I'm typing this review with shaking fingers: when I pulled up into the drive-through lane, I caught a glimpse of a worker walking to someone's car to serve them their meal -- that's right, WALKING. I thought Sonic's whole thing was, "Guys, look at the employees rollerblading around the parking lot with your food." I'm just so sick and tired of constantly being lied to. It is with a heavy heart I must deduct a star from my review for this very reason. The food was actually pretty good (by fast food standards, of course) and managed to overshadow the bitter flavor of being deceived by someone I thought I could trust. I'm a fan of the dawg (that's what us hot dog fanatics call hot dogs, by the way) and I was pleasantly surprised by Sonic's. Stopped here for dinner the other night. Thought the food would be brought out on a tray like Stewart's does but either I was mistaken or because of Covid they don't do this. Ok not a big deal. This review is predominantly about Gerardo. this evening we picked up our order and when we got home we were missing two items. Annoyed, we got back in the car and drove the 15 minutes back. We noticed as we were waiting there were only 2 cooks and 2 food runners, which considering the drive in and drive thru were bumping, was of course not enough staff. We pulled into a drive in spot and notified over the radio that we were missing two items, we had our receipt and the bag to show it. Gerardo said he would be right out with our missing items. After checking the receipt, he handed us our missing items with a smile and told us to have a lovely evening. Even in the face of other waiting customers, he took our complaint with grace and immediately rectified the problem. We are customers for life! read more

The food is good for a snack but not all of it is good. As you see in the photo, the tater tots were not made nice and tasted pretty bad. Also, most of the time the service is fairly good but sometimes it isn't. I completely understand that people have good and bad days and having to deal with some annoying customers can put anyone in a mood, but don't take it out on other people who just want their food. Moving on, the ambiance is alright but most of the drive in spots are broken and the drive through machine isn't good at all. There has to be some money in the budget to get a better one so the person can hear what the customer is ordering without having to yell. Also, there are plenty of Deaf/Hard of hearing people in the area so it would be helpful to make it easier for everyone if they got a box that worked properly. I brought my kids there to get a quick dinner tonight around 5:30. There were 3 employees inside they were working or should I say hanging out. One was Vaping as I was waiting for my food. I could see them through the drive thru window. When I got my food, my tots were half full with some fries in it as well. Not a fan of sonic's food, but great drinks and corn dogs. This location has the slowest drive thru known to man though. I've waited up to 15 minutes for a soda. I've seen people pull out of line after ordering on numerous occasions due to the wait. Their pricing is questionable. Always check your receipt. Waiting in a line for 15 minutes only for them to get something wrong. I've has more incorrect orders than i have even close to correct ones. One of the worst Sonic's I've ever been to. The kitchen staff doesn't know how to use a microwave much less actually cook food. Meanwhile the order staff don't give a damn about the customer. Bluntly, the franchisee for this one needs to be removed and the entire staff canned. The only "interest" they show is in one another and how to filch the till every way they can. I used to LOVE sonic..i felt like it was a notch above other fast food joints. So on my ride home from north jersey i was excited to stop here (not many south jersey locations near me). Soggy bread, which is a joke given it's called a "toaster". That bread wasn't in the same building as anything a human being would describe as toast...think more of a bread paste. Stuffed between the slabs of bread paste was a dry, flavorless meat circle. Awful burger. The wet, old shredded iceberg lettuce on the meat disc didn't help..at all. There was an onion ring and bacon somewhere is this sadness of a sandwich...i tasted neither of the two. The tator tots were more edible, but screwing up a tator tot is like screwing up cereal. This review could have been 2 words long but that would have been "easy." Those 2 words are "Never again." I am giving this Sonic only one star, because I only like their tater tots. Other than that, I don't like anything about Sonic and especially the management at this location. I went there at 6pm on a Sunday and saw an advertisement right in my face that said "footlong + tots for $3.99" As a consumer, if that is the information that I am given I WILL order it. So I did and they said I couldn't get it because the deal doesn't start until the next day. I looked at the fine prints on the advertisement and there was no mentioning about when the deal starts. The receiver just simply told me I cannot get it. I was super annoyed. I wanted the hot dog and I wanted tots and it would've satisfied my craving completely. Inside my car, I saw a Sonic employee switching all the signs at every spot to the advertisement that I attempted to order. Clearly, the upper management is whack to think to order someone to do this at 6pm and then not let people order it! If I went at 11pm, Okay, I can understand. I really despite eating in my car, so everything about this joint bothers me. If I really want tots next time, I will go to the grocery store and purhcase a frozen bag of tots and heat it up at home. Me and my boyfriend ordered off of Uber eats and it won't let you customize your burger. So being a former manager at a fast food restaurant for 3 years i thought, okay I'll give them a call when i see my order is accepted. First call no answer. Okay no problem it's lunch time. I also appreciate that the offer their ice cream drinks in the "mini" size, an appropriate serving. That said, service at this particular Sonic can be lacking at times. This experience was only so-so due to the not so friendly service, inaccurate order received, where I requested a burger minus the mustard and onions twice to make sure it was correct but received mustard nonetheless. The hot, fresh and very appetizing onion rings saved the day and were good and scrumptious. The vanilla shake was a bit too thick, so much so that I had to wrestle with the straw with each tasty sip. Overall, the service was not particularly special and the entree didn't satisfy even with the unwanted mustard added in. I would probably give it another try just to see if maybe the down pouring rain somehow affected my visit and possibly things will improve with communication and at the shake blender next time. read more

Four people came out to look at the line, then 2 moved cones around, instead of being inside making food. The woman 2 cars ahead of us said she was in the line 20 minutes.
