2 stars for their consistent habit for messing up orders/customer service. 5 stars for the interior layout. Every time I order from the app, to get food to my table, theres an issue 9/10 times. Yesterday in particular, I placed an order and waited maybe 30 mins til I went up to the counter to ask for an update- only ordered a sandwich and salad. Asked 2 high school aged employees, they called the manager, they didn't see it in the system blah blah blah I got my food 15 mins later. No apology, no free cookie, no $10 credit, nothing. I eat my salad, which had things missing from it, only to see a nice large chunk of the lettuce core in it (see photo). Yes, I removed it from my salad but still... lol. I hear them have their staff/team meetings once in a while and they "think" they're doing a great job from rankings/numbers but I'm constantly disappointed. I've overheard a manager say how they're more than happy to let people go because someone is always looking for a job (which is true) but train people better and improve customer service please! On the bright side, this is the only place I come to study and get some work done. It's spacious enough inside for me to find my own little corner and be productive.

Mediocre food. Nothing special about the food. Went here on a Monday night (~6pm). I only go here because it's a nice place to hangout with friends and catch up while not getting distracted by super delicious food (joke: there is no delicious food here) I got a baked potato soup with a sprouted grain roll as the side. It was ~$7. The portion size was nice for the price. The only thing that threw me off was the sprouted grain roll. I've never seen it flattened like pancake/cookie before lol. Food came out fast, place was decently clean. Food itself was okay. I would recommend this place more for the laid back atmosphere than for the food!

    Grand opening treats!

5 stars for hospitality. This location just opened up yesterday, and I happened to be in dire need of a study spot today. I typically stray away from Panera when it comes to studying, mainly because the aromas of the delicious food make me eat more than study, but today I decided to test my self control. I have to say this is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, Panera Bread's I've been to. Large windows leading way to natural light, outdoor seating, ample parking, convenient location, drive-thru, and of course PB has 100% delicious (and clean!) food. Studiers - this location has ample amounts of outlets (with USB ports!) and fast wifi! Although my anti-social self ordered online from my table, everyone I interacted with was extremely pleasant. I received a free mug and pastry of my choice for stopping in during their opening. Additionally, they were giving out samples of their chocolate chip cookies - always delicious. About 6 different smiling faces checked up on me (I was here for a few hours). It was certainly nice to feel so welcome in a "fast-food" type restaurant. My typical experiences in other Paneras with customer service are hit-or-miss (probably because they're always so busy), but I have to commend the staff here for being attentive and warm. Whoever was in charge of the hiring and training processes did a phenomenal job because the service was outstanding. Will definitely be making more frequent stops here!

2 Stars because: they didn't seem to care about me as a customer. Sad face. They made a mistake and didn't tell me until after I had paid and waited. They weren't apologetic at all so I don't think I'll be returning.

But with that said, my girl wanted some Indo Chinese.... so we made the trip here to see whether it's worth a second visit. Now, to be clear: the Rose is a Pan Asian Cuisine. So it's not necessarily just Indo Chinese, but it also encompasses flavors from all the other countries too. We ended up ordering 3 items in the following order: 1a: Gobi Manchurian 1b: Smoked Vegetable Sizzler 2: Mushroom Sautéed in Ginger Garlic We ordered the first two together and those arrived relatively quickly. The Gobi Manchurian was the better of the two, but I wonder if it was a bit too overpowered with spice and less of the sweet and sour taste (or even the soy sauce). The spice was a bit too overbearing. The sizzler was fine, but it was mostly onions and peppers. The tofu - while cooked fine - surprised me because it was like the silky ma po tofu (which coincidentally is what they serve here). In other words, the same tofu is repeated across multiple meals. I think the tofu needed to be pan fried at least for a sizzler. Because of the above, we didn't feel full and thought that the mushroom would provide a different taste pallet. Unfortunately, that was a miss as the mushroom had the same taste as the gobi manchurian, when it should've been infused with the ginger garlic. Additionally, the mushroom was way too overcooked so you couldn't even taste them either. It was like a crunchy mushroom. No good. To make things worse, the waiter, who also manned the front desk, seemed a bit too aloof at times. Often that meant not refilling water unless prompted and not providing the check on time or not even setting up the tables properly with silverware. It was a bit disappointing. This place has the potential, especially with the cute decor. But failed execution with the food and some lackluster service do not make this a place I'd recommend in the future.

We were seated very quickly, thankfully, and the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and elevated. The menu looked fantastic at first glance so we were excited, and our expectations were exceeded. We shared the Veg Bao, Chili Paneer, Hakka Noodles, and Veg Manchurian with gravy (served with rice). All dishes were sooo so delicious - perfect level of spice, lots of garlic and onion flavor, huge portions. The parents were trying to figure out what to order, and asked our server for recommendations - he suggested something called the "Triple Schezuan" which was a combination of rice, noodles, spicy sauce, manchurian pieces, and more. They RAVED about this dish - the portion was also massive! Service was wonderfully attentive and best of all they don't use any cilantro in their food! Hallelujah! Highly recommend this underrated spot.

The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. When it comes to food, I never judge a burger by its bun, so thanks to Yelp for helping me find it. The sign in the window says "Asian fusion" which usually sends me running as it's often a cop-out label for bad mixed-up Asian cooking, but this is authentic y'all, meaning true-to-tradition dishes with a sometimes more contemporary application of ingredients or flavors. The "fusion" part must come from the fact that they have a small Taiwanese section as well as the main Szechuan/Sichuan menu, alongside a few familiar Chinese-American favorites like sesame chicken or broccoli x protein, so you can get that here too. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Great flavors, generous portions, cooked with confidence and finesse. Compliments to the kitchen - they really know what they're doing. Not a single dish was lacking. They even put out peanuts at the start and serve fresh orange slices at the end of the meal. Very old school. We loved it all: * Salt & white pepper crispy chicken ("Taiwanese specialty") - well-battered and flavored, and perfectly crispy * Taiwanese minced pork rice * Chicken red curry - fabulous, with fresh vegetables and just the right balance of spice * Golden dish (fish) - very special dish in a salted duck egg yolk batter * Beef chow fun * Marinated crispy duck Wish I lived closer, but will definitely come back when we are in the area. Best of the best - very highly recommended!

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem that proves you should never judge a restaurant by its parking lot. Not long after we were seated, we were greeted by Luca -- a Luca and not the Luca. Still he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his restaurant, taking the time to walk us through the menu and checking in throughout the meal without ever hovering. Luca's has a partial liquor license, offering a modest wine selection but is otherwise being BYOB. As we were told with a smile, they're much more interested in what's ON your plate than what's IN your glass. We started with two excellent appetizers. The arancini, already a family favorite, were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and disappeared from the table faster than anyone was willing to admit. The Polpette, Luca's signature meatballs with pine nuts and raisins, certainly earned the praise they've received from NJ.com as some of the best in the state. Even if raisins in meatballs sound unusual, trust the process. The restaurant proudly calls itself "A Taste of Ischia," the beautiful volcanic island in the Bay of Naples, and the seafood absolutely lives up to that promise. My squid ink pasta with octopus (the Polypus) was outstanding, with perfectly tender octopus and beautifully balanced flavors. The scallops were buttery, sweet, and cooked to perfection, while the Ischia -- loaded with mussels, clams, and calamari -- was every seafood lover's dream. The rest of the menu proved just as impressive. The Pappardelle, featuring burrata and a rich Bolognese sauce, was a huge hit, while the Romolo, a comforting combination of chicken, pasta, bacon, and sauce, was another winner that had no leftovers to speak of. If you somehow still have room after dinner, Luca's offers a nice assortment of gelato. But do yourself one favor: don't leave without ordering a cappuccino. Rich, foamy, and expertly made, it's the perfect finale to a memorable meal. If you find yourself in Somerset, just a few turns off Routes 287 or 1, make the stop. You'll be greeted by a wonderful staff, treated to outstanding food, and very likely leave wondering how a restaurant this good has been hiding in a strip mall all along.
