I ate at this Sonic on Sunday and was drugged. Then when I called the Manager and spoke to him on Sunday and told him that I had been drugged and the first thing he said was he would remake the order for me. I then called him back and told him I had went to the doctor and they said I was drugged. I asked him for the phone number to the head office and he refused and told me he would take care of it. I was excited to move to a place that had a Sonic five minutes away, but it has been nothing but disappointment. Usually it's in the afternoon, but today it happened in the morning. I waited almost ten minutes to get food, trying a stall and then the drive-thru, with no answer. When I circled the building to leave, a Sonic employee flagged me down and asked if I wanted to order. I told her I'd been waiting fifteen minutes to order (I arrived before they opened without realizing it and waited until they opened) and asked why no one was answering the stalls or drive-thru. She told me they opened at nine, and I told her I understood that, but it's 9:10 and no one's taking orders. She told me she was going to "leave it alone" and asked if I wanted to order or not. So I went down the road to Burger King instead. There's no reason to be unresponsive and argumentative when it's ten minutes after opening. I just wanted breakfast. Have you ever tried their French toast sticks? C'mon! As much as I love Sonic's breakfast, it's just not worth the hassle. The majority of the time I either have to wait 10+ minutes just to place an order or worse not have my order taken at all. Once I pulled up to the window and told them I had been waiting 12 minutes and I just wanted to order, and placed my order right then and there at the window. It shouldn't be that hard. I don't know if it's a bad manager or a terrible franchisee, but something needs to change. They're probably successful by default because they're the only Sonic in the vicinity. But they don't provide a good experience. They need to fire everyone and start over. Until then, I'm done with the Chelsea Sonic. read more

Not a huge fan of hotdogs, but often when I am in the mood to grab one, I stop by Sonic. I love the general ambiance of Sonic, with the outdoor dining set up, fun designs, and the bright lights. The employees at this location are often kind, and I love when I see one in roller-skates. My experience at this particular time was fine. I order an All-American hot dog and a corn dog all from the outdoor space. The hot dog was placed within a paper box and wrapped in a fine tin foil bag. The corn dog was placed simply in a paper bag. Both were warm and prepared correctly. The All-American dog was fine. Coated in ketchup, mustard, onions, and relish, the flavor was very nice. However, I really enjoyed the corn dog. The breading was very appetizing, and with a dash of mustard the flavor was fantastic. All in all good experience, will dine here again. read more

I went to Sonic specifically for a milkshake but I was told that their machine was down. half the menu is ice cream, how is the machine not being properly maintained. So I order a chicken sandwich meal after waiting in the drive thru line for a rather long time while watching an employee play on her phone. When I got my drink they gave me the smallest straw possible and the employee was laughing about how they won't have any until tomorrow. I was the only car in the drive up stalls and after waiting way too long for one sonic blast, I asked an employee returning from a smoke break to please check on my order. It was brought out by a teen boy who said the carhop forgot to bring it out after it was made. They probably forgot because they were too busy hanging out outside and playing on their phones. I could see it was melted and he agreed it was; he asked if I wanted it remade (reluctantly) and I said yes. It was brought out another 7-10 min later (after I'm sure they all took turns spitting in it) by a female teen who said in a roll-her-eyes tone, "Here...sorry it was melted." I asked for her name and why the attitude when I had done nothing wrong, and she tried to lie and tell a different story about their machine being broken and the ice cream all melted. She also replied, "I don't have a name." I told her the other guy had already told me it was forgotten and that's why it was melted and there was no need to lie or give me a hard time. She carried on and ended with, "You know what? You're a bitch!" and walked off giving me the finger. I'm a local, always tip well here, and it's sad that this is the "customer service" norm at so many places these days. Seriously the slowest sonic I've ever been to. Definitely cannot consider this place fast food. My daughters and I went the other day and ordered basic drinks and waited almost 15 minutes. It would have been faster for me to drag both of my kids in wal Mart and buy a drink than to pull up and order here. A few weeks before that I went through and ordered a plain chicken sandwich for my son and waited almost twenty minutes. Definitely expect a long wait if you come here. read more

My chili cheese fries had obviously sat there for awhile because they were already mush by the time they got to me. Then they shut their lights off on us while we were still eating. They close at 10pm and rudely cut the lights off at 9:50. I won't be going back. After we packed up and left, I decided to leave a yelp review. The only consistency to the Chelsea Sonic is that it is an unmitigated disaster. They always claim there is something wrong with the drive thru and request that you pull into a stall. This has been going on for months. Placed our order waited over 20 minutes for our food. The order was wrong. The server went back in and "fixed the order". I thought for sure it would be right since I told her EXACTLY what should be included. When we got home the order was still wrong. This is the third time in a row this has happened. Food is standard fast-food. Service is from time to time okay. The drinks are fantastic. Too bad the service is usually terrible or I'd give this place a much higher rating. This is the worst service and food I have ever received. I went through the drive through line waited ten minutes and watched them take the person behind us in lines order out to them come back in and pay for it. Then brought our food to the window and sat it out to get cold while they fixed our drink. I got my philly CHEEESE steak sandwich with two dots of cheese on it and asked them to put cheese on it and was told not unless I wanted to pay extra.
