I've been working from Panera frequently for the last few weeks while my home is under construction. It's much more spacious and comfy than Starbucks and it's nice to be able to get breakfast and lunch in the same place. The WiFi is great here. No issues there. Ample parking minus the construction nearby. They closed the drive thru here which is annoying. The food is, well, it's Panera. It's basically the same everywhere. It's very expensive for what it is and the menu is frequently changing. The coffees are very expensive at $3 for a regular coffee. I dislike their coffee compared to Starbucks for regular coffees but the light roast is tolerable. They keep pushing their unlimited drinks program on you (which is an okay deal if you frequently come here and like their drinks but there's lots of restrictions). The staff is nice if you're polite back to them. They're very rowdy though. This morning I got serenaded by their weird playlist and an employee in the back singing Christmas songs at the top of her lungs. Other times I've heard them yelling at each other. However, it's not the best for a working environment. The music choices really range from indie to coffee shop to downright wrong for a coffee shop (it might sound silly to criticize music choices but it affects your environment). Something to note (not factored into the review since it's not their fault) is that there's a lot of construction going on in the lots next door so there's vehicles, work, cones and roads sometimes blocked. read more

Was craving for morning coffee and breakfast and bumped into this panera . As always the interiors of this place is awesome. So may seats to sit and eat . Nice and quick service : they also have kiosks to order food . Coffee was awesome as always . Love the consistency of the blend and freshness in the coffee . They didn't have much choices for veggie morning breakfast sandwiches .. I had to order an egg sandwich and remove the egg from that. Sandwich was average . Whenever I want a healthier "fast food" option, I head to Panera (because unfortunately, there's not many other places that are similar). I've been a loyal customer for nearly 10 years and I'm a huge fan of their "You Pick 2" option-- it's perfect if you're indecisive like me and want to try more than one menu item! I always get the Half Frontega Chicken Sandwich and a soup or salad. This location is one of the nicer ones I've seen, but like most fast food restaurants, the quality of the food, customer service, and service time really depend on the day. Overall, this location is not bad but I have had unsatisfactory experiences here, depending on how busy they are or the staff that day. Today, I decided to try their Broccoli and Cheddar Mac & Cheese bowl! It was pretty average, maybe even a little disappointing. It was clearly very salty and too cheesy for me. In my opinion, most of their menu items (including the Mac & Cheese) are not worth the price they charge. However, the Frontega Chicken Sandwich keeps me coming back! read more

2 stars for their consistent habit for messing up orders/customer service. 5 stars for the interior layout. Every time I order from the app, to get food to my table, theres an issue 9/10 times. Yesterday in particular, I placed an order and waited maybe 30 mins til I went up to the counter to ask for an update- only ordered a sandwich and salad. Asked 2 high school aged employees, they called the manager, they didn't see it in the system blah blah blah I got my food 15 mins later. No apology, no free cookie, no $10 credit, nothing. I eat my salad, which had things missing from it, only to see a nice large chunk of the lettuce core in it (see photo). Yes, I removed it from my salad but still... lol. I hear them have their staff/team meetings once in a while and they "think" they're doing a great job from rankings/numbers but I'm constantly disappointed. I've overheard a manager say how they're more than happy to let people go because someone is always looking for a job (which is true) but train people better and improve customer service please! On the bright side, this is the only place I come to study and get some work done. It's spacious enough inside for me to find my own little corner and be productive. read more

Mediocre food. Nothing special about the food. Went here on a Monday night (~6pm). I only go here because it's a nice place to hangout with friends and catch up while not getting distracted by super delicious food (joke: there is no delicious food here) I got a baked potato soup with a sprouted grain roll as the side. It was ~$7. The portion size was nice for the price. The only thing that threw me off was the sprouted grain roll. I've never seen it flattened like pancake/cookie before lol. 5 stars for hospitality. This location just opened up yesterday, and I happened to be in dire need of a study spot today. I typically stray away from Panera when it comes to studying, mainly because the aromas of the delicious food make me eat more than study, but today I decided to test my self control. I have to say this is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, Panera Bread's I've been to. Large windows leading way to natural light, outdoor seating, ample parking, convenient location, drive-thru, and of course PB has 100% delicious (and clean!) food. Studiers - this location has ample amounts of outlets (with USB ports!) and fast wifi! Although my anti-social self ordered online from my table, everyone I interacted with was extremely pleasant. I received a free mug and pastry of my choice for stopping in during their opening. Additionally, they were giving out samples of their chocolate chip cookies - always delicious. About 6 different smiling faces checked up on me (I was here for a few hours). It was certainly nice to feel so welcome in a "fast-food" type restaurant. My typical experiences in other Paneras with customer service are hit-or-miss (probably because they're always so busy), but I have to commend the staff here for being attentive and warm. Whoever was in charge of the hiring and training processes did a phenomenal job because the service was outstanding. Will definitely be making more frequent stops here! read more

Slow, wrong orders, bad customer service. This location has been disappointing for the past couple of visits.

Rude staff, long wait. I will no longer be visiting this location and it's just 5 minutes from my house.

One of my few places where i like to come and sit and relax! Sip my iced chai latte and read.

I have always appreciated the food and service at Panera restaurants BUT this particular one is VERY disappointing. I am not one to complain but after three terrible experiences, I cannot go back. And I cannot recommend! On all three occasions, I had a issue either with the food, service or both. Incorrect order, rude manager, missing items. The last straw, we waited in the drive through for 30 minutes, manager came by and rudely told us that they were too busy (after I honked to get their attention). Kind of surprising to see this Panera pop up considering the incredibly busy Panera a mile down route 1. For me, this location is closer to home and much more pleasant because it lacks the frenetic energy of the other location. When I had a newborn, this was a great stop because of the drive thru window. Staff is quite friendly and the meal is always right. I like their soups, frontega chicken panini, and bagels. read more

This Panera has a larger space and more outlets than it's neighboring Panera on RT south. There's also a ton of outdoor seating for when the weather gets better. The staff is very friendly but if you don't want to order from a person they have electronic kiosks you can take your order on. Another plus is all the parking they have available. I'm assuming they plan to build more on this main Street area. The downside is trying to get it. It's not difficult. It's just a little inconvenient especially if you're coming from RT 1 south. read more

Before I start, I never complain about anything...but this is the last time I go to THIS Panera. First time I get all the way home to find I got no bread with my pick 2, soup/salad. The thing I was excited for the most with the soup. Second today. I really just came for a smoothie. DYING for one. I order soup and a salad. At window they say " no yogurt so we can't make smoothies". Christ it's Saturday not even dinner time. Epic management ordering fail. Ok fine " hibiscus drink". ( charged for smoothie)... so thirsty .. pulling off, I take a HUGE ongoing mouthful of ROTTEN drink. Borderline wine with a dash of rot. I made my neighbor take a sip just to make sure I was right. She spits it 8 feet. Huge disappointment. I get it... we have off days. Service/ retail..etc isn't easy. But the ONE thing y'all should be on top of is quality. My stomach kills and is bubbling needles. Decent headache. ( hadn't eaten anything else all day) Can't even eat my food yet ( already see onions, said no onions) and it's hours later. I was extremely nice too, wasn't a trigonometry order here. " that's ok.. y'all got that hibiscus drink? Ok cool, thanks so much". We went to this location when they had just opened. Didnt even know it was their first day. The staff were so kind and friendly. Even met Mike the District Manager. Went a few weeks later. Then few months. No change at all. The new designs of Panera are very modern and sleek. I like it a lot. Glad to have a panera in the neighborhood now. Keep it up guys! read more

BEWARE Gross. Wow this Panera is gross and hires people who hate their job. I went through the drive-through and person on mic was RUDE. I asked a simple question and the response was rudeness as if she was being bothered. BEWARE of cheese on the breakfast sandwich! Apparently when you order the Avacado, Spinach and egg white breakfast sandwich...it is actually a slab of cheese and spinach on bread sandwich, no avocado! The menu does not say it comes with cheese, so be careful if you have allergies! When I asked if I perhaps got the wrong sandwich, I was then informed that there was no avocado left. Hm, so why was I allowed to order the avocado sandwich and not informed?? Then when I stated nicely that I ordered an avocado sandwich, I was replied to with RUDENESS. I will never eat here again, I don't trust the people who are making the food. I also ordered a smoothie, which I simply asked if it had sugar, and apparently, that was a bother for the staff to answer this question. Anyway it was also disgusting and for some reason after sitting for 10 minutes begins to separate and stuff is floating on top with watery bottom. What is it??!! I was so excited to have this new concept Panera open on Main Street North Brunswick - especially the drive through option. I went on opening days for was one of the first 100 customers so I received a coupon for a Free You Pick Two for a year. The staff is really eager, pleasant and helpful. We love the fireplace and cozy feel when eating in. May 1, 2017 Update While I still love this Panera; the drive-through needs help. Excellent Panera Bread. It's almost futuristic in some ways. The place is very nice and airy in the inside with plenty of seating outside. The ordering kiosks speed things up a ton. I can imagine students studying here too with their free wifi. 5/5 stars for me. read more

This Panera is such a nice restaurant, better than any other ones I have visited. I come here a lot and the workers are always so nice, and the food is always so good, and the coffee delicious. A worker there, named Bethany, is there many times when we visit and she is the nicest person. My husband and I love coming here also since they have a fireplace here. The lady by the counter told me to leave before 10:00 and not even let me sit, by commenting we are closing in 3 mins directed at me. Recently I can see the staff has become totally rude and angry at customers. Staff does not help if a customer is struggling with the kiosk. There are no pagers. The drive in service is horrible. The staff is poorly trained. Very slow and inefficient. Long waiting time. Staff does not know basic things. I have been to this location many times and usually they are terrific. Not today. I waited in the Rapid Take Out parking area for over 20 mins. and finally called to ask about my order. I was told an associate would be bringing my order out right away. I offered to come in and they assured me the order would be right out. More waiting. I can see take out bags lined up on the table thru the window, I'm sure my order is there, so I got out of the car and went in. They were taking care of another customer (food delivery), finally I was able to enter the atrium (one customer at a time) and I was asked to leave because they were still taking care of the other order for food delivery. Asked to go stand out in the rain so that I can continue to look at my food thru the window. Finally I am allowed to retrieve the food I paid for and should have had half an hour ago. This is a hard time, I know they are busy, dealing with the public is hard enough. But stand out in the rain because I'm not done with someone else, who isn't even there at the moment, when my food is 5 feet away? She couldn't just hand that to me? This is in direct response to the Yelper who felt that this Panera didn't care about the customer. I would heartily disagree!! 10 days ago, I lost my poor iPad. On a whim, I decided to call the store to see if there was some strange chance that I had left it there that one fateful Saturday afternoon. What a surprise to learn that management not only kept my device in their office safe and sound, but also, the staff had tried desperately to find its owner. You see, my device had no identifying marks and was locked with no contact information attached. I would assume most readers understand the monetary and life-driving value of an iPad. The honesty and earnestness of the Grand Avenue Panera staff is to be commended. I can not fully express how grateful I am that it was there, that I was so absent-minded. Keith, Jesus, Leslie and all of the rest of you...Bravo! You've got my loyalty always! Oh yes...and my triple espresso with foam (aka double macchiato) was made perfectly. read more

Always have delays at this location. I see other customers have addressed this as well. Pulled into a curbside pickup order spot. Placed my order AFTER parking in the spot. Clicked the "I'm Here" button in the app. Sat outside for 25 minutes longer than the estimated time, not a single employee walked out of the building for mine or any other order at any point. We were parked by both doors to the building. Finally walked inside to see what the delay was about and the employee claimed they tried finding the car "three times." They absolutely did not, and there should be something in place to ensure CURBSIDE customers aren't forgotten, ESPECIALLY if the "I'm Here" button was clicked. I can understand a rapid pickup order, because the customer is choosing to be liable for grabbing the food. But curbside suggests the food is brought to your vehicle. This can cause customer confusion, food waste, employee blame when it might not be their fault. Panera (the COMPANY, not the employees) has this as a pickup option choice, there should be proper protocol in place for this not to happen. (Text/Call customer?) There is no feedback option for the order or the store. This is the only way to provide feedback for an issue unrelated to the app. read more

When the mouth breather in front of me (sorry, there's no polite way to otherwise describe this person) placed a similar order to mine, and goofed up paying with a gift card, there was a significant delay in getting my food. Don't waste your time or your money here. Pure incompetence. Went through the festive through and every thing we ordered was wrong. No grilled chicken on the salad we paid for, a salad instead of a sandwich, and several missing items. We attempted to call back and speak to a manager and were hung up on repeatedly.
