I also redeemed a free coupon for mozzarella sticks through the Sonic app, and they were easily the worst mozzarella sticks I've ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. I have never met a less intelligent group of people. I pull up to get my three slushes. Pay with a $20, she gives me $24 back. Two of them were not mixed together so I knock on the window to return them. "Sometimes our machines do that". She hands me back a totally different order so I have to knock on the window AGAIN to let her know the order is once again wrong. She then takes the drink, I still got the wrong drink and not mixed. My husband and I stopped in for a soda and an order of tots. They have a drive-thru which we used or you can go under the carport to order food. Our order came out fast without only a minor problem. The tots were on the greasier side and minimal meaning no extra tots. They were out of coke zero so we ended up getting diet Dr. Pepper instead. There are NO fast food chains around the Del Valle area except for this establishment, so it's a real disappoinment knowing this is the closest place to go if you're in the mood for fast food. So awful it's not even worth going to, even if you're desperate. I'm almost positive they just leave their food premade and under a heat lamp all day long. Got a breakfast burrito there yesterday. It was made incorrectly and the egg smelled rotten and looked 100 years old. And what is with the kids who work there?! No manners, no sh*TS given. Stopped by Sonic in Del Valle tonight. When the young man with beads in his hair brought my food I asked if he would mind bringing me a packet of marinara sauce. He kind of nodded and went back inside. I decided in that moment that I was going to give him a large bill as a tip when he came back with sauce. I pulled the $20 from my wallet and waited, and waited and waited. My food was getting cold. He never returned so I eventually left. I was sad that I was not able to bless him with a nice tip and sad for him that he doesn't even know what he missed out on by not returning with my sauce. read more

This sonic is awful. I love sonic drinks so I come here often for them but every time they are so slow. 2 drinks shouldn't take 20 minutes. The food is always wrong and we have had to send things back every time. Carhops will cuss to you about other customers. The manager, Chris, seems nice and he is relatively new to this location so I hope things start to get better soon. This location is always a disappointment. After developing schizophrenia, I took to going to this Sonic location, because it is a place that I could walk to. For a while, I liked coming here a lot, and I enjoyed the food. At first, they got my orders right, and I had no bad experiences. Then, they messed around with my orders a bit. Once, they said that they could not take one item off, but I knew from experience that they could, and that they were lying to me. Another time, I was told that they did not have cheese for my pretzel, but I was paranoid about this, and asked around, and they did have some. One time, I got my meal, but then I had a bad experience walking home. My auditory hallucinations were very bad, and I connected this to the Sonic. When I got home, the burger tasted very bad and made me throw up. I wished that I hadn't bought it. This mad me cry, because I had liked going to Sonic. The last time that I went here, they tried to give me somthing I didn't order. It said something about a manager's something on the board. The Sonic on Burnet is nice, though. The issue is not with the whole chain, but with one location. I thought that I had been singled out for some unknown reason, until I read the other reviews here on Yelp. The sonic really sucks now. They used to be the best. And considering it's literally the only thing that is in Del Valle that you can actually eat at. You'd think they would actually try to take pride in their food but they actually don't. Every last one of their drinks that are in the Limeade category. The first review must be from someone working there because this location is the WORST in "Austin". I can guarantee almost every person who visits this sonic has their order completely screwed up. Almost every time I have visited this location they have given me someone else's order, something extra or not fully completed my order. I can say that when I visit in the early afternoon hours my order is correct but after 5pm forget it! That must be when the manager leaves or something because WOW. Like others have said the service sucks! There are just a bunch of kids playing around. Corporate needs to personally come to this location and get it right.
