don't sell at CVS, which is next door. I thought this was a no-brainier for years, however, apparently this works. I bought a beer the other day, apparently I was charged a dollar extra on accident, they realized this and actually paid me the dollar back the next day! um, thanks and WOW. I know plenty of people who have sworn this place off years ago. But would suggest you return. you will like it! read more

Sam and the staff at Grape Press are the friendliest small business around. They will all go out of their way to find something you want even if they have never had it before. It's a traditional down home store and you feel at home with the hospitality they present. I shop here at least once a week for anything from tobacco to wine beer candy you name it they have it and will have great prices on everything in stock! If you're in the hills and you need to stop and get some boozie beverages, do it here!! Sam has all my boozie sales, I won't give them to anyone else. Prices are good, service is awesome, selection is fantastic. Don't shop at a grocery store when you could support small business. read more

Since Sam has taken over, this store has done a complete 180. Its always bright, clean, and very friendly. Sam is very helpful expediting any hard to find requests through his suppliers. He seems to be the only one around bringing in the seasons latest and greatest, and the frequent tastings are hard to beat !!!! read more

The Grape Press has changed ownership since my last visit. The new owner Sam is one hell of a nice guy and you can really tell he put a lot of time, money, and thought into his vision of a locals liquor store. The shop is now very bright and clutter free. A large walkway takes you past an open counter and register area, and towards the back you come to there selection of wine & cold beers. Sam has definitely updated his store with the addition of his new walk in cooler towards the front that houses a large assortment of craft beers. Sam has also upped the stores whiskey game as well, boasting a great selection of artisan bourbons and single malt scotch. I really appreciate all the renovations he has made and whenever I'm in the area I'll be making a stop. read more

Grape press is on the smaller size side of a liquor store, but there is a great selection of beer, wine, spirits, and mixers. So no matter what I have looked for I have always found something for the night. In one instance I purchased supplies when I was playing bartender for poker a night and purchased mixers, cherries, gin, vermouth, and whiskey. A different time Sam, the owner, gave me two rocks glasses just because he saw me going in so often. In another instance I was chatting with Sam when a woman and a little girl entered Grape Press and Sam was happy so happy to see them that he told the little girl to pick any candy she wanted in the store. After the woman was done shopping Sam did not charge her for the candy he let the little girl pick. Sam treats people well and I like to support local businesses when I can. I know I am paying a bit more than at a big retailer like Costco, Total wine, or BevMo but I enjoy the experience Sam provides and the selection he has to offer. Sam tries to make sure his customers are happy and adds a personal touch to your experience when he can. You don't get this from stores big liquor stores, it's typically an experience you get from a smaller place like this that you've gone to for a while and have taken the time to get to know the employees and store owner. read more

The best liquor store ever. They truly take pride in everything they do. If you need anything they will get it. Also they take pride in the neighborhood. They made the best effort to re do the damage the past owners did with the store and they made it worthy of the best store i will ever go to. They personalize every experience to each person. We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is!I love going to the Grape Press for old school sodas candies and snacks. But aside from the great selection of beverages and spirits. I really feel so welcome by Sam and Daniel. These guys are the best they are so polite and respectful always! They remember my name and always greet me with a smile or a big "hello". I read a recent review given by "Jerry Y" and all I can say is this is not the Sam nor the Grape Press I know. Sams true customers who really know him know The truth. That is Sam is not the type person to mock anybody for any reason. I think it's sad when a person has to attack a someone's business and lively hood for no reason with zero proof. I heared about this place from a friend who lives close by and i came today to check it out so let me say this : This liquor store is one of the best, super clean,wide open and stocked very well ... Huge Craft beer selection,they even built a beer cave which is unique.. My wife drinks wine and they got her's Joel Gott and i saw some hard to get wine bottles like Caymus,Silver Oak and Nickel and Nickel.. I have lived in Anaheim Hills for over 20 years, and have witnessed how Grape Press has changed since Sam took over. It is always bright and friendly. I feel comfortable bringing in my kids for them to get an occasional treat. Sam has done wonders for this local liquor store, always carrying the latest and greatest in the market. Best liquor store in town.. I love bourbon and truly they have the best bourbon selection in OC.. Couldn't believe that bottles like Weller 12,Elmer T Lee, Pappy Van Winkle, Buffalo Trace Antique and others like Hibiki 17 are handy just right there..
