The 2 stars is very generous Plain and simple the food here isnt good at all Everything is overpriced for no reason I tried a few things on the menu and nothing is worth anything over $5 Sorry just being honest THEY NEED TO BRING BLIMPIE BACK !!!!! read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at Mr. Sub. The sandwich had barely any meat on it, and for the price you pay, you should definitely get more. It honestly felt like a poor man's sub -- not worth the cost. I expected a lot better for the money. read more

Mr Subs - Sandwiches Near Me - North Brunswick, New Jersey

I am almost always disappointed with our orders from this location. There is always something wrong with the order sometimes small but it's every time we order. One time I ordered a tuna wrap with a side pickle they put pickles on my wrap. Pickle juice and tuna is not a combo I like. We ordered mild wings which according to their website are fried to a crisp with no mention of sauce and received hot wings in a spicy sauce. I called to request they fix my order and was told to request a refund from doordash when we picked the order up from the store. We ordered mozzarella sticks and there was no marinara or any other sauce. I work for a medical practice and our orders are usally $200+ and we order lucnhes everyday. A little customer service goes a long way read more

Stop going to this sub place, the Mgr is rude and when my order was incorrect and I requested my money back she hung up on me and told she had no plans to give me my money back. I paid $12.00 for a sandwich and the meat was for a kid. This is what I get for being lazy and not going to Tastee Sub Shop. read more

i truly wish I could give zero stars. I have already contacted the corporate office but wanted to leave a review for this location. Never in my life have I been treated with more disrespect then I have today speaking with the "assistant manager". I initially called in to complain about an order we placed on DoorDash. We got two half subs, opened them up and there was one piece of turkey and one piece of roast beef on the entire sandwich. Piled with lettuce, and so much bread. I called the store to let them know of my concern and I was told "it's not my problem" and proceed to then laugh at me with the other male employee. I told him I was recording the conversation and I have a picture of the food to prove what I am saying and he then told me I was lying that they weigh the meat before putting it on the sandwiches. I asked him for his name so I could call back tomorrow when the owner was in and let him know who I spoke with and my issue and he told me "good luck with that I ain't givin you no name". Number one... to speak to someone who was a customer like this is disrespectful but number two, to then give them an attitude about their concern and laugh in the background with the other employee is absolutely horrendous and we will never be returning here. I will also be contacting the town letting them know how disrespectful I was treated today in this store, and from the other reviews it doesn't seem like many people will disagree with what I am saying. read more

Amazing sandwiches. Great people. Clean facilities they took real good care of me. I recommend this to all my family and friends.

Workers are very friendly and professional. The ingredients are fresh and there's hardly ever a wait. I usually only pick up from here but you could dine in if you wanted to! read more

I have always love Mr. Subs sandwich, they're the only shop north of Trenton that comes close to a Philly Cheestreak . On August 1st, I gave them a bad review because I was not happy with my steak sandwich, I did not know that I should have stated what kind of bread I wanted my sandwich on. But because I was disappointed I gave a bad review. Today I give Mr. Subs five stars because the GM took the time to explain that I had a choice of steak rolls and that they had been using seeded rolls for about a year. The GM showed concern about customer satisfaction and obviously takes pride in the food they served. That alone is worth 5 stars. Bea W. read more

I've had great cheesesteaks and subs from here before, but they have always been the smaller 8" version. Call me old fashioned, but the amount of meat should not be the same when the 16" version is ordered! Maybe whoever was working didn't want to slice the right amount because the sub I received had one razor thin piece of cheese and practically no meat to speak of. Next time I go I'll have to stick with the 8" I guess... read more

I got a cheesesteak from here today and it was awful. The meat was somewhat warm, but the cheese was so cold. How do you make a cheesesteak and don't put the cheese on the cooking steak? I used to come here more when I worked in the area, but the cold cheese on a hot sub is the biggest turn off. The onions on the sandwich were raw which is not how they used to make cheesesteaks, but it honestly wasn't worse than cold cheese read more

I 1000% recommend this local business for anyone visiting the area, residing in the area, or who is just simply looking for a good sandwich! I work at nearby school and we use Mr. Subs to order our staff lunch for nearly 50 teachers. They are always prompt, offer the best service, and supply the freshest subs. It is stacked and definitely worth the price. Check them out you will not be disappointed! We have also used them for many events and have nothing but positive positive reviews and compliments from everyone indulging. read more

Been dying for a Hot Pastrami lately and gave this place a try today. Clean shop, friendly staff. Took a little for my 2 sandwiches and fries to be made, but nothing to complain about. Toasted bread, thin sliced pastrami, very good pickles, good spicy mustard. Next time I'll order with an extra slice of Swiss cheese. Fries are just the way I like them cooked. Only complaint, next time I'll remember to order extra pickles! I will be back to try more subs! read more

My wife & I organized a Fundraising Event where all proceeds went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In order to pull this event off we were depending on our local businesses to donate food and beverages. So many businesses turned us away, except for a few. One business that was very excited to work with us and donate a tremendous amount of food for this worthwhile cause was Mr. Subs! Mr. Subs donated for our fundraiser the most beautifully prepared sandwich platters. The sandwiches were a big hit at our event and we cannot thank the Marlboro Mr. Subs enough for your generosity, compassion, kindness and making this process so easy. Please patronize our local businesses who support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society . Thank you again to Parth, the Manager at Mr. Subs Marlboro read more

This place was attended given a deal they have on Sunday. When 2 subs are ordered, the 3rd one is free. 6 subs were tried and are listed below. All of the cold subs are served with lettuce, tomato, onions, salt, pepper, and oregano. They were also all 16''. They were able to put other condiments on the side such as spicy brown mustard, mayonnaise, and oil and vinegar. The subs were ready upon arrival. Cheesesteak - This was a good tasting original cheesesteak. The beef was tender while the bread was not too hard or soft. Chicken Cheesesteak - This was probably my favorite tasting sub of the day. It had a great balance of toppings that included peppers and onions. Roast Beef and American Cheese - This was a cold roast beef sandwich, which was another delight. There was just not enough cheese present on this particular sandwich. Oven Roasted Turkey and Cheese - Again, there was not enough cheese present. The turkey was solid, but overall, the sub was a little plain. Salami, Bologna, and Cheese - My first time trying this combination on a sub and I liked what I tasted. The salami and bologna really went well with one another. Italian - Their Italian sub consisted of ham, salami, capicola, and cheese. There was way too much oregano present and it was too soggy. Will I go back? Yes. read more

We are trying to support local businesses during these crazy times. Subs were delicious! I had the 8 in honey turkey and cheese with the works and banana peppers. My husband had the Mr. Sub with the works. Bread was soft. They added the right amount of oil and vinegar and the seasonings. Will definitely come back. Sorry no pictures. read more

Tried to overcharge me on a good, but frankly overpriced sandwich. Then tried to tell me it's sales tax. Sub rang up for more than the menu board said. They wouldn't honor the menu board price, which, if I'm not mistaken, is illegal. I'm sure I'm not welcome back after challenging their BS explanation. Oh well. read more

This Place Has By Far The Best Cheesesteak I've Ever Had ! Anybody that doesn't agree has Bad Taste in Food ! The bread itself was amazing. Soft yet a toasted crunch in the right place ! The onions and peppers were Sautéed! The Steak was very good quality and cooked well , The choice of cheese used made the sandwich creamy and Tasty! They took their time with this and I really enjoyed my sandwich. read more

Love this place. It's quite addicting. Bread is always perfect. Breakfast food is really good as well. Quick service, friendly staff.

Came here for Elite Week to redeem my half sub order. I was greeted by a friendly employee, who cheerfully gave me suggestions on which sandwich to order. Getting my sandwich from start to finish was fast and easy. The decor is minimalistic, with a handful of chairs and benches and a no frills menu. There are plenty of chips, beverages, and fresh salads dispersed throughout the shop. My half oven gold turkey with everything on it was all right. The bread was addictively chewy and fresh, leaving me with a great mouthfeel after each bite. The turkey was in between wet and dry, and mainly condensed into a sheet of turkey when bitten into. The oregano, pepper, salt, oil & vinegar, lettuce, and tomato were sadly missing from my taste buds. Overall, the food is okay, but the service is great. I may come back if I'm in the area looking for a quick bite to eat. read more

Thank you to Sara and Mr Subs for the Elite Event. I was able to experience the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was not overall hot. The heat was mild and the chicken was dry. I would like to comment on how neat my sandwich was put together. The bread was also very fresh. We sat there and enjoyed half of my sandwich, it was bigger than I thought. But so worth the drive. This was my first experience in a Mr. Subs. Glad it was so satisfying. I would share my experience with friends and send them to this location. Guys there were very pleasant and engaged us in small talk. I like that about sandwich shops. It's not all about running in and out of places without taking in the friendly service. read more

Love the angry bird sandwich! I feel like the spiciness I like about the sauce is inconsistent. Sometimes its spicy sometimes not so much but still good overall read more

That turkey sub is not what their subs look like I got a half turkey and there were 6 very very thin slices . I had to add extra meat from my frig . 3 different times My son or I have been there and asked for no onions because of an allergy and all times they put onions . Yes maybe we should have payed attention because of the allergy, we were sent to the register to pay then stand and wait out of view. This place has gone down hill . They need to hire someone that knows how to really make a sub is friendly and knows how to handle busy situations. read more

This place never gets old for me. They give such a sufficient amount of meat on every sandwich and the bread is always soft and fresh. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I would've taken a pic of my delicious turkey and provolone sub but uhh errr I already ate it. ‍. read more

Ordered whole Italian (capicola, ham, salami, cheese) sub (13.76 incl tax) with everything in it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sub was about 18 inches long. Definitely enough to share. As was mentioned a little light on meat, though it all tasted good. A police officer officer walked in behind me, always a good sign. I will return. read more

This sandwich shop is ok. Definitely better than Subway, because at least they slice their meat and cheese fresh for your sandwich. That being said, I don't think it's any better than a place like Jersey Mike's, which is kind of disappointing. The good: -Their service is top notch. Really friendly guys answering the phone and behind the counter making the sandwiches. -The bread is super soft, and they claim to bake them locally from their partnered bakery. -You get to choose between white or whole wheat for no extra charge. -Their whole subs are also 16 inches long. Not too shabby... What could be improved: -The amount of meat they put on their sandwich pales in comparison to some of my favorite sandwich places around Jersey. I compared cross sectional pictures of the sandwiches side by side just to make sure it wasn't just my imagination. Sure enough, Mr. Subs only pile on about half the meat that some of the other great sandwich shops do. I think I'd be ok with a sub that was a few inches shorter if it was piled high with filling. Maybe my fat ass just got spoiled from some of these places that really pile it on, because the taste of the sandwich was still great. I was just a little disappointed to open up my sandwich and see it look so flat. read more

Don't call this place during lunch hours they will be extremely rude and do not care if you've been a long standing customer, I've been going to Mr subs for the 10+ years and today I will sadly never return I ordered a roast beef and they always heat it up for me there is no other way for me to consume it. On 12:30 April 21st a young lady answered the phone and made me feel like nothing. Thanks young lady for not only ruining my lunch but ruining my day. read more

Please do not apply vinegar and oil to the BREAD, it makes for a sopping wet mess and ruins the great sandwich. putting it on the actual meat and toppings works best, thanks 4/29/2021 walked in for a roast beef/turkey sub around 530pm, whoever was dressing the sandwiches was very stingy with tomato/lettuce/onion/mayo and dressing. although i asked for extra vinegar, i got a dry sub with 2 little end slices of tomato. the week before, my hot pastrami was greasy and light on the meat. time to try another sub shop read more

Once in a while, I'll come to Mr. subs to in North Brunswick for lunch, because I work close to the area. But lately the sandwiches have been subpar. I love mr subs, however I only order the fat Buffalo sandwich, with ranch! Every single time I've received the sandwich, the bread is so soft and warm. The size of the fat sandwiches is a little small, but they are very filling. Definitely recommend to try it at least once read more

Subs just arrived via Seamless. Forgot the Mayo, forgot the soda (both on receipt). I could probably live without both. Deal-breaker is the meat - definitely not the advertised Boar's Head; slimy cold-cut I could've bought in the pre-packaged section at Shop-Rite. Not a real Jersey sub. Don't waste your time. PS: Called about the soda; 'not sure, maybe call Seamless.' Awesome customer service, thanks. read more

Great subs. The owner and people who work there are extremely friendly. They always give back to our communities.

Says they use boars head meats and they don't. They get their deli meats from a depot. Seen it firsthand.I also have an issue with high sodium and msg in meats that will give me headaches. Specifically asked if it was board head because I know I can eat that brand. Wound up getting a headache after eating there. read more
